Cool Blue Web is absolutely fabulous!!! I have a Wordpress site that was designed by another company a few years ago that desperately needed some updating and the addition of e-​commerce. It’s difficult to find a good web design and development company, and I wanted one that would be responsive, quick and accurate and Cool Blue turned out to be just that!
They responded to all of my emails quickly — I don’t think I’ve ever had to wait for more than a half an hour for a response — would make changes to my site in the same day (unless it was a bigger project, of course, like adding e-​commerce) and put up with my long and sometimes picky list of requests.
Once I accidentally deleted some important items on my site and they handled the crisis with grace. Didn’t make me feel like bad about my mistake and took care of the problem immediately.
When I’d ask their advice on subjects such as SEO or site back-​up software, they’d respond back with several options and good explanations, allowing me to make an educated decision.
I couldn’t be any happier to have this working relationship with them and would recommend them to anyone!

We had a project for a Google Maps migration from v2 to v3, so we called this company to ask for pricing. We spoke to the ‘president/​owner’, Jonathan, and we sorely disappointed with the interaction.
He asked to see the current site, which was a reasonable request. The first question he asked was about whether the site was programmed in PHP. I pointed out the fact that this was irrelevant, since hopefully the front end changes would not affect the backend, and that furthermore I would handle the backend programming myself. He was offended by the course the conversation took, and said they did not want our business and hung up.
When a client calls a consulting company, they want to have confidence that there is some degree of competence on the part of the company prior to continuing. The communication we had with this company did not instill this confidence; in fact, it accomplished the opposite.
It is pretty alarming when basic concepts like client-​side vs server-​side programming elude a company that claims to know how to do web programming. Complex web programming involves more than just putting up pretty pictures or Flash apps on sites.
The fact that the owner of the company was so quick to blow off a prospective client with a rather large budget does not bode well for them. Potential investors and clients would do well to look past the flashy façade and evaluate the business model of this company. Dealing with a hot-​headed, overly-​sensitive owner who is happy to throw away business for the slightest communication mishap is not the best business model for future growth or longevity.
