I called this morning to get my tire repaired after noticing a screw in it! Service was outstanding. I was able to come right in and be on my way in 20 minutes. They repaired the flat for free! I will definitely be back when I need to get 4 new tires put on very soon!

I’ve been going to this shop longer then most of the employees in the shop, and have recommended it for years to my friends. But the last few years everything I have repaired needs to go back. Today was the 4^th time back for latest repair on my trunk which didn’t open. Trunk opens but it was not even put back together. Side wall liner pulled away, and ripped along with upper liner pulled down. I’m sure if I take it back they’ll fix it, for the 5^th time. They have fixed a lot on my vehicles, but I always need to take it back. I hate writing reviews that are negative, but I was clearly irritated the last time I was there. So to come home and see the liner hanging down, tells me they stopped caring, and my patience has run out. After 12 or 13 years of buisness I’ll find another shop

I was in a frantic need for a new tire after coming from Greenwood on a flat. I had googled these guys and saw some good reviews, and decided to check it out. The customer service was so good you almost wanted to take everyone working there out for a beer after they fixed your tire in a timely manner. So friendly, and knowledgeable without making you feel like you were stupid. They got me on my way in exactly the time that they had estimated. I cannot recommend these folks enough!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CARE HERE! A Few months ago I got tires here and they gave me a free oil change. A month later I took my car in for the free oil change. A month after that the engine blew from an oil leak at the oil filter. Verified by Subaru dealership and Toyota dealership. If you love your car this is where your car goes to die!

I was leaving work a month or so ago and heard a weird noise like something was stuck in my tire. Drove down there and they fit me in between other customers. Checked everything out and had me on my way in about 20 minutes. Oh and they didn’t charge me anything. Great guys!

I soooo don’t understand why this place has such terrible reviews! They have the best prices in town and the nicest guys working there! Mike was awesome and got me in right away and didn’t make fun of my extremely bald/​flat tires! I’ll definitely be coming back!

Fixed a flat on a car for totally free.
Took off and remounted in the right direction a motorcycle tire I had ordered online from someone else a fair price. I don’t remember the exact number, I think it was $ 25. I had mounted it myself being dense with the direction backwards
This is very bad on a motorcycle in Seattle as it will draw in the water instead of disbursing it for traction.
Will definitely consider for new car tire purchases and all future motorcycle tires.

When you’re greeted on the phone with «Are you ready for some excellent customer service?»…you know you’ve come to the right place. The greeting is just the icing on the cake!!! The service is quick and efficient and you’re treated like you’re a family member. I only came in for a tire repair but not only did they repair my tire… they did it for free (they pushed back my credit card). I hear they do all types of services and I will definitely be coming back!!! Clean business nestled right between rainier and Martin Luther King Dr… really easy to find and convenient… you’ve got to check them out… give them a call, the guy that answers the phone is knowledgable, courteous and friendly… not a bad bone in this business’ body!

This is my favorite garage of all time. I have had maybe 7 repairs done here over the years. They always find the problem, they show me clearly on my vehicle what needs fixing. They also explain options and never insist on the most expensive approach. Also their cost for a given repair is always below the norm. This place has excellent customer service and their repairs always fix the problem. After a lifetime of car ownership, I have finally found a garage I can trust to do repairs honestly, reliably, and cheaply, every time. I have never trusted a garage the way I trust this place.
I give them my highest rating.

I stopped in on Friday afternoon with a flat tire AND a flat spare! They sent me on my way an hour later with both tires repaired at no cost to me!

I love this place… I have been coming to them since before they were Tire Factory. At this point I drive from Lynnwood to have my vehicle serviced there.
Always courteous, professional and fast. They will do their best to accommodate you.
I was sad to see some of the faces I have known over the years not there when I went in today for a post craigslist purchase inspection but service was still phenomenal. Even with 2 cars in bay and a short staff they were able to see me. Had me agree to the inspection check charge ($ 44 and change) and came back with a recommendation for all shocks and two tires. I ended up going with shocks and all 4 all weather tires as I plan to drive cross country next week and feel like $ 910.00 with parts, labor and tax I paid was not at all unreasonable… especially with the waiving of the inspection fee (fairly standard but still nice to see).
This is my second best experience with them and standard for what they have done for me in the past.
All of this and a great people watching lobby! Rainier Valley never disappoints!

After an emergency trip to another shop (terrible), I highly appreciate Affordable Tire and Brake. I’ve been there a couple of times with tire problems. They’ve done the work quickly, without appointment, and flawlessly. The guy at the counter is super friendly. He’s also helpful in explaining what’s going on and showing what work needs to be done. Most recently, the shop recommended that I have the rear brake pads replaced. They were right: They were metal-​to-​metal soon thereafter. They said that’s the only work I needed done. The resulting emergency visit I made to another shop (the day before a road trip) didn’t go as well. This other shop recommended far more work than was necessary (I know brakes well enough to figure that out). So I conclude that Affordable Tire and Brake does good business by being honest. For that, they’ll keep my business.

I’ve learned of the free or inexpensive services offered by the four «Affordable» garages, in Seattle. When I have a car concern, I roll to the most convenient «Affordable» garage near my route. When I wanted to upgrade my Honda Accord donut spare tire to a full-​size-​just-​like-​the-​others spare, I came to the Affordable garage on MLK. They ordered a wheel and tire. They found a way to fit it in my trunk’s spare tire space, which Honda had not designed for this purpose. I think that this was all near $ 60; my memory fails me. I recommend this shop to someone who wants car care, for pennies. This garage has been pivotal in helping my car reach 278,000 miles, despite my non-​mechanic car-​care approach. Over time, this garage replaced my: struts, light bulb, spare tire, oil, wheel covers, and countless other items.

I have had two great experiences here.
I was in Seattle visiting my Mom, who is recovering from a fall… so I was driving her car while I was visiting. Her car really needed new tires and one of her tires was going flat, so I took the car to these guys and they were really nice and fixed the flat… at no charge! They told me my Mom’s car needed tires, but they didn’t pressure me.
Fast forward a couple of months — I go back home to Tennessee and need just one tire for my 2001 Mercedes. It had a sidewall puncture and was toast. The tire was discontinued and I couldn’t find it anywhere locally. I was facing buying four new tires. On a whim, I called these guys and they found it for me! They shipped the Mercedes tire to me via UPS and also knew a tire place here in Nashville that would mount it. They really know tires and went above and beyond for me and I don’t even live in Seattle!

I’m not sure why there are negative reviews. I had the best experience from this auto motive store than I have had in years.
I was in the store in Jan. with a leaky tire. The employees were very friendly and they fixed my tire for free. They told me I needed new tires soon, so I took my car back recently. The manager Rick explained to me what tires would be best for my car and why.
After I picked up my car I noticed that they VACUUMED OUT the interior of my car and WASHED the window. It really made me feel good that they care so much for my business.
I will certainly take all my cars to them in the future for tires and service.

I just got STELLAR SVC at affordable. The guys took great care of my vintage mercedes. I brought them a difficult job and they were there for me all the way through. Pricing was right 9n without having to negotiate, whitch I LOVE, and they were patient the whole way. I have sent mh parents there also, everybodys happy!

Since my last visit I was contacted by the owner who was very polite, he asked what happened on my last visit as has asked for an opportunity to make it right with me. I cant ask for any more than that and I will support this business in the future.

I don’t know why people have bad experiences with them. This place is really really friendly, super helpful, nice and have great customer service. My family and I go here for our car needs… they’re one of the places we consider in our top 5 places to go.
I got a few things replaced a few months ago, and they were great. They said it’d take a few hours, so I walked to starbucks and waited a few hours. They were done early and I got quotes for other things I needed to get done.
They were helpful and convenient. I’ve also called in times before, asked them for a quote, and if they didn’t know, they happily took down my number and called me bck to answer my question. Never a problem with them.
Like the review from Adam (below), I believe it’s Mike that my dad talks to about cars when he needs a fixing. He’s pretty nice and he’s a great GM.
I don’t know why people don’t like this place, seriously. They were accurate with my estimates, helpful and try to do everything fast, with great quality.

I called in to see how much an alignment would be and I’m pretty sure I was told $ 57.99 over the phone. Maybe not $ 57 but it was definitely 50-​something. When I got there, the guy had me sign a paper that said it would be $ 79.99. I’m thinking possibly the tax and other fees, but still. Why not just say that over the phone? «It’ll be $ 57.99 not including taxes and fees.» I don’t know, it just seems like that should have been said. Not too big of a deal though, I guess.
I ended up walking out of there with a price quote of $ 1035 worth of work that they said I needed done. They showed me what was wrong with it, but being that I don’t know anything about cars, they could have been showing me something that was completely fine and I’d never know the difference.
It just seemed a bit shady because once I called home and explained what was going on, the guy started saying stuff like, «If you commit to doing this work now, I can have it all done today but if you come back at like 2:45 or something, I can’t get all of it done today.» Seems a bit fishy since it was about 2:15 when he said all of this. You really can’t spend an extra 15 minutes doing something to get it completed? It sounded like he just wanted my money right then and there.
I know my tires were bad, but they should have tried to sell me tires and fix my alignment, instead of all this other mumbo-​jumbo that they said wasn’t a safety issue.
