This place has gone way downhill over the last 4 – 5 years. There’s very little fresh fish in anything they make anymore, and the prices have increased. Even the sushi rice was stale. Their demo seems to be people from out of town, or who haven’t had good sushi before. Do yourself a favor and look up any place that has at least 3.5 stars on Unilocal and go there instead.

Great spot for conveyor belt sushi, price is reasonable for the area though not cheap. Last time was there had server Michael who was great, and don’t forget to try their tempura brownie with ice cream!

Very cool set up with the sushi belt. Salmon roll and avocado roll were good but the Philadelphia roll wasn’t particularly fresh. Might try again out of convenience but won’t go out of my way to come back.

The new manager(Jana) is amazing! I’ve never been to Blue C Sushi before, but her customer service skills will keep me coming back. The bartender was also awesome! Great experience!

We tried this place on New Year’s Eve and loved it. It was some of the best quality sushi I’ve had in Seattle. The place is fun, the conveyor comes around and you just grab the plate that you want as it comes by your table. The plates are color coded for pricing. We went during Happy Hour, so the prices were great. We spent about $ 50 including tip for the two of us.

Oh Blue C, how I used to love you. Your recent happy hour changes were the worst thing you could have done for your customer base. We came across Blue C Sushi as one of many places to try for our happy hour dinner club. The food, service and prices were amazing, so the group continued to return here until we abandoned trying other restaurants. Our standing monthly dinner club became Blue C for about a year. It was great because the bartender got to know us and we loved everything about our visits. That was until we arrived late one month due to meetings at work. We found out the awesome happy hours of 4 – 7 were suddenly moved to 3 – 6(really? Who eats dinner at 3?). This was one of two major problems to their changes. Happy hour used to get pretty packed, and often you couldn’t find bar seating if you showed up after 5:30. Not anymore. The past two trips has shown the unfortunate results of poor customer decisions. We gave it another shot this week, arriving by 5:30(every single table in the bar was empty). Knowing the happy hour had changed we specifically asked the guy who brought us drinks(manager? Host? Not a server or bartender) if the menu was the same. He said yes, it’s the items on the belt. If you’ve been here then you know you can’t actually see the belt items in the bar. #fail We ordered our standard items(crispy chicken!, cucumber salad, spicy edamame, vegetable tempura, and a few sushi rolls). When the bill came we found out the happy hour menu DID change and some of our favorite items were no longer on it(crispy chicken among others). Congratulations on losing long time customers with poorly communicated changes to what was a really great happy hour. Update your menus already and don’t say yes if the answer is ‘I don’t know’ or ‘No’. The service is generally great here though — huge thank you to the lady who helped us with our bill after being surprised. You were the big heroine of the evening.

Ok. for a ‘chain’ conveyor belt sushi place. This downtown location beats out the Bellevue one for quality of food. Nice service, quick to be seated and fairly ‘good’ sushi and variety. The fried calamari was absolutely delish and my fellow dinning companion said the Katsu Chicken bowl was really good. All in all, fair food/fair price… not top notched quality sushi, but ok and conveniently located.

I’ve always loved sushi. Sushi is such a healthy choice of food. What makes blue C sushi stand out for this location is that it’s very bright and welcoming. There food variety is great. Lost of options to choice from. You alway get to see your food before you chow down as well. Not only is it an conveyer belt but you can also order from a tablet. Overall this place is amazing. I definitely recommend getting the King Kong Crêpe. Very delicious!

As others have written, this is sushi on a conveyor, not a sushi bar. I felt the items offered were a bit more creative than other belt places, for example cajun spiced seared tuna, deserts, a noodle dish, a salad. Staff was attentive, atmoshpere is modern.

We made their happy hour, which was awesome! All plates regardless of color was $ 3(unless you get the lower price plates then they adjust to match that). The place felt hip, clean, and the service was wonderful. Fish quality was fresh, the special rolls were delicious. The only complaint I would have is parking is rough, and the parking lot closest to it was $ 7 for an hour. In addition, most of the special rolls was catered towards western diners, and it had cream cheese and jalepenos slathered in sauce in 4 – 5 of their rolls. Overall not bad, but still looking for my amazing rotary place.

We went there expecting the Japanese Automat experience. All of the ¾ of the equipment was broken. — The on table menu didn’t work(this is home to technology!). — The call button for the waiter didn’t work. — The custom delivery train didn’t work. — The raw sushi on the belt stayed there the entire time we were there 1+ hour — Not being white and young ensured wait staff ignored us.

Around and around she goes. Where she stops. Nobody knows. Conveyor belt sushi spots are rather common in Seattle, and this Blue C location in the heart of downtown, makes for an easy stop, if staying at any of the nearby hotels. THESUSHI: It’s clearly not the best, and I’m not so sure that’s what they’re aiming for. It’s cheap, easy, family-friendly, colourful and of relatively good quality. Obviously, don’t expect Jiro. TOPPICKS: Try the Seattle or Pacific rolls. I like the udon with seaweed and tempura. Salmon roe and seaweed are amongst my favorite edible textures and they offer it up in abundance here. SERVICE: Kind, funny and friendly; accommodating hosts/hostesses. Sushi chefs are a toss-up, some are efficient and talented, but they often seem to employ apathetic food preparers that leave items meant cold to end up mushy and melty and some hot items are ice cold — this may have to do with the small tea lights that are keeping things warm as they spin around the room. I witnessed some sweet babies playfully blow them out like they were birthday candles! PRICING: Enter, sit, wait for your choice around the belt; use the button near your table to call for direct service and requests. If you don’t see what you want, and it’s on the menu, you can have them make it in the kitchen for you. Miso is 2.50 $, Udon Noodle Soup is 5.50 $, ”Green Plates” are 2.00 $, ”Silver Plates” are 2.50 $, ”Yellow Plates” are 3.25 $, ”Orange Plates” are 4.00 $, ”Dark Blue Plates” are 5.00 $. They’ll count up your plate color prices and you can pay at your table. PARTINGNOTE: There are Japanese culture and art films playing on huge screens above the conveyor belt and seating. Theme is the trendy and vibrant bustling streets of downtown Tokyo. Great spot for groups, too! Get the Ramune!

I sat at the bar for happy hour(everyday 4 – 7& Thurs/Sun 4-close). $ 3 draft Sopporo and a few $ 3 sushi rolls… Not a bad deal. Cassie was my server, very nice and attentive. Conveyer belt style for main seating. People complain about their pricing, seems in line with area. Overall good experience for me.

Stopped in after the movies for a bite to eat. Service was just okay, had to try and get the attention of the server on a couple of occasions for soy sauce, and a wasabi refill. The sushi is on a conveyor belt, but you can order some specialized rolls too. Sushi was edible, but nothing to write home about. the sashimi wasn’t the best quality, after all this is part of a food chain and cost less than most good sushi restaurants. For two of us, our bill was just under $ 30.00(includes tax and tip) we ordered 2 special rolls –pretty tasty and a couple of other rolls off the belt. Also order a chicken katsu bowl, which was rather small, lucky if we got 3 regular sized bites. All and all, I might go back again for a snack, but it isn’t a place I would get excited about. The restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was casual and comfortable.

I’ve been to the Newport Beach location and Seattle. Both were clean and ambience is good as well. Service is friendly with a smile. Sushi is very good for a chain restaurant and they do make special orders if you ask. Great place for dinner with my kids and not very expensive. They charge by each item which is in a color plate.

Great experience! I would suggest Sushi Maru over this place! Their prices are better and their sushi is better. Regardless, if you don’t have time to go to Sushi Maru, this is good too :) Great experience. I would go again but the price ADDs up so I don’t go often. My Personal Restaurant Rating Key One star: the food was bad and I had a negative experience. Two star: I had a more negative experience and would not come here again but the food was good so I may. Three store: Everything is good except one thing. Example-the food is good, the price is more reasonable but the atmosphere is lacking class. Or the food is good, the atmosphere is good, but they over charged us. These three stars are actually my favorite types of restaurants to go eat at if the reason is due to the atmosphere because they are usually delicious and reasonably priced. Four stars: Everything is great, food and experience. However the price is definitely on the upper end. I would not recommend this first to Obama unless he didn’t like my five stars. These are restaurants you can take your boss or your mother-in-laws to impress them, however they still don’t fit into the five star category. A bit fancier than my three stars, hence I don’t often eat here unless there is an occasion for it or there is a groupon that gives me a bit of a discount! Five stars: I would recommend this to Obama. The price may be on the upper end but the experience and the taste is so exquisite, it is actually worth every nickel and dime.

FOOD: The food itself is standard as far as Blue C Sushi restaurants go. Everything was not the highest grade stuff but at no point are you fearing for your life(I’m looking at you there Sushiland). They had a good selection of rolls, nigiri sushi, sashimi and even some kitchen-prepared stuff like mini-rice bowls. There’s also cold noodles, mochi and even brownies. It’s not my favorite food but I knew what I was getting coming to Blue C. I was hungry and it was raining and I wasn’t going into a steaming bus just yet. SERVICE: Not only did I not realize that they did have happy hour on Friday AFTER we were done with the meal(we were given no such menu), I had to watch their sushi maker guy basically have a meltdown. That’s actually fine. I’ve worked in food service before and know that people have bad days. He had a pick up order that was falling late and whoever was waiting for it, of course, kept checking up on ETA. What was a shame to me, however, was the lack of help this guy got from his coworkers. I had never seen such passive servers/restaurant workers in my life. They didn’t do a gosh darn thing. They just stood there. Okay, not even THERE. They just stood around not even helping customers. They could have helped him package the sushi at the very least if they couldn’t help make the sushi. Or anything. Anything at all. Maybe they could have taken care of the customer who was clearly frustrated. Disorganized, too. We were asked a couple of times by different people if we had ordered drinks. Then we didn’t get checked on after that. I get the purpose of the blue light but the lack of mindfulness by the stuff was hugely off putting. Overall, I don’t think I’ll be returning. There are so many other places downtown with better food and wayyy better service.

My recollection of Blue C Sushi from the times I had gone long ago was that it wasn’t the best sushi on earth, but a good portion of it certainly didn’t suck. I needed a quick meal before catching a movie at the Regal Meridian last night, so I came in here expecting a decent experience. Well, $ 75 later, I was wishing I’d skipped out on all that for a huge tub of popcorn and some candy at the movies instead. The restaurant was nearly empty when I came. The same plates must’ve been going around and around for a long time because the nori on all the rolls I got was already slightly soggy. I happened to grab a few purple plates of fusion rolls — those are the most expensive at $ 5.50/plate — and those were the ones I disliked the most. For instance, there was this one called«Pacific Roll» or something like that — and it had coconut shrimp in it, which I missed when I was grabbing the plate from the conveyor belt. My mistake. HORRIBLE. I could end up with barely decent sushi on my plate and still eat tons of it because I like sushi a lot, but with this, one bite was more than enough. The other ones I got were more tolerable but not enough to make me regret this entire experience less. Servers were pleasant, but I had to try really hard to get someone’s attention for a glass of wine. I waved at someone about 4 times before someone actually saw I needed assistance. And it was virtually empty! At least the wine was not bad. I liked the cool, modern décor, though. The light fixtures are awesome! And I liked the loungey music they had playing.

Sooooo this often happens when I get off work & suppose to be heading home. I often just pick a detour. This evening I landed in Blue C Sushi! Ill be damn I caught happy hour. I went with a Sapporo beer *loooong day at work, shrimp tempura X2& a pacific roll. All happy hour items were $ 3.can we say wining??? Even though the Pacific wasnt on happy hour. @ $ 5.50 thats STILL wining! I wanted to give a special s/0 to Bartender Daniel, Vee, & Karen! Daniel’s customer service was awesome, warm, & inviting. He made me laugh, Very attentive & overall made sitting in bar area enjoyable. *go Seahawks* lol Vee he didnt mind answering every question as to what’s in what roll. He was patient with me & did it with a great smile! Karen actually let me stop her in route to ask a few questions as well. I said«sorry to bother you.» Karen: «oh no you aren’t bothering me. you are fine.» .off she went to find answers for me Thanks for the kick ass service & an awesome individuals working at this Blue C location
