De La Ossa Polyclinic Main Campus Surgery

Dr. De la Ossa is great! Intake, office staff, ease of scheduling, friendliness of the front desk and assistants are top notch.
More than anything, I feel at ease, comfortable and well-​cared for when I am visiting Dr. De la Ossa’s office. All of my experiences at the Polyclinic are good, but this particular surgeon is the best of the best. Competent and easy-​going, Dr. De La Ossa inspires a sense of well-​being even if the prognosis is not the best.
He has a friendly, professional bedside manner and inspires a sense of calm confidence.
Update 07/​31/​2012. I had the opportunity to experience surgery! I know, not the most pleasant of topics but something that deserves review. I’ve had the luck (?) to experience several surgeries over the past 6 months.
De La Ossa is a superb surgeon! Everything written before this update is still valid, but now his core competency is how I can bring this full circle.
De La Ossa was meticulous with pre-​surgical counseling, telling me exactly what to expect. The good and the not so good.
The surgery went without a hitch. The surgery center was running a little bit behind and Juan came out personally to let me know of the slight delay. Once I was in the recovery room, Dr. De La Ossa was very thorough in giving me a summary of what was found and what procedures he used. Even though surgery is very technical and somewhat artistic, his calm manner and reassuring smile put me at ease. He used terms and phrases that a layman would be able to understand. He was also very clear with my post operative instructions and made sure he answered all my questions. He never seems rushed of impatient, even when I ask the most inane questions.
Post operative pain is no measure of a surgeon’s skill. Patient expectations, confidence in the surgeon’s skill and information are powerful tools to a speedy recovery. Dr. De La Ossa excelled on all counts. I recommend him with my highest opinion and rating!

How often do you like surgery?
I had a bit of it at the polyclinic. Since most of my reviews are about food, I think I’ll just keep it vague as to what the surgery was.
Everyone at the Polyclinic was extremely nice, top notch customer service. Friendly, professional.
My procedure was delayed an hour, but it was barely noticeable because everyone was so nice.
I’ve only had one other surgery to compare it to at Northwest Hospital, but was a disconcerting and, in the end, botched process. They were professional but not nice.
My old doctors were at Virginia Mason and my wife had one procedure there. VM can’t seem to bill for anything correctly.
So far everything at Polyclinic has been perfect. Billing, procedure, personal service. Very very nice.
