Jody was professional and amazing. One of the best facials I have ever received. The ease of booking an appointment online is a great benefit. For an independent company the online booking tool feels like you are booking with a major corporation, it is easy and to the point.
When you get settled in the room the music is nice and relaxing and Jody tells you each step of the facial process what is going to happen next. It was very relaxing, except for the actual cleaning of the pours, that can be a little painful if you are not used to someone squeezing on your face and nose. Otherwise the music is at a nice level and when you are relaxing and letting the treatment do its thing it is easy to fall asleep, I which I did.
Guys this is for your just as much as it is for the women. Well worth the cost and you get some great knowledge on what to do to keep your skin looking young and fresh.

Hands down the best, most efficient facial I have ever had. I went 1 time so far, and my skin has been improving ever since. Not only are they extremely knowledgeable and professional, but they really care about making sure you are happy and comfortable, while in their care. I will be going back monthly for a long, long, time. Again, my skin has completely cleared up, and I have only gone one time! I can not wait to work with Jody again at my next appointment.

It’s about time I write about my Dermaspace experience! I come here to see Chante about once a month religiously. This is the only facial that I actually «believe in». My skin has never looked better! I have struggled with chronically clogged pores for over 24 years. Like most folks, I’ve tried just about everything to help. This is by far the most unique and helpful facial I’ve ever had.
The positive experience started at the front desk, with a calming office environment and super friendly staff. Jody is very skilled at what he does and it really comes across in his presentation. What I loved most about this whole experience was that I felt comfortable the whole time. Jody is comfortable joking with you while also confidently explaining the process. No one here treated you like you were dumb for not having any idea what to expect! It didn’t feel stuffy but still felt quality.

I was looking for a treatment that could help with my pigmentation and Adult acne, and then after a lot of research I decided on Dermaspace! Jody was fantastic and very gentle on my skin. A day after my treatment my skin feels smooth and growing acne have dried up. Dint realize that one treatment would have such results! Definitely coming back

I have received several facials before and never really felt like my skin was getting what it really needed. So far I have been here twice to see Chante and she listen to what I wanted for my skin and focused on just that. Which is EXACTLY what I wanted!
Chante is amazing! She explained everything to me and the benefits of the products she was using. I have had terrible skin for almost all of my adult life, acne, acne scars, blotches, large pores, sun damage. I have wanted to try a facial but was always scared of the creams breaking me out or causing a reaction but I looked into the Iderm facial and thought I’d give it a chance.
I’ve now been seeing Chante for the last several months and my skin has never looked better. I can’t believe it, it’s smooth, clear, even toned. I really never thought I could look like this with no makeup. People actually tell me I have good skin, ARE YOU KIDDING!?! Seriously, she has been a God send.

Ok, so I model and have problematic skin with traveling a lot and make up build up in my pores. My girlfriend who works for Dlist Magazine told me about DERMASPACE. She had dry, patchy skin, that was break out. After 3 sessions her skin looked better, more glowing. Decided to try it for myself.
Jody is super cool and professional. He purged my skin and made it stop freaking out. I wasn’t convinced after my first visit. It was my second visit that sold me. My skin was tighter, clearer, and my pores looked sooooooo much better!
I have been seeing Jody for about a year. I see him once a month. Finally did the microdermabrasion last session. I don’t know why I didn’t do it sooner. It sucks the dead skin cells off leaving your face clearer, smoother, and helps skin products absorb better. It doesn’t sound very sexy but your skin will thank you.

This is WAY overdue and I really had no plans to write a review, but I got an email from them asking me to submit a Unilocal review. So they get what they asked for:
They might be a 5-​star business, but only IF you actually get to make an appointment and IF they actually be at the office at the time of your appointment.
I made an appointment with Jody, I got an automatic email confirming my appointment at 2:30 AM… Yes, 2:30 in the MORNING. So, I had to call again later to fix it and the receptionist said, oh, sometimes this calendar gets weird and doesn’t work right. No apologies, lame excuse blaming it on the technology. I wanted to book 2:30 PM but turned out it was booked, so I had to postpone my appointment for a couple of weeks. IMAGINE, had I not paid attention to the AM/​PM thing and had showed up there at 2:30 PM instead… Of course they would not have been able to see me and of course they would have blamed it on me and the technology.
Their next available appointment was on a big shopping day; Black Friday. You don’t need to be from Seattle to know that downtown Seattle gets super crowded on Black Friday. I actually asked the receptionist if he is sure that they’d take appointments that day and he said he is positive and they have other appointments scheduled. I was leaving the country that weekend, so I took it.
So, I headed there an hour early knowing that parking would be a problem, found a parking a few blocks down, plowed my way through the crowd to their building, took the elevator, and here I am at the door… but nobody is there. Looking around for possibly another entrance, nope… all the lights are off, so I called their number and left a message. I thought to wait maybe someone shows up and I started reading my emails… there I saw an email from them sent AN HOUR (58 minutes to be exact) prior to my appointment saying that they’d like to cancel my appointment… There was a cell number to call back so I called but all I got was another lame excuse, «downtown traffic is much worse than we anticipated, we did not realize how much congestion there would be, also our other appointments got cancelled and Jody doesn’t think it’s worth his time driving all the way there for one appointment.» and he added that he tried to call my number THAT MORNING but the number he had on file was off by a digit. Sure, blame that on technology too, sir…
Later on they texted that Jody likes to offer $ 20 off my next appointment. I thought for a business that TAKES your credit card number in order to make an appointment for you, charges you full price if you miss your appointment, and charges you $ 50 if you don’t give them cancellation notice 24 hrs before the scheduled appointment, this $ 20 was too «GENEROUS». So, I texted the receptionist back that I have paid $ 18 only for parking, Jody is more than welcome to keep the $ 20 to himself.
BTW, I just looked at their reviews and found it interesting that out of 62 reviews to this date, 44 of them are from people with almost no other reviews or with less than 10 reviews max and nearly no Unilocal friends. And only 2 elites. 27 glamorous reviews from people who have only a couple of reviews are also filtered by Unilocal.Oh well! You be the judge.
PS. Isn’t it very classic that several 5-​star reviews pop up immediately after someone posts a 1-​star review?

I was in town for a short time and decided to treat myself to a facial. After reading all the incredible reviews I thought I’d give DERMASPACE a try. Had an appointment with Chante and wished I lived here, I’d be a lifelong client for sure! The setting is very quiet & private and Chante was so welcoming and friendly. She took time to speak with me about my skin and my current regimen. Chante explained everything she was doing and why it worked. I never felt pressured to buy their products, although I did choose to purchase the clay mask.
I left feeling relaxed, my face was a bit red but a couple hours later has calmed down and now my face feels refreshed and renewed. Definitely not your average spa facial — it is so much better!

I was recommended to try DERMASPACE for my first facial and I don’t think I’d ever go any other place! The office is conveniently located in the Medical Dental Building and parking is easy at Pacific Place across the street. The space is very nicely decorated and comfortable for a bit of a wait if you get facials with a friend. The hot tea was a nice touch!
On my visit I saw Chanté who in my opinion works wonders! She explained the entire process to me and made me feel at ease with what can seem a strange facial to the uninitiated. After the hour, my skin felt entirely clean, calm, and relaxed. Since my appointment, my skin has been glowing and have had no problems with blemishes. I find it is also feels much cleaner with a normal nightly cleansing than it did before the facial.
I highly recommend DERMASPACE and I appreciate how easy and relaxing the entire appointment was!

I found Dermaspace nearly a year ago and since I have gone regularly for my facials. Jody and Chanté are professional, knowledgeable, and in my humble opinion, the best skin gurus in Seattle.
Jody works Wednesday — Saturday, and Chanté Saturday — Tuesday. My schedule dictates whom I see for my next session. Both get 100% marks.

Dermaspace is located downtown, so be sure to get there with enough time to find parking, and get to your appointment on time.

Who knew Seattle would bring out the BDSM in me?! Yet, at the same time, it’s not completely a surprise given that the city is part of the liberal West Coast belt. While I have always been open-​minded, I never envisioned myself appearing as a character in a trailer of 50 Shades of Grey or Silence of the Lambs… until now. As it is said over and over, «Beauty hurts.» I had heard of the Iderm Deep Ionizing Facial Treatment, but was always a bit terrified given the pictures of the therapy process. After dealing with a childhood of acne, many years of recurrent blackheads, and more recently greasy face, I finally took the plunge and set up my appointment online for this fear factor facial. I reminded myself of the great results, positive reviews, and the fact that if picky, weak-​hearted celebrities do it, I could too!
From the minute I stepped into Dermaspace’s studio, the zen décor and colors calmed my nerves and I found myself within an urban oasis. Once I met my esthetician Chanté, I no longer had any fears or inhibitions. Heck, she could do what she wanted to me given her sweet demeanor and personality.
OK, let’s focus on the treatment, not it’s appearance or preconceived thoughts (unlike my naiveté).
The facial takes roughly an hour to hour and a half, and consists of four steps, each re-​titled by yours truly:
Step 1 — Preparation (aka, Pre-​gaming): Chanté gently cleansed and exfoliated my face while carrying on friendly conversation discussing my skin problems and type, allergy history and any other concerns or questions. All that was required of me was to lay supine on a bed under dim lights and enjoy.
Step 2 — Moisturization (aka, Hannibal treatment:
): Soft pieces of cloth soaked in yucca water (a medicinal root plant similar to a potato and pronounced «yuck-​a» or «you-​ka») detoxes the skin. A leather heated volcanic cone is then placed over the face. My maternal Finnish roots emerge by covering the top ventilation hole with a hand towel making it a facial sauna. Ahh, heaven!
Step 3 — Deep Cleaning (aka, Wax on, wax off): Chanté started at one corner and passed over every inch of my face using a low-​suction vacuum and her tweezer-​like fingers to remove any pore-​clogging debris. Thankfully, she continued to ask for feedback to make sure I remained comfortable.
Step 4 — Ionization (aka, Zombie treatment:
): During the final phase, Chanté covered my face with moistened cotton wraps drenched with facial nourishment. This was topped off with a leather mask connected to low voltage electrical current in order to ionize the solution. It has been found to «firm skin, tighten pores, decrease inflammation, increase collagen production, promote new cell growth, and reducing bacterial growth» per the Dermaspace website. For me, I felt a tolerable yet constant tickle in my face combined with an occasional twitch.
All in all, my face has never felt SO soft or grease-​free since birth! While appearing a bit bizarre, I am convinced that it is not only effective but THE BEST facial you can receive for your skin in the Pacific Northwest. It’s also worth mentioning that the treatment is basically natural AND chemical-​free! Your skin will thank you in 50 years. Both Chanté and Jody are absolutely fabulous and accommodating. –Remember, this is not a «facial spa» but more-​so physical therapy for your skin. Don’t expect too much pampering, creams or massage.

I’m not the girl that typically gets facials. I don’t have a lot of experience with them but when the opportunity to get one from Chante at Dermaspace, I jumped in. This isn’t your typical facial; it was still totally had elements of a traditional spa treatment but the ultimate goal is purifying your skin and that takes work. It isn’t a pain-​free experience because of the extraction process but Chante has soft hands and made the experience more pleasant than it otherwise would have been. Chante is absolutely skilled in doing what she does — from the moment I met her, she was sweet, entertaining and humorous. My boyfriend wanted to watch, out of curiosity — knowing that this was different than a typical facial and the curious hannibal type masks — she humored us and let him — and he left wanting to get one of his own.
The attention to detail at Dermaspace is great. We felt welcomed right away by both Chante and Jody. Chante really took the time to explain everything. I get nervous when I can’t see what’s going on and I was relieved by not having to worry about that. My skin is softer than it has ever been and my pores are finally not filled with junk!
One thing I also really value is that I learned a lot during my appointment. I didn’t realize I was missing some key elements to my facial régime that are vital in keeping down the oils. She really educated me on things that I would likely never have been able to fix on my own.
I would highly recommend both Dermaspace and seeing Chante for this unique facial experience — it’s a great place to go!
