Array Apartments

Terrible customer service, we got there 15 minutes left flor the office to close and was treated very badly, the guy would not show me anything and just told the price, it’s a shame because we had consideres to move there. The person who is in front desk has no ability to reconize to potential customers.
Very very bad experience!!!

Meet with Array management and they were willing to work with me enough I have decided to renew for another 10 months. Again the Array staff has always been helpful and professional.
Pros:
Management have been friendly and helpful. I am always greeted with a smile and enjoy my brief interactions with them.
My almost 2 year here have been uneventful which is a good thing. The Apartments themselves are nice. I am the first one to live in my unit.
I have never had to turn the heater on once, not a single time living here. The building is exceptionally well sealed. (This is both good and bad)
I have no noise issues from neighbors. Most of the noise comes from Lake City Way.
Internet options a Century Link direct Fiber (up to 1gpbs) to your apartment which is really great, Your other choose is Comcast but why would anyone ever go with them.

Other thoughts: (why only 3.5 stars) — Primary reason is neighborhood.
Neighborhood is on the edge of the ghetto, I have seen cars which have been broken into around the complex. I have also heard gunshots before and every now and then the smell of weed floats into my windows.
Other issues:
In the summer, my unit gets unbearably hot, even if it is only in the 70’s. On the days it has been over 80 my apartment can get up to 100 degree as the sun faces it. Even with portable ACs in both windows (which is hard to do as the windows swing out from the side) I can only get the place down to the high 70’s in the summer. It is really a shame they did not put hookups for the portable ac units in these buildings.
No guest parking is actually a big issue, no one ever wants to come visit because of the lack of parking, and if they do find parking, your car is at risk due to the neighborhood.
The fee to park your car in the garage is about what the going rate is. Before I signed anything I made to sure get a parking space segmented away from other cars. But for the others who did not think about this the parking is extremely tight and $ 95 is really not reasonable.
The amenities are really not many, there is a small gym and some BBQ pits… nothing just about any other place in this class of complex does not have.
Only the two bedrooms apartments have a (small) deck and a few of the others. Most of the studio and 1 bedrooms do not, something which is very much much to be desired.
Final thoughts:
Again, the Array staff is great to work with and consistent. These are people you would want to do business with.
Not a bad place to live but may not be worth the price if you are paying over 1300 for a 1 bedroom on the top floor overlooking pool chemicals and excessive heat.
The other retail spaces are totally empty and always have been. (Gee i’m socked no business want to move into an nice building in the ghetto)
I know market rents and values have been going up in Seattle, given the growth but I still think it’s a bit overpriced for the area.

I lived there for a year. The apartments are nice, modern & easy to care for. Staff is friendly & responsive. The gym is great. They have garage parking — but it is way over priced — so I refused to do that! Moving in & out is a huge pain — since it’s a large secure building — with no good place to park a moving truck — except illegally on the street. Then you get yelled at if you prop the doors open. They will overcharge you for moving out expenses — so make sure to clean everything really well. I left my place spotless & they still took all but $ 65 of my deposit. The neighborhood is not great since there are so many apartments crammed in such a small area — but I never felt unsafe.

I lived at the same apartments and really I enjoyed there. I stayed there for one year and six months. They have a a nice security system and a appropriate space that I enjoyed in my Rome with my wife amd my baby. Also I’ll not forget a awesome and perfect assistance (Tara) she has a sense of humor, and she has a great way dealing with people. After I moved from my apartment really I regret and still miss them. I’ll for any one looking for a good quality and service security «Do not hesitate to go there »

Originally I was questioning myself as to whether my boyfriend and I made the right choice to live here (it took 5 weeks to get approved due to an mft program? not sure if thats the right one but it has to do with affordable rent from the city).
Backstory– they lock you in with a $ 400 holding deposit, and you get that money back if your denied, but you can’t back out without loosing it. Which all seemed fine seeing how we didn’t need to move in for another 8 weeks. But right at week 5 we started getting nervous and loosing our patience. We got approved that week.
Anyways this place is great and the management team has come through with every request! The day of the move we signed our contract, only to realize later that night that we signed the lease for too long. We asked to have it changed and they said they’d let us know after they spoke to their boss. A day later we got the approval, thanks Ryan! An extra perk is they change all the installed lighting fixtures in you apartment. The workout facility is clean and they provide sanitizing wipes, the grounds are always clean and tidy considering how many dogs I’ve seen, and the apartment is beautiful and quite. Also the garage and elevators don’t smell and are also always clean! (we’re coming from U-​district, on University ave).

I thought it was cool at first but shared utilities are bad my water bill was almost 200 $ also the building is not secure the back gate doesnt even have a lock the management also accused me of lots things I didn’t do. There lots of shootings at the park behind the array. Also they claim you can’t use any doors except front and main back gate because they are only emergency exits even though they are not marked as such. I have also good reason to believe a member of their staff stole from me as well Con Am management which runs this place also has a lot of very poor reviews if you don’t believe me talk to other residents they can sometimes be at the paek but only during the day they do not come out at night. The only bright spot at the array is Tara everyone who lives there loves her lol anyway don’t live here also don’t deal with Con Am they are all terrible except Tara shes cool. They also charge you for a parking space even if you don’t have a car.

Do not live here. The management staff is unreliable. They take days or even weeks to respond to emails. They will try to bind you into a lease extension and force you to pay after you have already moved out.
The neighborhood is also very dangerous. Recently there was a shooting and a swat team had to shut down the whole block. While living there, my car window was broken into and stuff was stolen from my car. I’ve had to run into the building before because of dangerous men on the streets. It is no where near shopping like they claim. The closest thing is McDonald’s and a Taco Bell. Not a safe area for a family.

I’ve been living here for a year and a half. To be honest the management is very cooperative and professional. The building is new and in an excellent condition. The reason why I’m moving out is the increasing rent which is too expensive compared to the location of the building.
Pros: good management, new building, prompt maintenance, good gym, nice common room and outdoor bbq area, easy access to buses, near Walgreens and Fred Meyer.
Cons: traffic on Lake City Way is annoying and wakes me up all the time, rent and utilities are expensive, and the neighborhood is not that safe.
It was a good place to live at if the rent was the same as I first came here.

I have lived here for about 18 months. My apartment is beautiful, has great natural light, is spacious, and best of all it’s quiet. The staff are friendly, kind, and welcoming. This is a great place to live but the neighborhood can be questionable at night.

«Amatuer Hour» seems to sum Array up for me.
I found them online and was excited about an offering listed on their site indicating an unit available ⁸⁄₅. After 2 emails and a voice message I left were not returned, I decided to just go there to talk to someone. I was told the unit would not be available to show until the end of the week (⁸⁄₆ or ⁸⁄₇). So, I scheduled an appointment for today, ⁸⁄₈. This morning, the unit is now listed as available ⁸⁄₂₈ which does not work for me. Not only that, upon my arrival, I was told they were «absolutely not» able to show me the unit despite the facts that it was no longer occupied and I had an appointment to see that specific unit. They seemed generally cold and confused to see me both times. If this is any indication of what living here would be like, I’ll pass.

This apartment has a beautiful complex and great interior in each unit. I do like how this apartment has a great security system which makes me feel safe. The staffs in the leasing office is very nice.
However, there are somethings that makes me think that this apartment is not really fitting for me. I live in the South building and it is extremely noisy. Often in the morning, I hear this noise that maintenance people are working on something and moving the garbages. These are something that cannot be done but it is EXTREMELY loud and it is very stressing. Especially when the garbage truck comes, it is intolerable.
Also, I moved to this apartment because it is «Smoke Free» apartment. However, I can often smell the marijuana or cigarette in the building or in the parking lot. I even saw people who are smoking in the complex. When I talked about it, they said there are nothing really they can do unless I tell them how they exactly look like. Because of the location of the building, I just would smell the smoke as I open the window. So it has to remain closed.
Next, I understand this is a brand new apartment but they deduct too much after move out. I do understand the things that needs to be replaced and fixed but I just got the impression that they are trying to make it too perfect. I heard that they use a different company to fix some things rather than the maintenance office fixing them so It makes the price go up higher than other apartments.
Lastly, I feel like I dont have privacy living here. Everyone of the office members (including maintenance) know about me and the issues I have talked to one of the office members. Also, they have many of this annual check up thing often that they come into the units after sending the notice few days before. If it is more like once a year, i would understand but I remember that I got that notice several times. I was so stressed because I felt I need to be at home.
Lastly, parking is too expensive. It is almost $ 100 a month. Most of the times, the garbage chute is clogged up so people just leave the garbage in front of it.
The neighborhood is very unsafe. I saw shooting happened in the apartment few blocks away.
I came because of the beautiful complex, but I don’t know if that was a right choice.

I completed a one year lease at the array apartments for a one bedroom apartment May 31, 2014. All of my bills were paid before the due date. I paid just shy of $ 18,000 for a one year lease. On 29 May I was completely moved out I asked could I pay the final bill. I was told by the management they would have to calculate the bill and I could come and pay them directly. A few days later I was told by the management they use a third-​party! I.e. collection agency to pay the final move out which is the opposite of what I was told originally. The third-​party company was rude and charged interest which is ridiculous because I offered to pay it two days prior to my lease being up!

My roommate and I just decided to renew our lease here for another 12 months. Realistically, the rent is not much different from other places in the area and is much nicer (inside, amenities, etc) in comparison. Our only complaint has been our upstairs neighbor who has a dog and makes all sorts of commotion during ‘day hours’… so not much reason to complain to management when no one is normally sleeping. Other than rare elevator technical difficulties, teeny tiny parking spots in the garage and no legitimate guest parking anywhere to be found, the apartment staff is friendly and the apartments themselves are beautiful. **A tip for anyone moving here is that if you think you can fit your car in a ‘compact spot’… get a bigger spot anyway.

When my husband and I were engaged, we looked at a LOT of places to call our first home. As soon as we looked at Array, we knew it was the right place. The people in the office are nice and friendly (I LOVE Tara especially).
Here’s what I love about Array:
— The appliances are pretty great. Not top of the line, but not terrible either.
— The fixtures are pretty nice! One of my best friends is an interior designer and commented on the brands. She said they were brands she puts in pretty nice homes.
— I hardly EVER hear anything from my neighbors. We live on the top floor. Walking down the hall I can hear someone playing music or watching a movie, but once I step inside my unit it is dead quiet.
— They let you hang things up the walls. It can’t be super heavy, which is understandable.
— Maintenance does a good job, but I haven’t really had to call them for much.
— Management is easy to talk to about your concerns.
— The lobby and community areas are just as nice as the units! I can’t tell you the number of places I looked at that had really nice community areas and sub-​par units.
— They allow animals! We don’t have any but the rates look pretty reasonable.
— Monthly rates are pretty reasonable for how nice everything is
— The gym is pretty large for an apartment. They don’t have all of the equipment I like to use but you can put in a pretty good workout with the equipment they have.
What I don’t love:
— parking for guests is a little bit tricky
— We aren’t allowed to use the stairs to go up unless the elevator is being worked on or the fire alarm goes off.
— The elevator is sloooooooow during the evening when people are getting home from work.
— Parking in the garage is a bit steep for the per month price.
Overall, I would highly recommend Array.

I moved to Seattle about a year and a half ago i lived in the central district and it was expensive and really unsafe. I feel a lot more comfortable here and the rent is very reasonable. The building has great amenities and the units are solid. Overall you get the most bang for your buck. Also Tara in the management office is super sweet and helpful whenever i have any questions or concerns she takes care of them right away!

The apartments and complex look beautiful, but over the past 9 months the living experience here has been pretty miserable. The building structure itself doesn’t seem to be built too well. The floors are paper thin. The tenant living upstairs is literally driving me crazy! I can hear EVERY move he/​she makes. I can actually hear cabinet doors closing… ugh. At times it sounds like he/​she is literally stomping on the floor when walking.
Listening to almost constant pounding on the floor for 9+ months, combined with a dog that howls and barks (sometimes as early as 7 am) when the tenant leaves the apartment has driven me to my wits end. I’ve made noise complaints, but to no avail… the «beat» goes on. It’s certainly not the living experience one would expect for the price-​tag. The staff is nice, but I’m literally counting the days until my lease is up.

Good amenities and appliances. Lots of friendly staff to resolve any problems that may occur. Secure parking and entrance. Take a tour to see!

Place Is still good only negative is the mariginal parking for $ 90 or $ 95 bucks a month while the apt next door is $ 30. Every spot is tight and i have a small car everybody has to adjust to get in or out alot of potential dings. Also there is no good parking for guests theres a second garage labeled guests and retail but not accessible. Many neighbors say they will leave and I agree depending if the rent goes up with bills 2bed 2bath upper floors paying around $ 1900 something. Come give it a try family friendly. Neighbors aren’t loud, some leave their trash out like their is a trash service but not too often.

I just moved in. Professionalism on the part of the staff and a beautiful complex with great amenities has been my only experience at Array. Jo-​Anne is especially nice. If I get tired of the gym, right over the hill is lake Washington, and on a longer run I can make it to the bike path along the shore. Starbucks across the street and a quaint park is situated behind the south building which is always filled with kids.
The security in the building feels good. There is a lounge with free wifi, and the rooftop deck and courtyard have grills. There is also a nice water fountain and gas fed fire feature. The floor plans are modern, the appliances are stainless, and all the lights are LED, keeping the energy costs low.
Parking is secured and is a must because on street parking is sketchy. The same company manager Oregon42 in West Seattle. It is the sister building to this one, and prices are the same, but for commuting this location is better. Express lane starts right of Lake City Way, means I can make it to downtown in 10mins on a good day or 25mins on a bad day. Not bad for 10miles. The express lane access makes all the difference.

Haven’t been living here for very long so my opinion might change over time. Definitely does not meet up to the standards as my last apartment. I’ll start off by saying that the apartments are completely new and look incredibly nice; especially for the monthly rent. But I do feel it is fair considering the location of the apartments. If you don’t drive, then it can be incredibly tedious trying to cross the street to get to Array. You can either get off 137^th St and walk backwards waiting for two very long lights or get off 145^th St and wait for two very long lights. There really isn’t anything interesting within walking distance. Maybe in the next year or two.
They do have a large fitness area with several equipment that is really nice. The courtyard is semi finished. Not sure where any of the trash cans are. They have no trash cans anywhere! Rooftop isn’t finished yet. There is also a nice common area for residents. We aren’t allowed to drink there which I can somewhat understand but also loses it’s appeal to have guests over in that area and just relax or meet other fellow residents. The last apartment I stayed at also had a nice common area and alcoholic beverages were not an issue. I rarely drink but it just feels like this place has many restrictions.
Something I am not too fond of is the lack of convenience. If you want to order AmazonFresh, forget trying to do unattended delivery because they don’t allow them up on your floor. Even the delivery guy was surprised. He said he has only encountered maybe 2 other places in Seattle that don’t allow delivery people on other floors. Their reasoning was that it would be «awkward». Not really a good reason in my opinion. The second inconvenience is that they are unable to leave your packages outside or inside your apartment when you are unable to get it during their office hours. So if you need a package no matter how important it is for you to receive that day, you can forget about it. We were also told that we would receive e-​mails notifying us of packages but that seems to be a future perk; Unsure when that will be.
The folks that work here are pretty nice so far. No real complaints there. The residents usually keep to themselves and it seems a lot of them are afraid of dogs. I’ve said «hi» to a few people and get a weird look. I do run into the occasional resident that have dogs themselves. Luckily the nicest people I’ve met live across the hall from me. I keep reading other Unilocalers saying that professionals live here. Not really sure what that means to them but I have not encountered or seen any professionals living here.
So overall, the apartment itself is very nice and livable. If the rent stays low, then I will likely stay for another year. If they made some changes to cater more to the residents comfort and convenience then I would update my rating. For now it is «A-​OK». Definitely worth checking out if you are looking for something nice on a lower budget.
