Downtown Airporter by Shuttle Express

**IF AT SEA TAC, YOU MUST CHECK IN!** READ THIS!
from baggage claim, walk across to parking garage from overpass walk way #4. Take the escalator down to 3^rd floor. Right in front slightly to right is a ROUND desk for SUPER SHUTTLE. Check in there with staff. Then walk around toward parking where vans are parked. Do not go outside to island 2. Kinda confusing.
* Make reservation online. But I think if at airport you can just go to the desk. You may be waiting in the «20 min window».
I’ve used this shared shuttle service as I live downtown near the hotels. I normally take the light rail, but when I have alot of luggage (skis), I get picked up at the Sheraton and off we go. It’s almost always early/​on time. $ 18 each way is an awesome deal.
I’ve even arrived early at Sea Tac and able to bump up my reservation to the one leaving get 30 min earlier.
Sometimes the driver has a bad attitude. Most of the time they are great, though overly chatty.

I scheduled a pickup but then had a friend offer a ride. I called back within 5 min of my original call but was told they can’t refund me if the pickup is within 24 hrs. It doesn’t seem like it should be that hard to take a stop out of their system, and their refusal to refund me cost $ 50 bucks.
I won’t be using their service again due to their unwillingness to be flexible.

I booked with these folks, who promised a shuttle within 20 – 30 minutes. After 35 minutes, they said it would be 37 MORE minutes. Meanwhile many other customers waited in a freezing garage space and drivers called out passenger names one at a time, loading them and their baggage separately. That way, it took 20 minutes to load a van!
I went next-​door to SpeediShuttle, was immediately placed in a comfy Mercedes van, and hustled to my destination. Onboard, the driver mentioned that Shuttle Express had changed hands and many of the more experienced staff had left. Prospective customers should too!

arrived at the SEA airport and went right to the booth, there were no van available, even with a reservation that was made 4 weeks prior. Had to wait over an hour then a big bus came for about 15 of us and we proceeded to make at least 10 stops until we finally got to the cruise ship. Would have been faster to take a cab

My husband booked a round trip from the Seattle Airport to the Warwick Hotel. The trip into the city was fine. The return trip to the airport was another story. His flight left at 3:00 pm and he was told two hours was plenty of time to get to the airport on a Saturday. At 1:00 pm he was waiting in the lobby when the driver called to say he was running late. At 1:35 my husband had to take a taxi in order to make his flight. He barely made it on the airplane before they closed the door. I made two phone calls to get our $ 13.00 back. The first lady I talked was very rude and said I had to talk to management. No one ever called us back even after I called their corporate headquarters. Poor service and horrible customer service. Don“t use this company!

For my return trip back to the airport, the driver just didn’t show up. You had one job!
Had to take a $ 55 cab ride to get to the airport in time. Trying to get that money reimbursed (unexpected $ 55 expense is a lot of money!) has been a lot of me calling them, and none of them calling me back. Unprofessional. Still no word on that reimbursement even though I was promised a call yesterday before EOD.
On the one ride I did take with them, the driver was great on the way in from the airport, but they made us wait around and the car was not super clean.

It has taken more than 30 minutes to get a shuttle. I could have rode the rail for a lot less and been to my hotel by now. They also over charged me on the phone, but gave me a refund when I pointed out the difference.

I have used airporter shuttle express once before my most current trip.
First trip– dec 2008– caught the shuttle from the airport to n seattle– wait time at airport approximately 15 mins. Service was courteous and seamless.
Second trip– july 2015– I reserved a ride for my son and i. Nice perk that kids ride free! Our original time of arrival to Seattle was 8pm. Unfortunately due to a five our flight delay in our trip, we did not arrive to Seattle until 1 am. On our layover in Atlanta i called shuttle express to let them know that we would be arriving later. I was assured that it was no problem and that a shuttle would be available upon our arrival.
Upon arrival we made our way to the parking garage. Several people were waiting on the benches as well. A note directed me to use the phone nearby to call the office to let them know we had arrived. The staff member told me that they were running behind schedule and that i would have an hour wait. Not the best news as i had now been traveling almost 24 hours due to delays, etc.
shuttle express explains on their website that they combine reservations according to destination and that there is often a wait time.
2 hrs later our van arrived. Luckily it was summer and relatively warm in the garage. Not sure how comfortable it would have been in the winter. The driver was helpful loading luggage. We finally made it home by 4 am.

Now with options such as über and lyft — i will most likely use these options instead. c

Plane touched down an hour and a half ago. No sign of a single van or shuttle. No one at the front desk and you have to use a phone. So you sit, alone, for at least an hour and a half and who knows how much more. Do NOT book in advance that way you can jump in a cab guilt free.

Shuttle to the hotel and pickup from the hotel were 2 WILDLY different experiences.
Arriving at SeaTac, I proceeded to the booth, where my reservation was recognized, and I was told to wait on the side benches until the driver came. Well, after the arrival of about 7 or 8 vans in the course of an hour, my name still wasn’t called. The booth personnel were neither interested nor concerned, as if this was business as usual. Finally I arrived at the hotel 2 hours after the plane touched ground in WA.
After my stay I was scheduled for a 4:40 a.m. pickup at my hotel for return to the airport. The driver was punctual to the minute and informed me that there would be one more rider. He had us at the airport within 30 minutes. He was friendly and courteous.
Go figure.

Online reserved a round trip airport-​hotel, had to wait more the 20 mins at the airport, ok it happens. For pick up it was a suttle 5 mins past our schedule time, the driver rudly said he was only dropping passanger, when asked he said he didn’t know anything. They called said it will be 20 minutes late; arrived over 35 minutes late, and we had to go pick up another passanger, who also had been waiting for the service for one hour. To top it all, they have iThe worst costumer service I ever experience.

The most odd experience I have ever been through. The driver stopped at green lights… stopped in the middle of lanes, drove under the speed limit by at least 5 mph and wanted to drop us off 6 blocks away from the ferry terminal… needless to say we’ll be using the taxi services from now on…

Stood in front of the Crowne Plaza promptly at my 12:30 pickup time They called my celll and said they would be 12:45 Fine. I stayed at the curb returning email on my phone. At 12:48 I called and she said van 957 would be there in 3 – 5 min. Fine. 5 minutes later van 957 goes cruising by in the far lane not even looking towards the CP. I call them back and she tells me he marked me a no show! Had to get a taxi. I demanded a credit for the entire round trip to cover the taxi. Unbelievable! We will see if my card is actually credited.

Nightmare! Beware! Take a taxi, only a few more bucks. Don’t chance missing your return flight. The poor ladies working the airport don’t have any idea where the vehicles are at. They have no contact!!! Waited almost a hour, then got refunded. Took a cab.

Never try this on a weekends/holiday’s. They will keep you waiting at the airport for hours !!! Delay will be 1 – 2 hrs !!! Non rush hours its a good service !!! You can cancel if required and make use of the money later, so flexibility is good !!!

Great service!.. We needed to catch a plane from Sea-​Tac at 7am… We were staying with friends in downtown and it appeared that the Downtown Airporter has a pick-​up from Warwick Hotel, which is located two block from our friends condo… The van showed up precisely at 5am and delivered us to the airport by 5:25am with plenty of time to check-​in and get to the terminal… Polite driver, good driving, reasonable price of $ 36… Gratitude!..

Snow storm 2012, no cabs would take me home up Capitol Hill and all of my friends were snowed in. I was left no choice but to pay 39 $ (so over priced!!!) for a shuttle downtown. They are professional drivers, driving plowed roads with chains, charging an arm and a leg and they would not take me all the way home. We’re talking less than 5″ of snow here, people. Come. On.
Also the customer service is the worst part. I had just come from the Caribbean and was in leggings and toms with a light hoodie. They would not let me sit inside of the doors to wait 20+ minutes for my van to arrive. I asked if they could just let me wait inside 50 feet away and call my cell when the van got there and they interrupted me to tell me «absolutely not» and that I would probably miss my van? When the van got there I was shivering so violently I was shaking for half an hour.
Take black crown car service, it’s $ 1 more expensive and 1000% better customer service. Oh and you get a private town car.

Scheduled a pick up for 5:25 A.M. with Shuttle Express. I walked out of my hotel 5 mins late and called looking for the shuttle and they marked me as a «no show». I called and asked why they didn’t call or look for me and his reply was «they don’t do that». They went ahead and charged me the full price for two people and i was S.O.L. I ended up having to pay a Yellow Cab $ 40 so that I could make it to the airport on time.
I called Customer Service asked for a refund and they hung up on me and their admin. office is impossible to reach over the phone.

We reserved the shuttle online prior to our trip. On the trip to the airport, the driver was professional. However, they picked us up 3.5 hours before our flight to allow for driving around Seattle for over an hour. We were at the gate an hour before boarding. Not sure the $ 10 – 20 savings over a cab was worth our entire evening, but good enough.
However when we showed up at the airport for our return shuttle 10 min prior to our reservation time (midnight) I was told there would be a 30 min wait. Other customers were complaining about waits longer than that. She said they had to wait for more vans (5 stood empty in the parking lot.) When asked what the reservation time meant, she said «a lot of people have reservations» — so they take more than they can honor? A cab cost us $ 52 and left immediately, yes pricier than the $ 36 for the shuttle, but after 10 hours traveling, it was well worth it. At least they didn’t hassle me when I requested a refund.

**FAST, EFFICIENT, AND FRIENDLY**
Perhaps I shouldn’t care about transportation pricing since it was a business trip, but I still believe in good value.
$ 45 taxi vs. $ 19 shuttle.
I opted for the shuttle.
Came every 30 minutes.
Dropped me off directly in front of my hotel and I tipped my driver $ 5.
EASY PEASY.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND for solo or couples who are not in a huge rush.
