I recently started work on a piece that Rad drew for me. And I have to say, being in this shop was the best tattoo experience I have had. Other shops tend to ignore customers, or you only interact with 1 artist. Both Rad, and the Owner, Jamie, made me feel like they personally knew me, and made me feel comfortable. I can’t wait to go back to finish my piece, and will definitely being going back for future tattoos as well!

I have three tattoos from an artist here named Rad and I absolutely love them all! This is a neat and quirky shop in an awesome area (just upstairs from Mud Bay on Broadway). I’ve only seen Rad for tattoos here so far, but I can’t wait to get a piece from the other two artists there. Great prices, great attitudes, and solid work.

Chrome Ohm is an awesome shop. One of the coolest and oldest tattoo shops in Seattle. I love the crew here with the sarcastic, but funny old school attitudes. I saw RAD for my Bowie tribute tattoo. He was amazing! Good price, great work, and he was fast and efficient. I will go back to Chrome Ohm for my next tattoo and will recommend and happily refer others to this shop.

Jaime is an awesome guy, easy to talk to, and his tattoos are amazing. He’s been tattooing for 30 years, he’s fast and gives a good price. Chrome Ohm’s where it’s at!

I came to Chrome Ohm for the first time in May 2013. Beetle did a sleeve of butterflies for me and I’ve been back for 5 more tattoos since then.
He is an amazing artist and is strait forward and to the point. He won’t hesitate in giving an honest experienced opinion on what will or won’t look good.
I can even tell how many times I’ve been stopped in the store for compliments on his work (I have 16 and none of the others get comments like this). I have referred everyone I meet to Beetle and will continue to do so!

Got a great tattoo from Jaime At Chrome Ohm. He was extremely nice and respectful, he did a great job on my tattoo. The establishment was clean and I had no issues. Jamie helped design the perfect tattoo and I’m extremely happy. I look forward to the next one

I came here with my boyfriend on a walk-​in and we were left in Jamie’s service. He is an extremely sarcastic and rude man. We should not have stayed because his tattoo skills are not good and he did not do the tattoo correctly. His shading is uneven and his lines are bad quality. They do not stay straight and look very odd when you take a step back. He needs circle stencils to create round shapes which he did for a cloud background… However he even messed those circles up and recovered it with shading!!! The tattoo was so bad my boyfriend went to get it covered up at another shop. Worst tattoo experience ever, both service and quality of art.

I have had a few tattoos done By Jaime. I like him. He is a straight shooter, and doesn’t eff around. No Nonesense. I dig it.

When I walked in, the owner Jaime Trujillo seemed nice, and I liked his portfolio. He drew up an image of an Octopus based on one that I had brought in. I actually wanted a new image loosely based on the one I had brought in, and I tried to tell him that multiple times, but he didn’t understand that and kept expressing that he didn’t want to go too far from the original drawing (like that would be not what I wanted). But we worked on the image a bit, and then made my appointment to sit for a tattoo (my first). In the meantime, I realized I had some significant reservations about the image. I wanted it to look a little more feminine, and someone pointed out to me that the head of the octopus looked a bit fallic (the original image I had brought in did too, which I hadn’t realized), so I definitely wanted to make some changes. I wasn’t sure if I was going to be ready to sit for the tattoo, so I called the office. I spoke with Jaime’s coworker Beetle, who was great and reassured me that the image looked great, and that things could be changed & a lot of the creative process happens during the tattooing itself. This was reassuring and I felt hopeful that I could ask for some changes to the image and maybe we could settle on an image & do the tattoo. I felt excited & hopeful about it.
When I came in to work with Jaime on the drawing & hopefully to receive a tattoo, he came in late, barely acknowledged me, seemed tense and avoided any communication, and then eventually testily asked «what do you want, lipstick and eyelashes on your octopus, or what? What do you want?» he demanded…“I’ve been doing this for many years, and people want something feminine…” He went on like that, seeming really angry and defensive, and not at all interested in having a conversation.
I told him I was leaving because the vibe was so negative with him, but offered to pay him for his consultation time. He said sarcastically «well, I don’t know what it’s worth to you.» Even though he was being a jerk, I gave him $ 60 before walking out to compensate him at least somewhat for his time. He didn’t give me the image he had drawn up and I didn’t ask for it because he was being so mean. I obviously don’t recommend seeing him – not for lack of artistic ability or experience, but for lack of communication skills.

Had my tattoo done here in december. I was pretty happy with it considering it was my first time.

CAUTION! Do NOT go to this tattoo shop unless you want to be ripped off. There is a reason this business has no one in any of the chairs getting tattooed. The artists there will will give you a great hourly rate only to take 3 times as long to get the work done. What could have taken an hour and a half from a descent artist somewhere else has taken 4 hours And Its Not even finished!!! That’s just bad business.
I will be telling everyone I know. You should too…

I got «Live simply so others may simply live» tattoed on my back. I knew the exactly how I wanted my tattoo to look but I wasn’t sure about the name of the font. I told the artist that I just wanted something very simple and pretty (emphasis on pretty). He free handed some stuff up and got my vision on the first try!
I have four tattoos now and I have never been happier with any tattoo. Ever. Its on my back so I can never see it, I took a picture of it and posted it up in my room so I could see it every day. I absolutely LOVE it!

I’ve been seeing Beetle for my black work for about 3 years now and he has never let me down. He always has a bad ass attitude and is always very helpful to get you what you need done. He has a very creative eye to make things work and does his best to get the best amount of work done for your money.
The shop is personal and it grows on you after a couple visits. I consider my time there not just to get work done but to hang out with a friend.
Everyone else is in the shop is awesome. They’re all like a family in a way.

Truly a (slightly) hidden gem and worth the search. I’ve gotten 2 tattoos from Beetle in the last couple years. One was meticulously planned, I found a couple source pictures and visited a week early to show him my ideas. He combined all my thoughts into a single coherent piece, adding elements I hadn’t even thought of, and creating a work of art that covers my upper back and gets constant compliments. Then I went back on an impulse as a walk-​in client and he was super nice and managed to take time for me. I had the piece I wanted all picked out but he still drew it up better than the original and made a personalized, highly detailed piece that I am very proud of. The lesson is, whether planned or impulsive, you can trust Beetle to take care of you and make sure you don’t end up with something you’ll regret. He’s also funny and insightful and not a drag to talk to for four hours.

After not getting a tattoo for 6 years, I splurge at the moment went and got one. My friend suggested that I go to Chrome Ohm b/​c she said they do a great job and the prices are reasonable. To my surprise she was right! I went and saw Beetle who my friend reccommended. He did an awesome job on my lotus flower. He was quick and a really cool dude. It looked the way I imagined it. Funny thing, I went to school with Beetle! He was an artsy fartsy guy in school so it shows how much talent this guy has! Go to Chrome Ohm for you tattoo peeps. So worth it!

Thanks Chrome Ohm for making me addicted to tattoos. You are the golden jewel for tattoo parlors on Capital Hill. Not bias or anything.
I can’t even remember how I found this place, probably from wandering Broadway so many times. I’ve had 3 tats done here 2 by Beetle and I’d go back in a heartbeat for him to do another or fix one. The place is low key, comfortable and not intimidating or dirty. Plus Beetle has good tunes on his ipod. If you don’t know what you’re going to get there’s a crapload of books and pictures on the walls. What’s great about this place is that as soon as you sit down the guys talk to you openly and make you feel good about getting their work on your body. Beetle is faster than you can say premature and painless (well painless really depends on where you get the tattoo). My spine tattoo hurt like a mother effer so they cracked jokes and told me random stories so I’d stop thinking about the pain, then told me to «meditate and all that other shit» if that didn’t work. Stop by for a memorable tattoo experience.

I was looking for a tattoo establichment that was not only going to be good and efficiaent but make me feel very comfortable.
After looking at a couple different options my best freind said a coworker had come here and gotten his tat. We walked in on a friday about 9pm. Beetle was there and was very helpful with trying to find the perfect designs for my 2^nd and 3^rd tatoo (right wrist biohazard symbol/​left wrist radioactive symbol).
Not only was it more than affordable but the artwork is amazing. Beetle def gets my vote for tattoo artist of the year not only for feeling comfottable but also for the great work.

I just went there this weekend. I have one tattoo done by Jamie, and the other two by Beetle. I like the place and trust the artists. I would give 5 stars but they rarely answer the phone LOL

This was only my third tattoo, so I may not be too knowledgeable in the art of tattoo design, but I think Beetle, at Chrome Ohm, is an awesome artist! I walked in there without a design, but had a general idea for the design for quite some time. When I explained the tattoo to Beetle, he was able to draw it out for me right there on the spot. Granted it wasn’t very complex, nor was it very large, but I felt that he truly captured what I envisioned. I placed the tattoo on my right shoulder so parts of it hurt, but overall Beetle was very conscientious to check my comfort level at various stages in the process. The coolest part was I decided to get a tattoo on a Saturday night around 8 PM, on a whim, and he was able to take me as walk-​in. Awesome!
Update: I went back to get my second tattoo by Beetle and it turned out so amazingly well! I couldn’t be happier about it. :D
