This place is the best. We were sent by our home vet due to our dog eating a poisoned rat. They were ready for us when we got there and I just cant say enough nice things. A special shout out to Dr. Naramour and her crew. They worked tirelessly on our dog and today she is home like nothing happened. If your pet is ill take them here. They are open ²⁴⁄₇ and you wont find a more kind, caring group of people.

My dog was just at Blue Pearl for the past three days and the total bill ended up being $ 5000. Did she have some complications? yes. Did she need help and medication? yes. Did I have some issues with Blue Pearl– Seattle? yes.

All very friendly women who were smiling, answering the phone with a friendly hello and all in all very welcoming and cheerful
Doctors:
Mostly very well learned about the issues we were having with our doggy, although there were some that seemed to know more than others, but once we figured that out it was easy to learn about who to chat with and get answers from.
Josh:
Rude. Desensitized. Demeaning. The last title in the world this person should have is «Client Liasion,» yet that is his title at Blue Pearl. He doesn’t care about the clients, he needs training on customer service, and he doesn’t do what he says he will do. Our bill was $ 5000 and I asked him politely to offer some sort of discount because we couldn’t afford it (there is a line on the print out that says «discount» so why not ask, especially when this bill will force us to eat PB and J for a few months). With attitude he says «I don’t understand why… just because of the cost?» I said «exactly Josh.» He then rambled off some disgrunteled BS and said he would talk to the doctor (or whoever he needed to talk to) which he didn’t do because when I got there no one mentioned anything to me and the bill was even higher than he told me it would be. Josh, if your salary at Blue Pearl allows you to frivolously spend $ 5000 then you should keep that job as long as you can. He literally sounded like I was asking him for a discount on a pack of gum in the grocery store. His tone, attitude, lack of care, and demeanor are opposite of what I would want any of my staff to speak to any of our customers about. I literally wouldn’t go back to this place because of this one bad egg on the team who calls himself the client liaison and doesn’t know how to do his job. My one minute conversation trumped all the other positive interactions I had with the care of my pet by the doctors, and other staff.
I say check out another place, talk to a few people and see how you’re treated before you take your pet to a place where you’ll swipe your credit card for $ 5000 and then run into a Josh.

I really cannot express the extent of my satisfaction with the service BluePearl has provided my wife and I and of course our pets. Their attention to detail and customer service are superb. We receive follow up calls every time we use their services. Unbelievable!

I was reminded it’s been a year since our dog’s emergency gall bladder removal. Our dog is still in good health, great spirits. We owe her life to Dr. Spina and the professionals at BluePearl Veterinary Clinic. They got her in quickly, gave her an ultrasound, offered us our options and performed the emergency surgery and care. The vet even called us personally after we took our dog home and continued to check on her weeks after her surgery. For peace of mind for your furry friend, I wholeheartedly recommend BluePearl.

I wasn’t prepared to loose my furry four legged child. It was the most painful event that was so unbearable. I brought my Golden Retriever Sammy to BluePeal for an ultrasound. I think in my heart I knew he was leaving us but I didn’t want to let go. The front desk ladies were so sweet and helpful! They immediately checked me in and a technician came over to me. Sammy’s ER doctor, Dr. Ada Naramor came out and sat with me and went over options and her findings. I can’t tell you how wonderful and amazing Dr. Naramor is! I felt like she was family. She really put herself in my shoes and let me know what she would do if it was her own baby! Her sympathy was overwhelmingly sincere and genuine. Being in the medical field myself I could tell how knowledgeable and intelligent this woman is! I knew Sammy was in the best hands! When I brought Sammy in he was already passing. Pale, low blood pressure, weak. I had to make a decision to do emergency surgery and chemo or let him go. Because of his state the likelihood of him passing in surgery was a reality and even with chemo the prognosis wasn’t great only giving 3 – 6 months. I made the decision to let him go because I didn’t want him to suffer. His passing was hard enough but to say goodby in a place he doesn’t much care for was to much to handle! I has family that needed to say goodby and to be faced with goodbyes in a hospital was to much! They gave me a list of vets that come to you. I called and in the meantime had a full out emotional breakdown. My beautiful angel vet came and told me when she gets off if work she could come to me. If someone was looking out for me ever it was at this moment! My guardian angels sent this amazing caring soul to me and she did something for me that meant the world to my family! I could never repay her for what she did! I live this woman and I wish I could do something anything for her. She came a distance on her own time without anything in return. She drove her car and brought the kindest assistant to help her. She brought everything she would need. Sammy was laid to rest in his favorite patch if grass, I front of the puget sound, on a bed of roses, surrounded by all the people who loved him most! To say goodby under the open sky at sunset with the sound of the birds and the wind was more than I could ask for! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Very pushy staff. l took my sick cat down late at night. They wanted to do $ 6,000 worth of tests and treatment. I was very straight forward that I did not have that kind of money. Woman was still extremely pushy. l felt like I was being taken advantage of. I had to very firmly dictate what I needed done. I know emergency places charge extreme ammounts for their service, but this was a disappointing experience due to the sheer pushiness.

I took my cat here one early morning because something wasn’t right. Sadly she did not make it there. She passed away just before i arrived, they tried CPR, nothing, she was gone. The staff there treated me like they knew my cat her whole life, and like they were my friends. This was my first time ever there! They were very caring and let me take all the time i needed to pull it back together. I would go back here again if needed because i felt so welcome! Thanks!

My dog was recently diagnosed with a type of oral cancer that is usually curative with surgery. In my dog’s case, this meant removing part of the jaw. I was so worried about my dog, and the surgery, and the cosmetic aspects of a surgery — that removed part of his jaw. But, DR. SPINA at Blue Pearl did an AMAZING JOB. Not only did Dr. Spina remove all of the cancer, he also did a fabulous job with the cosmetic aspect the surgery. My dog looks amazing and is eating and drinking without complication.
Dr. Spina and the oncologist Dr. Herrera both also have great bedside manor. They answered all of my questions (no matter how anxious I was or strange the question) and consulted with each other about my dog’s case, which is even rare for human doctors to do! The staff at Blue Pearl was also great. When I picked my dog up from a scan he actually whined for a tech after she left the room, he apparently had bonded with her earlier in the day. It felt so good to know he was well-​cared for when I couldn’t be with him.
After having been through this type of surgery with a pet, I know how hard it is to make a decision. So, I hope that if you are in this situation and reading this that you are comforted to know how grateful I am that Dr. Spina was able to do my dog’s surgery and how great everyone at Blue Pearl was with my dog! Thanks so much to Dr. Spina, Dr. Herrera, and the Blue Pearl team!

Dr. Hann and her team saved my kitty. Hands down. I am SO thankful for BluePearl on Lake City Way. Here’s why:
1) Great clinical knowledge. Dr. Hann and team were great about explaining my cat’s condition (she had out of control diabetes and had gone ketoacidodic in addition to kidney issues and severe dehydration); they really delved in the ‘why’ and the ‘how’ of what was happening. They thoroughly answered our questions and gave us detailed differentials. They were very straightforward with us, and gave a very balanced analysis of a very serious situation.
2) Great communication/​coordination. Our kitty had to be hospitalized, and we received calls twice a day about her condition. We even got her discharge summary via email, which was GREAT. They were wonderful with answering questions over the phone, and I really felt like we were kept in the loop.
3) Great customer service. Our questions were always answered accurately and promptly. Our needs were really taken into account as we planned the care of our cat. They were great at being up front about costs and why things were being done. No charge was a surprise at all. They were also so very kind to me when I was weepy and worried. They were kind when I cried because my cat was doing so poorly, and they were kind when I cried because my cat was doing so well after their care. Her diabetes has been regulated, her kidney function is greatly improved, my cat is acting like herself again, and while recovery will be a long road and we are dealing with a chronic condition, I’m watching my cat groom herself right now thanks to these wonderful people.
A note on cost– our now former primary vet (we selected a new one) wanted to charge $ 800-​$ 600 for an abdominal ultrasound. Our cat needed it, but BluePearl charged HALF as much. They also were great about facilitating items that could be done at home rather than having to charge us for additional services and stays that were unnecessary.
I will be going straight to BluePearl for any complicating or emergency pet situations (or even second opinons). They were GREAT, and my dear kitty is alive today because of them.

Don’t hesitate – take your pet to Blue Pearl! As we got in the car after leaving our cat overnight for treatment, I said in amazement to my partner, «I actually feel great about leaving him here.» This was our first visit and our expectations were blown away. We called ahead and they were expecting us. The facility is clean and beautiful, the front desk friendly and quick to check us in. The intake nurse showed us to a private exam room right away, listened to our issue and told us we would have to wait about a half hour for the vet, then came back to give us an update. The vet (Dr. Finley) was patient, kind, clear, informative – explained our different options and after examining our cat gave us a low/​high cost estimate. Surprisingly reasonable, no more than our usual vet. We just had To pay the low estimate in advance. They took great care of him and the next morning the next vet actually called to ask if she could do one more little thing that would make him feel better. When we came to pick him up, we only had to pay another $ 28 (on top of their low-​end estimate). But the excellent care and great communication with us were worth far more than we paid. Very grateful.

Our son’s 3 ear old miniature dachshund swallowed a fabric bow tie that he managed to detach from a stuffed duck dog toy. Fortunately we saw it just as the last of it went in but couldn’t grab it before it went down. Attempts to make him vomit failed (later found out sticking your finger down it’s throat is NOT a good idea). We knew it could cause a severe blockage and, since it was 9:00pm, looked for emergency vet clinics. The Blue Pearl people in Lake City told us to bring him right in, which we did. The facility is clean and beautiful and the staff couldn’t have been more professional and kind. We were taken right in to an examining room and only had to wait a couple of minutes for the vet, Dr. Wassink. I was envisioning x-​rays and possible surgery and an astronomical bill. Instead, they gave Dodo something intravenously that caused him to vomit up the offending bow tie and we were on our way within half an hour. The fee was extremely reasonable and we cannot say enough about how great the staff is there. They followed up with a phone call to make sure he was doing ok. I am so happy to know we have a facility like this when we need it.

took a cat in for a broken leg a while back. they didn’t even perform any surgery. just shunted and wrapped it up. gave me a few painkillers for my cat. the trip cost me over $ 600. was disappointed to find out much later that it was wayyyyy too expensive for what they did for my cat.

We have a labradoodle that was experiencing stomach issues that continued after treatment from our local vet. She was pretty sick and vomiting blood. We were really worried about her at this point, but the staff here made us comfortable with their treatment recommendations. It turned out she had two parasites, likely from the dog park, and they suggested we leave her overnight to receive an IV with fluids and meds.
The entire staff was friendly to both us and our dog, and I never worried about them mistreating or over prescribing like some of the reviews suggest (granted we didn’t see Dr Haan). They were focused on getting her back to health as quickly as possible, and provided us options without forcing us to do something we weren’t comfortable doing. She’s back to feeling better already (5 days later), and that’s what’s most important to us. She had a day or two of being lethargic but I attribute that to just recovering from being sick.

So grateful for Blue Pearl. I am a brand new cat mom and my poor kitty got an upper respiratory infection that led to a 105.5 temp. I was terrified. They helped calm her and me down, gave medication with instructions, and gave me all my options without trying to push for the most costly procedure. They were helpful over the phone and even let me come back for free to deliver sub Q fluids (I had the solution) and demonstrate how I can do it myself if need be. This helped my first sick cat process go smoothly and allowed me to not freak out.

I hope you don’t, but if your animal friends ever need a vet, please take them to this one. These people were amazing. Our bunny, Tootsie Roll was very ill and we brought her here at about 830pm on a Sunday night. Parking was plentiful. The facility was very clean and comfortable. The people at the front desk were very kind and were very worried about our bunny as if she were their own. The vet was kind and honest with us and gave us all our options and told us what she thought would be best for Tootsie Roll and was supportive and reassured us that we were making the right decision when we decided to let our poor suffering bunny go. They gave us time alone with her and didn’t rush us. They also made us a paw print of our bunny’s paw. And a few days later we received a card in the mail from them with their condolences for our loss. This is a vet that goes above and beyond and I am so grateful to them and will absolutely go back if I am ever in need of vet services. Thank you for your kindness BluePearl Vet services.

We could not have had a better experience with an emergency visit. The staff from the reception area, triage nurses, Dr Fiddler, and Leanne. I am sorry I did not name you all personally, you are wonderful. Felt good the minute we made the first phone call. Walked in, helped right away, little wait for the Dr (it is walk in and emergency room, to be expected), got answers right away. Had to leave our dog overnight, they are fully staffed, can call anytime to check on your pet. So helpful and calming. Had to call again the next day, and still could not have been more helpful and patient with me and my questions. It does cost a bit, but so does any emergency visit. To see our pet so calm with them it was worth every cent. I could not thank them enough for the excellent care.

I took my very sick, old dog here recently. Dr Wassink was amazing in her sensitive, yet realistic approach to help me make a very tough decision. The language she used was perfect. I needed a non judgmental, tender, and realistic point of view, and Dr Wassink was right on with that. While the outcome was not what I hoped for, I left knowing I’d made the best decision for my pup.

I was dog-​sitting and the little guy helped himself into a stash of chocolate Tim Tam cookies. MY WORST NIGHTMARE! I knew I needed to get him to a vet quickly and the first place I called quoted $ 500 to get him to vomit it up. Seriously? BluePearl to the rescue! They were courteous, clearly explained all the treatment options, and came in at less than a third of the price of the other guys. Most importantly, I get to return a happy, healthy dog to his family. Crisis averted and kudos to you.

I just saw the comment left by Virginia P. I was in contact with them consistently past the time she wrote that comment. Not once did they explain why they failed to check the blood tests or apologize for it. Not once did they offer to refund the money spent on the blood test they never checked or on the unnecessary surgery they talked us into the following day.

I am very disappointed in Blue Pearl and fill we were taken advantage of. I took my dog in to the clinic with a swollen mussel and was told it might be cancer. After that being said, I was in a total panic and they suggested going in and taking some biopsies and a nose scan. So close to $ 3000.00 later, and 5 weeks of heavy prednisone, her mussel started swelling again.
When the swelling started up again I did some research to find a new vet, I came across Leins Animal Clinic in West Seattle, after sitting with the vet for 5 minutes he found the problem was, both of her K-9’s were infected and need to be pulled and that would solve the problem.
Be careful with Blue Pearl, do not make decisions based on emotions. Just like people, you should always get a second opinion before spending a lot of money and putting your animal through heavy doses of drugs they do not need.

Dr Hann is completely unethical and needs a fatal punch in the face. We brought our dog in and left him overnight due to their recommendation. They performed 20 different procedures and injected him with three different types of medicine in less than 24 hours. When we picked him up the next day he had liver and kidney failure and could barely stand up right. He walked out a different dog! We believe they incompetently killed him! We decided to take him home because we felt he looked extremely sicker than when he came in. After all this, Hann was still trying to sell us more procedures!
We sought a second opinion from another doctor and he said they performed too many procedures without knowing what was wrong with my dog in the first place. He also said that the injection of too many medicine in 24 hours most likely caused his liver and kidney failure!
Beware! Do not leave your dog with them! They will lock your dog in a cage! If Hann tries to do this again please punch her in the face for me.

Here’s a tip:
When you need to tell someone their loved one has cancer and there’s no reason to be optimistic:
1) Don’t leave this news in a voice mail
2) Pronounce the loved one’s name correctly
Other things that happened during this process:
* Clinic called and left me a voice mail telling me that my cat would be OK to pick up after 3pm. While I was in the lobby.
* Returned after 3pm as asked and waited 30 minutes for anyone in reception to even admit that I had a cat that could be picked up. Then waited another 30 minutes for them to bring him out.
* «What’s your cat here for?» The receptionist asked at one point. Oh. Is… is that not in the computer you’re looking at? Do I need to forward you his case history that you sent me so you can attach it to the right animal?
* Every. Single. Person. in the clinic pronounced his name wrong. It’s not a hard name: Rimbaud. (Rim-​bow). Not Rimbod. Not Rimbah. Not Rim: muffled second syllable:. If an owner corrects you once, note it on the chart. Not that looking at a chart seems to be commonplace, since:
* Once, someone who’d just given him a sonogram and a biopsy referred to him as a «she».
I have never felt so abjectly anonymized by a veterinary facility. I guess it’s good that on the second try, they were able to get samples from the mass. I’m going to have my actual vet coordinate with them in the future. I won’t be going back to them for any reason, even if I have to take a day trip to another veterinary oncologist.
Some positives (which keeps the above from being a 1 star):
+ When some chips got stuck in the vending machine, the woman at receiption gave me a refund *and* got the chips out.
+ They’re very friendly with the animals (even if they don’t know their name or sex)

The only vet I’ve found in the entire peninsula open 24 hours and one of only 2 open Sunday’s… All the others are closed closed. They mustn’t realize our pets are not always on bankers hours;

I’ve been bringing my kitty here for several weeks for chemo with Dr. Herrera. He is doing so much better, and I love her approach and all the staff here. It is a great facility, and I know my kitty is in good hands.

Lyndsey S. the technician that took us to the exam room was terrific. She was really warm, friendly and talked to my dog in a sweet manner. This really put us at ease and made us feel like we made a good decision in choosing ACCES-​Blue Pearl. We saw Dr. Backlund, from Internal Medicine which also did a terrific job in explaining my dogs medical diagnosis and treatment options. My husband and I never felt pressured to give consent for any unnecessary medical exams, only for what was appropriate for him.

It really does not surprise me that this place has a 4 ½ star review.
My dog has had seizures for over a decade, so I know the drill. They are pretty much under control, but every now and then she has break through seizures which require emergency room services. This was one of those times. Yet, something was completely different about this time. Not the «normal» I had seen before.
So, off to the emergency room we go.
I have nothing but applauds for this place.
The veterinarian that checked us in (Dr Anna Moore) was comforting, would explain things and did everything in her ability to help my dog. I immediately felt at ease leaving my dog in her care (not an easy thing for me at times).
The next morning, I called in for an update on my dog. I was introduced over the phone to Dr. Mary Ellen Finley. She gave me an update and recommended we have Bella checked out by a neurologist. She gave me options of three places. One place, had changed over the years in service and the neurologist had changed. I didn’t trust them anymore. The second and third place, I had never gone to. She immediately called the second place since it was closer and got a time range that the neurologist could see my dog and possibly have a MRI. After mishaps which resulted in me not being able to see the neurologist (I won’t sour this review with the details), she mentioned the third place. Luckily, the third place was able to get me in, see the neurologist and have a MRI completed.
Everything that Dr. Finley did for the best possible care for my dog was above and beyond. I am very much appreciative.
I am so glad she recommended going to a neurologist. I found out that my dog was not, in fact, having an epileptic (seizure) episode. She had a stroke (I knew something was different, I just believed her seizure activity was changing). We didn’t have to change or add medications (which the first neurologist, which I didn’t trust, had suggested over the phone to Dr. Finley).
The entire staff that I had interactions with, from front desk to vet techs, were nothing but kind and compassionate.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. Words can not express how appreciative of the care and compassion the staff showed.
Being in the medical field myself, on the human side, I completely appreciate that both veterinarians my dog saw knew their limitations in being able to diagnose (due to not having a MRI at this Emergency clinic) and treat (neurology not being their specialty). Built trust IMMEDIATELY.
Oh for those who think places like these always over charge. I was refunded money off of my low estimate.

If your fur baby has an emergency I highly recommend this place. They will take care of them!
My little kitty is alive because of the veterinarians at this place! It’s been just over a month since we first went here and I am so happy we did. They are quick, efficient and will give your fur baby the best medical care possible!
My kitty has had two surgeries, multiple blood transfusions, and many nights stay here in the last month! They have been great, giving me all the options and working with us to make the right decisions for our little kitty, who is 9.5 months old. He is doing well today, and thanks to the doctors at Acces he will get the chance to live his sweet little life.
The facility is located on lake city, not where I would have expected it. The lobby and rooms are a tad bare, but they have free coffee and tea, along with a vending machine in the waiting room. The receptionists are professional and friendly, along with the vet techs! They are also good about being upfront with costs! Although I highly recommend pet insurance, if you don’t already have a policy!
In the past I have also had to make the terrible choice to put another cat down here, so I know what it feels like to walk out the door without your animal too, and I am still confident they gave both of my pets the best care around!

Been here a couple times when our dog’s had issues in the middle of the night and we wanted to see a vet. Excellent service, fair prices, and friendly vets. Not sure what else you can ask for in an emergency animal clinic.

We love ACCES. We have utilized their services twice, once for our old man pup and once for our cat. Both were experiencing non-​life threatening but very concerning issues and our vet, who was unable to see us the same day, recommended taking them to ACCES.
Dr. David Gill attended both times and was very thorough. We felt that he did an excellent job communicating the problems and solutions (and gasp!) actually seemed to care. Both our pets left in much better spirits than they arrived. It can be scary to bring your hurting animal to people you don’t know, but I would recommend these folks to anyone.
Pros:
— In both instances on busy Saturdays we were seen relatively quickly
— Technicians and front desk staff were great
— The afore-​mentioned Dr. Gill
— Prices seem reasonable for emergency care*
— Good coffee and reasonably comfy chairs while you wait
Cons:
— All of the adorable animals in the waiting room which insist on being petted and cooed over.
*A feline patient visit fee is $ 104. Our cat’s bill, including medication and test workups was totaled at around $ 275. Of course, prices fluctuate and it’s dependent on the pet/​circumstances.

I cannot be thankful enough for the people at ACCES.
My cat Pocket started having seizures at midnight and we rushed her to ACCES (after we did an insanely quick search on Unilocal for something open and with good reviews) and were helped by some of the most kind, and informative people. They kept in constant contact with us on her status and next steps. Once we got our cat home and found a vet, they faxed everything over for us in minutes.
I honestly don’t think my cat would still be alive without the love and expertise of the Vets at ACCES. There were three doctors that watched over my cat for the 2 ½ days she was there and they were all sensitive to the situation and my reaction. I may have asked them the same things a few different times but they all understood that I was on an emotional roller coaster.
If your animal is in need, do not hesitate to take your animal to ACCES.

Had to come here as our little Beagle was experiencing some pain and our normal vet was closed. All in all it was a long experience, but considering the circumstances this is expected.
The vet technician and the vet doctor were both very friendly and ensured our dog was comfortable during the waiting period. There are free coffee machines in the waiting room and some vending machines in the event you are there for several hours (as we were).
Our dog left healthy and intact with some pain medications, and the bill wasn’t as high as I thought it would have been. The claim process with out Pet insurance (Trupanion) was seamless as well, which was a big plus.
Have no hesitations if your little furry family member is in need of help!
