I had a terrible experience here. One person lied about issues with my car that were not related to tires (I had my own mechanic check it out to confirm). The employee was manipulative and threatening. He actually threatened to not allow me to take my car if I didn’t have the work done right that minute. Another employee gave me his cell number and said he would do the work under the table for cheap while the shop was closed. They did not park my car properly after replacing the tires — it’s a manual transmission and they left it in neutral without the parking brake on. Also, the TPMS light was still on after they replaced the tires.
The most fucked up thing is that other than the issue with the TPMS light, I am super happy with the tires I got here and the price I paid for them. So if they had just stuck to doing the job I asked them to do, I would have been really happy. Instead, I will go out of my way to tell people what fuckwads these guys are.

These guys are great! We brought our Land Rover in because we had a slow leak in one of our tires. They found a nail in the tire, and repaired it for free. They also checked our oil level and topped us off, letting us know we were half a quart low.
The best part? They did this free of charge. Pretty phenomenal customer service and trustworthy personnel. I recommend coming here for your tire needs– they clearly know the value of integrity!

An update to my latest experience. Allen, the local General Manager contacted me as a result of my post here and customer survey result I posted as a follow-​up to the appointment. Allen works hard to make sure his customers are happy and took the time to work through my issue and make sure that my concerns were resolved. I’m not in the neighborhood for this location anymore, but they have another location near me and I think I’ll give it a shot next time I need repairs.

Let me start of by saying I HATE dealing with anything to do with car maintenance. Oil changes, flat tires — even pumping gas — I hate it all! That being said, I have had two really great experiences at Affordable Tire. I know car repair shops are infamous for trying to take advantage of people, especially women, who are seemingly unknowing, but in my experience, this place doesn’t do that!
First was getting a tire replaced after I got a flat. I came in on my donut wheel, and as they offered to give me a free tire rotation, they found that one of my other tires had an irregular bulge. Turns out it was coming apart from the inside, which makes it prone to blowouts (scary!) So I ended up having to get two tires this day, but they really live up to their name and offer affordable pricing on their tires with warranty! Didn’t cost an arm & a leg like some places I got quotes from. I also noticed that one of my brake lights was broken, and the manager fixed it free of charge. :) No issues whatsoever with my new tires or brake light several months later! Yay.
After my first good experience, I was happy to come back here for an oil change, which I’d put off doing for a while haha. I called in to set up a time the day of on a weekend, and the manager (different than the manager I dealt with the first time) was really accommodating and friendly. I came in within the hour, and the process quick & easy, and they didn’t try to convince me to fix other things that I didn’t come in for, which is a HUGE pet peeve of mine. I was in and out in 20 mins!
Another plus is they have complimentary fresh coffee & cold water bottles in the waiting area.

Recently got a flat on one of my BMWs rear Continental ProContacts. AAA guy said it looked like a patch job, this place insisted on new tires. First thing that made me feel uneasy.
Next thing that made me feel uneasy? George, the manager, insisted that the Falken-​brand tires he carries are «the best» and he knows «many BMW drivers» who have them. Right. Most BMW owners swear by ProContacts. I amused George and searched «Falken + BMW.» Across Falken’s entire selection of tires for my E46, forum feedback is lukewarm at best. But, I’m trapped by a 25% restocking fee, and unless I fork out $ 200 can’t switch tire brands. Funny. I’m a repeat customer for two shops in the Ballard area (old BMW, lots of mx to keep up on). These shops happily place $ 800+ orders for parts that «might» be needed (i.e., during a cooling system refresh or suspension overhaul). These shops understand my time is limited. If they encounter more things that need to be fixed while under the hood, the part is already there. No need to wait longer for parts to arrive. If they’re not needed I don’t pay for them or a restocking fee. Second thing that makes me feel swindled.
It gets worse. Tires installed. After about a week for the break-​in period I’d say decent performance (grip) on dry Seattle roads. Not as good as my BALDING ProContacts. Can’t imagine how bad these will be with more miles. Then the rain came. The easiest way to describe what driving in rain now feels like is trying to walk on a Slip-​n-​Slide. Constant DSC light flashing. Under normal acceleration from any stop light or sign. Not mashing the pedal, at all. Funnily enough, my ProContacts never had this issue. When freshly installed, balding, or with a nail in them. George the manager’s reply was about as honest as his «many BMW owners have this brand» statement. He asked if I drove over potholes (really man? Is there a pothole at every stop line?), if I accelerated hard, how hard the rain was, and so on… just a bunch of «I’m not going to help you, but I’ll pretend» questions. One of my trusted shops put in the wrong coolant. I called them to say the car was overheating. Same day the (week old) expansion tank exploded. Turns out they put in the wrong coolant. What evidence was there? The coolant all leaked! They checked the receipt and saw that they did, indeed, put the wrong coolant in. No questions asked, they fixed the problem and gave me a hefty store credit. No stupid questions like «were you accelerating hard?»
Now you might be inclined to disregard this review, but don’t. I’ve had issues with some shops in this area before. But the managers and mechanics are always willing to work with you, and not treat you like a Neanderthal who stumbled across your car’s keys. Honestly, compared to my other numerous experiences with area mechanics. This is ridiculous. I don’t appreciate the lack of service, or salesman pitch that George thinks is acceptable. That’s too bad because it seems like the mechanics here are good.
I’ll be calling corporate, since that’s the only way to get over the manager’s head (apparently). I do appreciate that he drove to the warehouse and personally picked up the tires. Though I don’t appreciate how much emphasis he put on this. Sorry, dude, I can’t even count on my hand how many times my trusted mechanics have done the same for me. Shady business practices. If you run into problems here, good luck.

BE WARNED!
I’m was new to the area and got a nail in my tire. I figured hey, I can probably take this to any tire shop and they could patch it without any issues. I found «Affordable Tire Factory & Service» on Unilocal and they had good reviews and figured how bad can you mess up patching a tire.
BOY WAS I WRONG… The tire patch itself was not the issue. It was how they lifted my car with there scissor jacks. With a BMW, the scissor jack pads are suppose to go under the BMW jack pads. Instead, they lifted it on the rocker panel which can result in damages. In my case, the way there scissor jack was set up it wasn’t possible for them to positioned the scissor jack pads on all for BMW jack pads. Instead of telling me this, they went ahead and position one of the scissor jack pad under the rocker panel of my BMW. From the pics attach, you can see how it dented the plastic rocker. There scissor jack also damaged the BMW jack pads based on how it was positioned. I’m not sure what other damage there could be because there are fuel lines under the plastic rocker panel and all the weight of the car wasn’t meant to be put on that section of the car. By the time I noticed it, it was to late.
Brandon was the store manage of this location. At first, he was super nice and helpful. However, after I pointed out the issue with the damage plastic rocker he changed his demeanor. He tried to sell me the story of how that the car is suppose to be jacked up normally from that section and that there was nothing wrong with it. Then what would the point of the bmw jack pads be if that was true? If you look at the picture, you can clearly see the jack pad bending into the rocker panel and that he was doing me a favor by fixing the flat tire. It’s one thing to fix a flat tire, but another to create more damages to the car.
To make matters worse, after i pointed that out in one simple sentence without any attitude, he cut me off and said «I’m not going to argue with you about this matter, have a good day and told me to leave.» I mentioned that I would contact the owner on this matter and he told me «good luck with that.»
I expected more from a company that preached good customer service. Also if you specialize in tire replacement, you should know how to jack up cars properly even if it’s a BMW. And if you don’t have the equipment to jack it up, then you should not do that job and tell the customer.

I plan to try to contact the owner with this matter and as well as file a complaint with BBB.

After emailing corporate, the general manager Allen contacted me right away to apologize and to fix any damages.

The general manager Allen did pay for the damages and tried his best to resolve the problem as quick as possible. I wish all his employees were reflective of him. In the future, I might consider the tire shop again but at a different location hopefully where Brandon isn’t a store manager.
On Allen’s responsiveness to address the issue I would rate a four, but In terms of the whole experience of this happening at this specific location and having to email corporate,

First of all, I am a former Service Manager for Rolls Royce /​Bentley Motorcars, so I know a thing or two about service.
I headed down to Affordable Tire and worked with Brandon, their Store Manager. He was very accommodating and professional. He helped me in dealing with a leak on my BMW’s rear tire. Big, BIG bonus points go to Brandon’s Service Technicians, who were able to identify and resolve the source of the problem. It was repaired with expediency and quality. Once complete, the Technician that worked on my car even helped guide me safely out of their parking lot which was well lit, but crowded with other autos.
When I worked for Rolls /​Bentley, I afforded my clientele the professional courtesy and attention that the fine folks at Affordable gave me. Accurate and quality repair is what really counts in the end, right? Well, I recommend Affordable Tire Factory & Service, where you get the repair done right and Rolls Royce service, even if you don’t drive a Rolls Royce :-)

I took my car into the shop here today and I had some questionable interactions with some of the technicians before, especially some of the young kids behind the desk, but the individual who I dealt with today has restored my hope in this location, especially since I live so close to it. I think his name was Brandon, if so, very knowledge, good vibe, he’s going to make me want to bring my car back here.

This is an amazing place. Their service is top notch, quick, and very reasonable. The staff is uplifting. I wouldn’t think of taking my car to get new tires/​tire fixes/​etc anywhere else.

The service is great here. Technicians do a good job as well.
I was impressed by how «affordable» the place was. Even among the affordable tyre factory branches, I’d recommend this branch as they give a trustworthy quote and fix the car up nicely.
I will be going to these guys for all of my future car needs.

If you decide to take your car here, be very careful. They like to recommend expensive work that does not need to be done.
I’ve had my car at this shop a few times, and now see that I have likely been scammed on more than one occasion. This last time, I trusted my gut instinct that something didn’t feel right and took my car for a second opinion. The folks at Affordable Tire Factory told me that my rear break hoses had cracks and were leaking break fluid. They said I needed two new hoses as well as a break flush for almost $ 400.00. They were very pushy, suggesting my car was in unsafe condition I believe to scare me into having the work done right away.
As a single women that doesn’t make a lot of money, I was devastated to have to spend hundreds on more repairs. I asked if the break flush was absolutely necessary, to which the person I was talking with said that it was, there was no way to install the new rear break hoses without performing the break line flush.
I made some calls and found out that break hoses are an extremely inexpensive part. About $ 15 – 20 a piece. I also discovered that a break flush does not need to be done for this type of repair but for more extensive work done on break lines or break system rebuilds.
So I took my car to a different shop, upon their inspection, they found a loose bolt that was the cause of my slowly leaking break fluid. The mechanic at the new shop said all of my car’s break hoses were fine, tightened the bolt & topped off my break fluid for a cool twenty bucks. The problem has been resolved. When I told him what was suggested to me at Affordable Tire Factory his reply was «That’s crazy, break hoses are really cheap, and you don’t even need any»
I think that the owner must offer some kind of bonus incentives to his mechanics so that they push expensive repairs. The people here I feel are unethical and dishonest. It’s places like this that give mechanics a bad name.

I have been going to Affordable Tire Factory & Service for 4yrs for my Jeep and absolutely love them. Allen and now manager Tyler, always take time to clearly explain what is going on and answer all of my questions. They have great prices, great customer service, are trustworthy and I can’t say enough good things about them.

Affordable Tire has been servicing my two vehicles (1992 and 1998 model years) for several years. The service has been excellent. The prices have always been lower than comparable shops. I have been completely satisfied with the quality of the repairs, the price, and the turn around time. I don’t take my cars anywhere else.

Brandon and his crew are highly knowledgeable, friendly, and down to earth. They will walk you out to your car and show you exactly what’s going on under the hood. After several years, even after moving clear across town, I won’t take my car anywhere else. Doesn’t matter if you drive a $ 70,000 ride or in my case, a hoopty Geo Metro, they will treat you with the same professionalism and courtesy, earning your trust the old-​fashioned way.

I have been going here over the years to continue having service for my vehicle. Everytime, the job is done in a timely & cost-​effective way. I truly appreciate that I can depend on them to deliver what they say they will.

These guys are great. I came in with a donut on my vehicle expecting to pay about $ 100 to repair or replace my tire. Nope! These guys fixed my punctured tire for free! It was quick, too. In and out in about 15 minutes. I highly recommend these fellas.

These guys seem better than most, but I’ve had to play triage here for a ladycar a couple times now because they don’t answer her correctly. Huge dude shows up and everyone stands to attention and has immediate answers.
I have had to do this twice.
On the first occasion, the ladycar owner waited for the repair and was charged for an additional hour of labor than she was waiting. Questionable.
After I didn’t particularly like the answer of three and a half hours for a coolant pump replacement on the next occasion, I started doing some internet research on what is reasonable.
These guys pad time and parts a bit overly much, I find. An acceptable amount most places, but I get the feeling that if I came in here myself, had them show me what they were going to do instead of a non-​mechanical woman who just left it in their hands, I would have been charged less.
Likely a difference of $ 100−200ish dollars of blatant padding in a $ 500 – 800 buck repair window is likely fine if they weren’t totally obvious about it.
That being said, you’re likely to get shafted harder elsewhere in town, so three stars sounds fair. I believe that I’m going to send ladycar and their owner elsewhere in the future.

I got a flat tire, needed three new tires (I knew this previously, was just saving money up for it), called them, they got my car in that day and fixed it up quickly.
Complimentary water bottles while I waited was a bonus!
I also needed a spare tire, Tyler was able to call around to get me the best deal for the wheel, mounted it and put it in the back of my trunk at no extra charge.
I will definitely be going back!

I had to come back and update my review from 5 months ago, simply because I’m so happy with my experience at Affordable Tire.
Woke up this morning to a very low tire. As I don’t know much about air pressure, etc., and as I’d had a GREAT experience with getting my tires checked here, I immediately gave them a call and was told to come by in an hour or two. Brought my Subaru in, they took a look and found a screw embedded in my tire. They took the tire off, put on a permanent patch, and checked all of my other tires, as we’re headed out of town in a few days and wanted to make sure the car was safe.
Once again — 100% courteous, friendly, honest service and NO CHARGE for the check/​patch. I cannot recommend them highly enough — I won’t bring my car anywhere else for oil changes and tire checks!
