Diamond Nails & Waxing

I went in at 1pm and I was the only customer at that time. But the lady was so rush for the whole manicure. My thumb even bled due to her carelessness but she didn’t even apologize or say anything. The whole manicure took about 20 mins. After that, the lady just sat back to one of the massage chair.

Heads up! There are two Diamond Nails locations in Queen Anne. One on Queen Anne Ave and the other on 1^st Ave, which are basically around the corner from each other & owned by the same people. I learned this the hard way cause a friend of mine made a 7pm appointment at the other, and I showed up to this one. haha Thankfully, they were understanding and took me in anyway.
My appointment was for a shellac manicure along with regular pedicure. Throughout the whole process I felt very rushed. I assumed since there was no one else there, they would be able to take their time. Wrong! Both mani & pedi took 30 minutes! This was including the time it took me to pick out polish colors. I don’t think I have ever been worked on so quickly. I am not sure why they were in such a hurry. There were no other customers and seemed as if there were no appointments on the book for the rest of the night. It was a very bazaar feeling. The staff was polite and accommodating in the beginning. They just moved very quickly… too quick for my liking. I feel as if I never really got a chance to settle in and relax.
In the end, nails seemed to look ok. Overall pleased with how they looked initially. It is now 6 days later and my «ok» shellac manicure is already beginning to chip (on all 10 fingers!). For me, usually I can last at least 3 weeks. It is so disappointing.
I really don’t want to bash this place. The owner and employees are so sweet, and it’s great that they are open later than most establishments. A word of advice would be instead of rushing for turn over, to take a little more time to make customers feel relaxed and pampered. I think this will also help in creating longer lasting manicures, which will keep your clients coming back for more.

I was a walk in on a weekday around 2:30 with one other customer finishing up with her nails. They seated me immediately. The lady that did my nails was nice, and pretty quick. I like that their shellac and gel manicures are both only $ 25.
One thing that was really strange and disappointing was when I was finished, I let her know I also wanted an eyebrow wax. There were 3 other workers just sitting there because I was the only one in there. She just said they couldn’t do that for me… I’m not sure if she was worried it would affect her tip if she personally didn’t know how to wax or they all happened to have appointments coming, but an eyebrow wax takes about 10 minutes… I will probably check out another salon next time but I wouldn’t be completely opposed to returning here either.

Worst manicure I’ve received in Seattle to date.
The tech only halfway removed my previous gel manicure because, as the owner angrily informed me, the 2-​week old shellac polish was «stuck in the holes in my nails forever.» Her screaming didn’t lend much credence to the claim, but she certainly gave it the old college try. After an aggressive and improbable assessment of the situation, her tech proceeded to begin painting over the half– removed polish. Admittedly, this is when I should have walked out. Instead, I let her finish the job. She globbed so much new shellac onto my nails in an effort to cover the half-​completed removal that I ended up with a thick coat of puffy polish, cotton fibers, and brush hairs. It took twice as long as I’ve ever seen to get it to dry.
It was a ridiculous experience, and in a city with plenty of other options, I definitely won’t be back.

Very strange place. I walked in and the place was completely empty. They told me they were too busy to do a fill and asked me to come back later. I decided this and the other really bad reviews was my sign to skip this place.

I received a shellac manicure and pedicure. Both services were completed in less than 45 minutes. While my appointment was one of the last of the evening, poor quality for paying customers wasn’t merited.

Got in right away since they were empty when my favorite spa a block away was filled with people waiting to get their nails done. That should have warned me. I walked out with the worst gel manicure I’ve ever seen.

Great prices, usually can fit you in right away. Love the massage chairs. Have used many times when I need a little spa treatment. I would definitely recommend!

Worst shellac manicure I have received. The manicure was full of air bubbles. There a patches where it is evident that the top coat is missing. The color coat is streaked. Shellac was stuck to the sides of my finger along the nail. This was impossible to remove without damaging the nail job. Although I was the only person in the salon initially, the job was extremely rushed and sloppy. I will not be returning.

Gone are the good service days. Waited 30 min for someone who was going to be ready to provide service in 2 – 3 min. Totally unapologetic and no concern for other people’s time.
Next time I made an appointment and it did not matter that they start on time. Seriously, not worth your time.

Love this place! I used to go there back when I would crash with my ex in Queen Anne, and I still hoof it over there and risk awkwardly running into him to get my nails done at Diamond. They are friendly, cleanly, and do a very good job for the low prices they charge. I’ve had shellac mani/​pedis from there that have lasted over a month! I also love the music they play. I’ve never had to wait very long at all, and they have hours that work with my busy schedule. They even give you a punch card so you can eventually earn free services, AND they always give you a little bit of a arm/​hand or foot/​leg massage with a mani or pedi! Plus, they always have the latest gossip magazines. Basically, it’s everything I look for in a nail salon.

Not worth the $ 30 for French tips. A little rushed and sloppy. Not horrible, just wouldn’t go back. (uneven lines and a little inconsistent.)

Diamond Nails provided non-​frills service for only $ 15. On a normal basis I would go elsewhere, but I wanted to get a quick pedicure during my lunch break and Diamond Nails happened to be the closest salon. They got me in right away and finished within 20 minutes. The foot massage wasn’t great, and the massage chairs seemed outdated. Go to Diamond for the convenience, not to be pampered.

Finally, I found my trust worthy spot! I’ll even taxi over every time (: kind people, gentle hands, great and beautiful
experience! Plus they play the lion king sound track and backstreet boys. Too fun for a holiday when everybody else was closed!

Great nail spot. $ 10 mani, $ 17 pedicure. Going on the third day and my nails still haven’t started to chip, and my nails pretty much always chip. They did a lovely job and they offer a great leg and arm massage. I thought about offering up another $ 20 if she would keep rubbing my arms :) felt so good.

I love coming to Diamond. Even though it’s out of my way, they always take the time to make sure to do my nails right and I’m happy and satisfied with the work. If I didn’t end up liking the design or the colors, they are always willing to redo the job without ever expressing any feeling of annoyance or frustration. If there’s something new I want to explore, they are happy to take the time to do so with me and never charge extra. I always feel comfortable asking for exactly what I want and getting a fair price for a great job done.

I should start by saying I walk in to any nail shop knowing I can do my nails myself and do a better job at it 75% of the time. However, time is money and it is a hell of a lot easier to sit in a massage chair and have someone else paint my nails and rub my feet for me.
That being said, Diamond Nails has definitely dropped in quality of service over the past year. I used to walk out feeling rejuvenated and pleased, but after the service today I think I may have to find a new place to get my nails done :(
An unfamiliar face did my pedicure today, and man oh man did her lack of experience shine, not to mention there was the largest language barrier between us. Most often I come in with my nails already cut short to avoid them not cutting them short enough OR cutting them too short, but still expect some filling and shaping. Primarily I want my cuticles cleaned up and a good foot massage. I asked to pay extra for extra massage time, she acknowledged my request and it seemed like she understood, but I only had 3 minutes total. (Didn’t get charged for extra, but that’s why I went in!) Double :(
My toes are painted. The dead skin is mostly gone (and it isn’t like I had much to take care of, I get pedis on the reg). However, it’s time to shop around for a new nail shop. I think a new spot opened on Market in Ballard near Great Harvest Bread Co… Mmhmmm.

Best shellac I have EVER had! They are so detailed and make sure the nails look perfect! Not every salon does that. As a matter of fact, last one was the sloppiest I have been to!

I used to live in Queen Anne, and I walked here every weekend. I have since moved to West Seattle, but still come over here to get my nails done.
They are the best! The staff is super nice. I never have to wait. You can get a manicure for $ 10, a shellac manicure for $ 25, or a pedicure for $ 15. Super cheap! I love the massages they give.
I have gotten manicures and pedicures at other places, and I always come back to Diamond Nails.
