WorldMark Seaside

This place is incredible! Definitely one of the nicest Worldmark resorts I have stayed at yet. It is right on the beach. Absolutely gorgeous. You need to make a reservation at least 5 months in advanced if you want a nice resort as this place is always booked up! I feel there is not much to do in this city besides play on the beach or go hiking. I feel the resort realizes this and created many activities to do inside the resort! They have a nice arcade room with pool tables and lots of other games. There is a decent gym. Amazing staff! A little store with all the essentials plus more. The pool is very nice and heated. They have color changing lights in the pool and hot tubs. I had the most fun staying in the resort more than exploring the city. I will absolutely stay here next time I am town. I can guarantee this is the nicest place to stay in Seaside.

Awesome location right on the beach and very nice property with heated outdoor pool and game room with ping pong, foosball, and arcade games. The rooms are updated and clean. Full kitchens allow you to cook in the room without having to eat every meal out. Love having the additional space versus a cramped hotel room. Skip the welcome presentation that lasts 90 minutes. It is not worth the $ 100 gift card.

We went here on our honeymoon. Overall it looked ok, not luxurious by any stretch but comfortable. I have never stayed at a timeshare before so I liked that it was just like a small apartment and the view was nice. That is pretty much where all the good things ended.
My major complaint was the sales pitch, not the fact that we had to go to one as I was expecting it but before we even sat down for it the first thing out of my mouth was «we are about to buy a home and we will not be buying anything at this point but are interested in a couple of years from now after we have our home.» We listened to the pitch and then they said «well why don’t we at least show you how much this will cost you just so you know.» I repeated the fact that buying a home was our most important thing right now and that we didn’t want anything to affect our credit so we wouldn’t be buying, but yes I was interested in how much this would be so that we could know for the future. They said it would depend on our credit rating what they could offer us so they were going to need to figure that out. I told them I did not really want to because I was worried about a credit inquiry, they told us that they would not do anything that would show up on my credit report. A week after we got home I received a copy of my credit score and it had dropped and the only difference between that months and the previous month was a hard credit inquire from WorldMark.
I was interested in buying from them but not anymore, I will never ever buy from someone who would lie to my face. I tried calling to complain and after being transferred to 4 different people I was finally told that I would be called back, it has been a week and no one has contacted me.
I will never ever go back to a WorldMark property, let alone trust them enough to give them my money.

This place is really nice. We got a room with a view of the pool and the ocean. They have about everything you need for cooking in the kitchen. A tv in each room. I couldn’t see any flaws about the room. They have a huge pool, a kiddie pool and 2 hot tubs. The downside was that the workout room was crapped up and there wasn’t a court. Also, they make you bring down towels to get more and you have to go down to get more coffee bags because they don’t refill it for you. Otherwise, beautiful resort.

We are unable to check in because they require the person whose name is on the reservation to be present. The reservation holder is in Hood to Coast Van 2 finishing up the race. We won’t see them for hours. It is remarkable to me that World Mark would not talk to the reservation holder over the phone… While at the same time they recommend having that person CALL TO SWITCH NAMES! She is in the race. Cold. Unwavering. Clearly not service oriented. AND we weren’t the only team they did this to. Others were standing in the lobby facing the same issue.

We were trying to check in here, during hood to coast, but since the reservation was in my wife’s name they are unable to help. I understand having policies, but during a special event is is surprising that customer service takes such a low priority. We will be avid fans of never returning. Attitudes were terrible.

If it were possible to give less than one star, I would do so. The staff is belligerent, ineffectual, and bureaucratic. They leverage the smallest detail to make your life miserable, while trying to sell you a timeshare.

The hotel is nice, they have there own free private parking space, free internet etc… The Rooms has a lot of room especially the bathroom its huge. The bed is not comfortable in the studio and I don’t like how the tv is next to you it should be in front of you when laying in bed. bThey have their own little kitchen that is nice.
Edit– I changed it from a 4 star to a 2 star is because when they try to sell you the full package of ownership to there timeshare and they say that they just want to help us have a good vacation and that they are not going to put pressure on us to buy. What comes out of there mouths are lies when you say no you do not want to buy what do they do still try to sell you it how many times does it take saying no until they understand.

Great pool and location to the beach, shopping and dining. The staff was very friendly and helpful in every way. We will be back!

Check-​in took over an hour waiting in a long line, including confusion about finding our reservations, followed by 15 minutes of sales pitch and annoying, unnecessary questions. (I predict a lot of marketing from them in the future … ugh.) There were many exhausted and unhappy families in that lobby, so clearly our experience wasn’t unique.
We checked in at 6pm to be told our reserved and pre-​paid room was not ready yet. «Hopefully around 7.» Annoying that they couldn’t be more specific. When I asked about check-​out procedures so I wouldn’t have to stand in an hour-​long line AGAIN, the staff was vague. Still no contact from the front desk by 8 pm, so I called the front desk from our traveling companion’s room. First they had to argue and insist that I had been called … then check and call me back. We finally got a room number at 8pm: four hours after check-​in.
The closet smelled strongly of dog pee and industrial cleaning supplies. (Hmmm, so that’s why the room wasn’t ready.) I couldn’t hang our clothes up, so we opened the windows and aired the room while we went out to late dinner. Note: the resort charges an additional $ 100 refundable deposit for cleaning charges, even if you purchase the room from a Worldmark owner.
Weird aside to cap the day: after getting to sleep at midnight, the front desk called us on the room phone, claiming we reported a beeping alarm (wtf?) After reading other reviews, it must have been someone in ##22 (we were ##21) — those rooms are located next to a laundry chute door with a beeping alarm.
There are some rooms with worse locations … but the one-​bedroom units are nothing to write home about for over $ 200/​night. You can «see» the ocean (technically), but it’s mostly a village view of a sea of balconies, the building lobby and HVAC box. As for «resort» amenities: they provide a bar of soap, and that’s it. No shampoo, wash your own towels and take out your own trash.
We won’t be repeating this experience or recommending to others.

Compared to other hotels in Seaside, it’s a really strong 4. Compared to other WorldMarks, I couldn’t go higher than a 3.
This is the 5^th WorldMark I’ve stayed in, and I thought it was a joke when I was told to expect a sales pitch at check in. Seriously?! No way. It’s never happened to me at other WorldMarks. No, they’ve already got you bought into the whole program, there’s no way that’s going to happen, right?
WRONG!
Not only was there a sales pitch at check in, but we got a phone call in the room a couple days into our stay for another sales pitch! That really turns me off to this whole thing. Have I been lucky before to avoid the pitch at all the other ones I’ve stayed in? Who knows. But I didn’t like it.
Other than the sales, the room was just a bit under normal WorldMark standards. Loved the view (we were on the south side of the building). The faucet in the «guest» bath wouldn’t stay on unless it was in a certain position, the toilet seat wouldn’t stay up, and the TV in one of the «guest» bedrooms had a bunch of vertical lines happening. Minor annoyances. And you had to pay for WiFi? Man.
Yes, it’s a nice room, and amazing that you can get a multi-​unit room on the coast. Yes, it’s right on the beach and most rooms have some kind of view, but it didn’t meet my WorldMark expectations. Take away the sales and make sure the rooms are in good working order and this place could easily be a 5. Or, if it wasn’t a WorldMark and was a regular Seaside spot, it would be a 5 as well.

This place is gorgeous! Very close access to the beach and the Seaside shopping area. My complaints are that the shower pressure in our room was not great, and you had to pay for wi-​fi.

Love this resort! Been here many times. The location couldn’t be better. It’s a great place for a family trip! We rent two three-​bedrooms once a year and take the whole family. It’s within walking distance of everything we want to do and is beachfront.
The only downside is the aggressive salespeople others have mentioned. We’ve learned to cut them off, but people shouldn’t have to deal with having to say no about five times before you can get away from them. And then they stalk you in your room via phone.

Not the greatest of places. Very bad first impression when they make you go talk to the sales people just to get your parking pass. We started walking down the hall instead and a lady literally ran after us telling us we weren’t going to get our pass until we came and talked to them. Whatever — we weren’t doing it and never got towed or a ticket for parking in the garage.
After sitting in the car all day, that’s the last thing I want to do is listen to a sales pitch. Very typical WorldMark resort.
The room was ok besides the bed feeling like you were sleeping on a rock and the shower screaming a very high pitch noise the entire time. You aren’t going to get internet unless you pay also.
It was right on the ocean and clean, only reason for it’s 2 stars.
Overall — given the timeshare thing and the negative aspects of it, it’s a good place in Seaside, but I would rather go to a different city. Seaside is run down, old, and absolutely nothing to do unless play on the beach.
Avoid this place if you can until their staff gets a grip of themselves.

Best Worldmark we’ve visited. Pool open year-​round was nice and warm. Most rooms seem to offer ocean views. Location is awesome, as in-​town as you can get in Seaside.
We had a 3br facing the pool on the 4^th floor and enjoyed the view from the deck. Nice room like many other locations. Well-​built with minimal noise from sides or above.
Pool is very nice — big and fun with two spas and a kiddie pool. Open 8a-​10p and enforced.
Downsides: even if you are an owner, they push you to take their 90-​minute informational. You must visit the sales people if you want your parking pass where they pitch you hard to attend the next day. They also openly sell same on the street to ANY passing make-​female couple.
There is a nice store downstairs selling coffee, snacks, wine, beer, milk etc which is great! Unfortunately it closes at 4:30 — 5:00. Would expect such a place to close at 7:00. Nearest store pen later is Safeway — a big walk or short drive away.
I like this Worldmark and I will return as long as my kids are kids. Once they are grown,

Location can’t be beat. Very cute somewhat of an ocean view, if you step out onto the tiny balcony. Problem is the cleanliness. Master suite had hair in the tub and some other gunk. Second bedroom you could tell sheets had not been changed, they also smelled badly. Second bathroom had cracker crumbs on the floor. Will most likely not waste money here again.

We love coming here. The pool and hot tubs are always warm. Rooms are great. Not crazy about the remodel colors, but it’s all nice and fresh. Kitchen is well stocked. The furnishings are nice.
I do wish that other guest were more mindful of the age requirement for the hot tubs. No kids under 7. They can use the kiddie pool and regular pool. Not to be a grump, but the hot tub is not relaxing when there are a bunch of kids splashing around in there.

Everything was great until a housekeeper walked right into my room unannounced. I am hoping it doesn’t happen very much but it made me wonder! I mean this is supposed to be a resort not a hotel?!
Plus you have to pay for Wi-​Fi

Excellent location! Beachside views are beautiful (poolside is nice, cityside is decent). Spa/​pool (heated) area cannot be beat around here; kids will love it. Apartment/​condo-​style suites feel very homey with full kitchens, individual rooms, private decks, and washer/​dryer combos. Chain hotel-​style interior (certainly not lavish), but no daily hotel housekeeping (just between guests). Friendly, helpful staff but BIG push from sales to get first-​time non-​owner guests to buy into timeshare TODAY. Recommend declining their complimentary breakfast and gift (this is their sales presentation, takes a couple hours). Will consider a return visit if the right units are available for rental (through third party).

Extremely nice. This is my second trip to this location. Very good service, wonderful rooms, HOT TUB and POOL is nice! Amazing location. Highly recommend a visit you will enjoy yourself.
