Shawn & Scott were right on time, professional, hard working and thorough. Having had the ducts cleaned twice before by other firms, these guys, in comparison, rocked. I was a horsefly, mostly from curiosity regarding their method, and was very impressed by these guys — I seldom experience this kind of work ethic and conscientiousness. I don’t know how they can make it with their rates so low, requiring two guys 2.½ hours in a shoebox of a house like mine, with all the equipment, maintenance, and business overhead. I’d suggest having it done every 5 yrs if you’re the average user. Worth every penny.

Really impressed with the quality, professionalism and knowledge. They had to reschedule me because one of their technicians had an accident, so the owner Justin comp’d me with a dryer cleaning. Definitely will be using them again and recommending them to friends and family.

We are moving in to a new house and decided to have the ducts cleaned. Sure glad we did. Jason & Shawn spent almost 5 hours at our new house cleaning out every square inch of our duct system. I was amazed and shocked at what we pulled out. I can honestly say I rarely meet guys that care about the job they do. Jason & Shawn were extremely thorough and professional the entire time they were there.
If you are looking to have your duct system cleaned don’t fall for the cheap bait and switch coupons I saw while researching local companies to use here in Seattle. I’ve seen the work other places do in my house in Salt Lake City and it doensn’t even come close to what Jason & Shawn did for us.

Better Air NW cleaned my ducts last week and they were amazing. I was referred to them by my HVAC guy. I believe his exact words were, «they are the only place you want to use because of the quality of their work and the level of service.»
Booking online was easy, communication was great, and they did quality job for a very reasonable price — which is saying a great deal because my ducts were bad! We determined that they had probably never been cleaned as they found newspaper pieces dated from 1959 for a house built in 1952. Gross!!!
Definitely plan to continue to use them every other year for standard maintenance.

I booked an appointment with Better Air NW through their website and received off-​season pricing along with a discount for adding the dryer vent cleaning. Codie and Scott arrived a little early and were ready to go. They both were very respectful of our home and did their best to stay out if the way and keep us informed with what they were doing throughout the entire process. They pulled all sorts of construction debris from our system, from a light switch to large pieces of wood.
They completed all their work very near to the quoted amount of time. Jill Brunsch sent me a follow-​up email asking for feedback so I let her know they accidentally took our magnetic vent covers with them when they left. I asked if they could be dropped off next time they were in the area. Instead, Jill had brand new ones ordered from Amazon and delivered to our home. That’s great customer service!

We had this crew out a few months ago and I am not going to tell you anything anyone else hasn’t except maybe they found a Disney sticker book from 1982 down there, an empty roll of masking tape, and some other miscellaneous semi-​interesting items. I think a baby nose booger sucker. We paid the price that was quoted and our vents aren’t just clean, they are sparking. We knew the process would be loud so that was fine. Whatever they moved was put back perfectly. The scheduling gal was GREAT, plus we live in Kent and they had no problem coming our way. Call them! Now!

Great service! I wasn’t able to be home while they made their visit, but I left a keybox outside and they called when they arrived and when they left, and emailed me the before and after pictures of the work they did. Everything was clean and tidy and they left a full report of what they found. They also made a follow-​up visit to check on our furnace and to answer some questions I had and make some recommendations, which was very nice of them. Their scheduler Jill was also very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend!

Based on all these good reviews, I chose this team to clean the air duct of my house.
They came, did an estimate first. They told me it would take them 2.5−3 hours to finish the work.
And then 50 minutes later, they finished their work.
So either they are not that professional or they lied.

BANW was referred to us from our furnace service company Integrity Energy Systems. Every furnace company should refer BANW. Our service techs Aaron and Codie were very professional, honest and took the time to explain the whole process. I like that this is a family run business and not a corporate conglomerate. I will always do business with BANW and will promote their business to all of my friends and family. Great job guys!

I’m not a huge Unilocaler but I simply must recommend this company. They did an excellent job from start to finish. I made the online morning appointment and they showed up precisely at 8am — love that! My little house is only about 1,000 square feet and it’s an older bungalow. I’m quite sure the ducts had never been cleaned. It’s been about three weeks since they were here and I’m noticing about a 90% reduction in dust on the furniture and floors. The house smells better, I’m not sneezing anymore, and there’s just an overall feeling like it’s cleaner and fresher. I think I had a lot of wookies! Ick! Feels good to get rid of them. These guys are as good as advertised!
I found them based on 5 star Unilocal rating and they did an excellent job. I almost went with someone else out of a local coupon book that offered a free filter cleaning, or some other bogus service, but my wife asked me to check them out online first. Good thing I did because the other guys had a terrible rating and I found Better Air NW instead.
Not much else to say since they do exactly what you want them to, which is to clean out all the ducts in your home, and they do it for the fairest price (without bogus up-​sells).

Better Air NW was great to work with. They were responsive and reasonably priced. The guys that came to clean the vents were nice. They took the time to explain what was going on with me and when I mentioned I had a room with a vent that appeared plugged, he took a look at it and helped figure out what the problem was! Really appreciated that since he didn’t have to and could have just said he didn’t know what was wrong with it. Also noticed that the furnace worked a lot better after they were done!

Needed our furnace cleaned badly. Asked around and finally decided to try Unilocal.Glad I did. I made an appointment online and it was quick and easy. Had to wait a few weeks but it was worth the wait.
Aaron one of their employees came out and was right on time. Explained what he was going to do and got to work. He was very efficient and friendly. When he was done he explained and told us what he did and then moved furniture back cleaned up and left.
I was very impressed with the professional and pleasant work.

Amazing customer services, especially after we discovered that I have electric heating and no vents to clean! Regardless of my error, the rep who came by went through my house and pointed out some problem areas (my fireplace and dryer vent) that I should keep an eye on. He was extremely courteous and would not take any payment after I had essentially wasted his time, time that could have been spent with a paying customer! I also really like the half-​hour window arrival time (as opposed to 1 – 2 hours… COMCAST!) Overall, even though I didn’t end up having any work done, I would recommend this company to anyone with actual heating vents! My experience was extremely professional and the biggest test of all — my dog rolled over for a belly rub within the first five minutes! (he is an excellent judge of character :)

I recently purchased an old house that had seen more than its fair share of pets over the years. It took months to get rid of the smells and hair on the surface, but I had no clue what was lurking in the ducts. Before turning on the furnace we had to get them cleaned.
I started looking on Unilocal for duct cleaning reviews and noticed that the majority of the reviews read the same…“They had a $ 99 special and when they got to my house it was up sale, up sale, up sale.” When I got to Better Air NW’s reviews, I saw a great rating and no up sales mentioned… sold!
Tis the duct cleaning season, so I had to wait a couple weeks before they could come out (that’s what I get for not getting it done right away). When the day came, they were on time to the minute. We went through the house to identify all the vents/​returns, they explained their process and then they quickly got started.
Four hours later, they gave me the complete breakdown of their work. They found tons of pet hair, kitty litter and a duct blocked off by a bags worth of insulation. They also repaired a couple gaps and leaks in my system that they noticed while they were cleaning. I got the bill and it was exactly what they quoted… done!
The moment of truth arrived… really cranking up the furnace to see how it smelled and if there was any visible dust/​debris coming out of the vents. While they had tested it already, it was my turn to test things out. I’m pleased to say that my house smells better than ever and there’s no perceivable increase in dust compared to not running the furnace at all. Even with a quality company on the case, I thought the odds of that happening were slim to none (this house was that bad…).
I’m more than pleased with Better Air NW and I’ll be calling them back out in four years to clean them again.

They get high marks for a reason and it’s because they do good work and respect your home while they do it.
We recently purchased a 3800 sq. ft. place. Cost us about $ 655 and took 4 hours for them to complete. According to the guys it should last us 5 – 7 years considering we have no animals or children. As long as we check our filters every 3 months and change them out every 4, we should be good to go.
They were patient and took the time to explain their work and what we as homeowners can do.
It’s somewhat of a loud process for people who work out of the home.

They called me to just tell me they were going to be late by 15 – 20 minutes. They came, walked in, did an inspection of the vents and then started working. They finished within 3 and a half hours. They made sure everything was clean and very professional. Also in addition, their website is quite clean and modern compared to their competitors in the reigon.

Better Air NW left 5 mins ago and I couldn’t wait to get online and write my review.
I found Better Air NW through Unilocal and saw they had 5 stars with 76 ratings. I read the reviews and was impressed by what people said about the work and the value, but especially by their good reviews for customer service when something did eventually go wrong (because sometimes it just does).
So I booked them online — really simple. They emailed me an estimate at the time of booking, and their final work invoice was exactly what they quoted me. No fuel surcharge, driver’s time fees, or working-​on-​a-​cloudy-​day fee BS. Straight up.
For their work, they earned every star of their reviews. They arrived on time and got right to work. They worked efficiently and were thorough. More importantly, they brought the right equipment. This wasn’t just two guys with a vacuum cleaner and a hose.
Our new house is a remodeled 1976 trilevel and the ducts were filled with construction debris, toys and shag carpeting from the former owners. Jason and Shawn actually went down into my crawl space to clean and visually inspect all my ducts and returns.
They asked permission to open doors, explained what they were going to do before they did it, vacuumed the floor EVERYWHERE they had been — even my stairs — and even did some extra repairs that the former owner had attempted (and failed) as they came across them.
And it’s a bonus that they’re very likable and friendly guys. Jason and Shawn (brothers) were friendly, engaging, professional and had a good rapport between them. I felt very secure and safe, even though I was home alone with my toddler. When I tried to tip them at the end, they declined and said they’d just be happy if I felt good about the service. And they meant it. I can’t say enough. Great job.

I wish I could give 6 stars. This company is absolutely amazing.
In the past we’ve paid $ 99 and had some young guys back up in a van with some vacuum hose to suction dirt and dust out of the ducts. When they left, there was barely any difference. So I wasn’t excited about getting our new home duct cleaned.
Better Air NW is like no other company I’ve worked with. They went through the house with handheld hoses and suctioned out each register separately, pulling up broken glass and wood pieces and dog hair and even a receipt from 1989! In one register they found dog food and warned us that it was good we were getting it cleaned because it would attract rats in the future.
They also found a problem with our furnace where the ductwork wasn’t secured properly, leaving a gap that let garage smells into the home ductwork. They spent almost an hour fixing that with metal tape and even bending some sheet metal to tighten the seal. It was in an awkward location and it wasn’t their job and they didn’t even charge for it.
The 2 guys were knowledgeable (one was a home builder for 15 years) and friendly. They had great attention to detail and high quality standards and they worked quickly, efficiently and thoroughly.
In total, they spent about 3 hours here. The air actually smells lighter and breathing is easier. We’ll never again confuse the $ 99 specials with the high quality duct cleaning offered by Better Air NW. Highly recommended.

Quick to respond to their online bid form, came EXACTLY on time and did a bang up job on my new to me house that had been previously inhabited by a pack of shedding wookies given the state of both my return and supply vents. They showed me exactly how much dust and garbage were in the vents and how filthy the furnace was.
They quickly cleaned everything, even with a return in each room they were fast.
Highly recommended, extremely professional and thorough.

A week after the airducts being cleaned, I can make out the difference of the quality of air and cleanliness of our house, it is now free of dust (it used to be so dusty no matter how I clean around the house). We can now actually feel the warm air coming out of the ducts (it used to be very little heat even when the furnace is working hard).
Also, Justin contacted me and took corrective action on the issue with dryer vent cleaning. He explain that the additional work should’ve been discounted since our air duct and furnace have been serviced. Hence, I am updating my review of Better Air NW to 5 star. for reaching out to their customers, not many business owners do that anymore. I will surely recommend this company to anyone I know!

Wow! All I can say is Better Air NW completely shocked me with their professionalism and willingness to answer all my questions and concerns. Quickly came up with a quote and explained the process and exact services offered. I was not going to be home but instantly trusted Justin and his crew to do the job right based on all their reviews! Here is where it gets even better; I had a few more requests for them since I’m renting my house out and don’t have the time to take care of everything myself…

When I see a company with many many 5-​star ratings I either think they’re fabulous or everyone who wrote something is a paid shill. But I took a chance on Better Air NW and Ohemgee! Jason and Justin just spent over 4 hours at my house cleaning our ductwork that probably hadn’t been cleaned in several decades. It was bad, folks, bad. Jason and Justin were on time, very professional, extremely thorough, friendly, they cleaned up after themselves, need I go on? And for the job they did, it was very fairly priced. I would agree with another reviewer who said they went above and beyond. This is a very good company.

Today God send Justin and Matt came out to clean our Duct, Dryer Vent and our Furnace, they came early than our schedule and went to wok right away. They are very working hard .made our Duct, Dryer vent and furnace sparkling clean. Now I can Breath Better, much Healthier. Think clearer .

I have to say… in the land of contractors and folks that have anything to do with getting **** done around the house — these guys are first rate. They were great at following up; doing an explanation of the charges, were on time, and did an amazing job!
In addition to all this I’d also like to say that I felt they went above & beyond the call of duty. Showed me before and after pics of a few trouble areas; which was very helpful.
I don’t believe you can do better than the job these guys did & highly recommend them!

Here’s a quick review for now.
The lady I spoke with was very courteous and helpful. She mentioned that the people doing the work are more knowledgeable than her instead of giving me an inaccurate answer.
Two people that showed up were extremely nice and courteous. The main guy had done this for several years and was highly knowledgeable. They did a thorough job and went above and beyond by cutting through a duct since it needed to be cleaned and they couldn’t reach all the way through and patched it up later. In addition, he told us about everything that they found. They even went into the crawl space and cleaned up ducts there. In addition, he took care of a dead rodent which had resulted in a terrible odor and left us heater-​less for 2 weeks. He also sealed the entry point of the rodent, either of which he could have easily refused to do.
They also identified a problem with our dryer vent and recommended a company to take care of the problem… although I ended up using our trusted handyman for it.
The price was on the expensive side, but the results were worth it. The air is definitely cleaner. I highly recommend Better Air NW.

Some of the nicest, most detail oriented, helpful, and dedicated servicepeople I’ve ever invited into my home. I am extremely happy with the job they did cleaning my furnace and all my air ducts, replacing filters, and chattering away with me about solar power, composting as a way to heat your home water, rooftop water heaters, and all sorts of crazy hippie stuff! Right up my alley :)
