Coding with Kids education programs are designed to advance students from the basics of computer programming to full mastery of computer science skills needed for the high school AP exam and beyond. Through our programs, we strive to inspire children to become inventors and creators and thus be successful in the STEM careers of tomorrow.

History

Established in 2013.

Coding with Kids was founded by Marek Brejl, PhD and Jitka Brejlova, MBA with a vision to teach the 21^st century skill of computer programming to kids.

Mr. Brejl’s background is in computer science, with his professional experience ranging from 3D medical image processing to managing programs at Microsoft.

Ms. Brejlova’s experience is in management of Education Services. She has worked for Pearson, one of the largest education companies in the world, where she established and managed a network of 200 centers in all US states.

Coding with Kids currently provides programs for kids and youth (5 – 15 years old) at 7 education centers and 50+ schools in the Seattle and Tacoma areas.

Business Owner

Marek Brejl, PhD (Founder)

Marek has spent over 15 years in the software industry — from pioneering automated 3D disease detections algorithms for radiology, to leading large multi-​national software development teams at Microsoft. Marek now leads Coding with Kids full-​time and is dedicated to building the best coding education program for children in the country. He has two elementary school age children who are becoming coders of their own. Marek is a climber and a hiker, and has travelled around the globe.
