Inn At the Prom

We stayed in room P10 and it was PERFECT. The view of the boardwalk and ocean was excellent. Our room was equipped with a refrigerator, stove and fireplace. I could live in this room forever. The beach is gorgeous and so peaceful. This is truly a wonderful place to stay.

Do not be fooled by the tricky photography on the website. This hotel has 4 «ocean front» rooms and 4 or 5 cottages in the parking lot behind the «ocean front» rooms. My girlfriend and I had booked a 2 night stay and ended up being put in Cottage 1, which is right next to the street. There was no Air Conditioning in the room and we could not get the fireplace to turn off or stop putting out heat. In addition, it was a warm weekend, so the cottage was like a sauna. When we opened the windows we discovered we could hear in great detail every conversation of the multitudes of people who walked by and could only assume any of them could hear our conversations as well. After a miserable night with the windows closed, we decided to check out after the first night. When we informed the front desk we would be checking out and why, they chose not to refund our money. With all the other options in Seaside that are available, I will stay somewhere else the next time we visit.

Room was nice and clean very friendly people. COULD NOT GET fire place to shut off and the fixes it right away. We really enjoyed our stay.

Not a bad location or room. No A/​C. Right across from the boardwalk. The price was good. Family enjoyed it. They need more things to do around here. Booking one night is plenty. Don’t expect this place to be the Marriott.

This is the 2^nd time we have stayed at the Prom. Love it, very peaceful and clean. Can’t wait to come back.

Great spot at a great price. Parking was super convenient, the room was very comfortable and was really easy to get in and out of when walking around town and to the beach. The rates were great and very cheap compared to surrounding hotels. My ONLY complaint was the tiny TV, it was maybe a 25 inch screen, which is ridiculous given the size of the room.

We are a family of three and this was a perfect location! This is the prime stay in the Pacific North Coast. The bungalow has new appliances, fireplace, and remodeled bathroom. We loved walking on the beach and then coming back to room to eat dinner and watch a movie by the fireplace!

Great place. Had a wonderful time. Suggest not getting a lower floir room. The family above me were extremely noisy and it went on all day and night. Called front desk, but they continued until 1:30 a.m. Everything else was amazing.

We had a car breakdown and needed somewhere to stay short notice. We picked Inn at the Prom because of its proximity to the beach. We stayed in a beachfront room which was perfect. Great view, comfy bed, fireplace, kitchen, jacuzzi tub. We loved it. Walking distance to shops and some stuff to do. I would definitely stay here again.

The location is perfect. We went during the week in the winter before the prices went up. Our accommodations were just right.

We’ve stayed at other Haystack Lodgings down in Cannon Beach on previous trips but decided to change things up for this vacation. The Inn is great. Big comfy bed, great little kitchenette and an amazing view of the ocean. My wife really enjoyed the jetted tub. Walking distance to some great little places like Maggies on the Prom, Seaside Brewing and Seaside Coffee House. We played the lame tourist card one evening and stayed in by the fire and watched The Goonies on DVD borrowed from the office. Basically, a great time as expected from a Haystack Lodging. The only reason for not giving Five stars is the people who apparently frequent Seaside. We started our stay on the last day of Spring Break apparently. We joked that it was the Jersey Shore of the west. Loud music and obnoxious people all over the place on Saturday but, the next few days things quieted down and were really enjoyable. Next time we’ll probably head back to Cannon Beach and just visit Seaside for a day…

I would have given this five stars except for two things: the description said «full kitchen». So I brought things thinking I could cook for the three days I would be there with my husband and two kids for a basketball tournament. What we got was a tiny counter space, with a tiny sink, a microwave and a mini fridge. I would also have liked to see the ocean while we were there. Our room just happened to be one of the ones at the back of the hotel, so all we got was the long walk up a flight of stairs and the view of the city.
The other major thing that got this facility its three star rating was the lodgers next door to us that decided they needed to blast tribal music and their jet tub from ten pm till midnight. When my kids still weren’t asleep at 11, I decided to call the after hours number to get some sort of help with the problem. No answer. I called two different numbers and the front desk and left a message. She didn’t get my message until 9 am the next morning, but we had left for an early morning basketball game and then had to check out by 11. If you’re going to have after hours phone numbers, someone should be on the other end to answer the call. I couldn’t believe how rude the lodgers were to blast music that late at night. I even went next door and knocked and they didn’t hear me.
Overall the room was nice, bed was comfy and the fireplace was nice. But the service needs to be amped up to deal with the little problems that pop up to make the stay exceptional.

Enjoyed a two night weekend stay. This was a first time visit and I was pleasantly pleased. With an ocean front room and views that couldn’t be beat, I couldn’t have asked for much more. The room had a comfortable king-​sized bed, fireplace, small kitchenette, patio, and large jacuzzi tub. The location near the prom was excellent. You check in across the street at the Gilbert Inn. Peggy was a real treat — very pleasant and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Inn at the Prom was a perfect place for us to spend a night at the coast. It is a small little hotel surrounded by large condo buildings on either side. The room was very clean and comfortable, check-​in was easy, and the hotel was quiet.
We enjoyed a glass of wine on the balcony as we looked out on the beach and watched the sun go down. Then we retreated to the comfortable couch when it got too cool outside. We took a bath together in the large tub, then cuddled in the large king size bed as we watched the fireplace. We didn’t make use of the full kitchenette, but it was nice to have the small fridge for our drinks and real wine glasses to enjoy our wine.
We had a nice dinner at Maggies on the prom, just a short walk south of our room on the promenade. The turnaround and main street in Seaside are one block north of the hotel.
Parking is limited but there was space for our car in the side lot. Free public parking is only a half block away if you want to tour downtown Seaside after checking out.
I highly recommend making the walk to the Firehouse Grill for breakfast.
Inn at the Prom was one of the best hotels we’ve stayed at. It will be our first choice the next time we visit Seaside.

We were looking for a quick weekend getaway from the city when I came across this inn on
. We were really looking forward to some time away and were not disappointed!
The staff was friendly and discrete.
Our room was gorgeous! The view was spectacular. Had to keep reminding ourselves it wasn’t a screensaver. The inn Is located directly on the beach and the promenade is right outside the patio. You are less than ½ mile from Broadway, the main drag. It’s full of adorable little shops and restaurants and bars. I recommend hitting happy hours. The lizard lounge has $ 1 beers!
There was a fireplace in our oceanfront room which was awesome! We were able to keep the sliding door open and enjoy the sounds of the water but stay warm at the same time. The weather was a bit dreary but that’s the coast this time of year for ya. There was also a huge jacuzzi tub in the bathroom that was so relaxing to enjoy. Especially with some bath salts from seaside salts on Broadway.
We loved our trip and will absolutely be back with our friends this summer!!!

Amazing location, walking distance to all the shops and beach access right in front of the hotel. Friendly speedy checkin. We stayed in room 6 with no view. Has a mini kitchen that includes dishes; cups, plates, wine glasses. All rooms have a jacuzzi tub that was to die for. Nothin like freezing on the beach to curling up in the tub and turning the fire place on. Found our new fav hotel to stay in when we come to seaside. Prices were great for location.

We had a lovely oceanfront room looking onto the promenade. The room was exactly as described on the website, and the pictures posted here. Check-​in was quick and easy.
The only drawbacks:
–parking is a little tight
–the jets were deactivated in our jacuzzi tub making it simply a large soaking tub
On the plus side:
–movies in the lobby. They also had quite a few TV channels to choose from.
–we couldn’t hear anything from the adjacent rooms unless we had our sliding glass door open to the patio area and our neighbors were outside.
I brought my own coffee and filter because I had read that the room coffee wasn’t great. The kitchen was set up nicely even though we chose to dine out. I would choose this Inn again.

Me and my boyfriend have made it a yearly ritual to go to seaside every year and stay here. We love it here. And the staff remembers us! So friendly and clean and organized. The best part is the bath! I take at least three baths a day when we stay here! Ha! Will keep going back. The little cottages that don’t have a view are amazing. The kitchen is so great.

Absolutely loved it! Took advantage of a Groupon for a two night stay at the Inn at the Prom. We had a cozy 1 bd. cabin with a fireplace, and kitchen… perfect. Cozy, Comfortable, and Quiet.
We will be coming back.

This was the second time I’ve stayed at Inn at the Prom and each time we had an amazing experience. Part of that was due to the hotel and the rest due to the weather.
On this last trip, we were at the beach during a large snow storm and it was amazing to watch the snow hit the sand in one of the ocean view rooms. There are a nice selection of free dvd’s that you can watch, fresh fruit and other amenities in the reception area and some sort of kitchen/​cooking device in every room.
