Matteson and Beers Towing

I can’t say enough good things about this company. My car was recently totaled and towed to Tom’s Automotive on Abrego Street in Monterey. Tom’s used a bait-​and-​switch tactic, first telling me I could give it to them and they would scrap it for free, and later informing me that, actually, I would have to pay them $ 300 to scrap it or $ 50 a day until I moved it. I couldn’t afford the $ 300 payment, so they pushed my totaled car onto the street in a 2 hour parking zone and said it was my problem (for reference, I live an hour away).
I was at my wit’s end when I found Matteson and Beers on Google. I called around 7:30pm and they answered promptly and said they would be over to pick it up free of charge in half an hour. Just around 8pm, they arrived and said they would take the car for free and donate it to a family in need. Not only did they save me hundreds of dollars, but I am happy to know that they will repair the vehicle and that it can still have some use for those in less fortunate circumstances.
All I can say is that this company is run with the utmost integrity, and if I lived closer I would happily work with them again – it might even be worth the drive!

Complete lazy jerks here. Wouldn’t recommend them for anything. Came to collect some things from a trailer that was towed and was told to come back because they’d blocked it in and I couldn’t access it until some guy who was gone could come back to move it. Came back like an hour later at 4:30 and there’s like 4 – 5 people sitting in the office doing nothing and they just tell me nope. They don’t close until 5. Came here twice for nothing. I’m very angry at their rudeness and lazy attitude

This place is a living nightmare if you have had your car towed after an accident.
They left my stuff on the side of the highway and tried to tell me I owed them $ 1500 dollars THE NEXT MORNING!
Several items were never returned (a nice way of saying STOLEN)
After bickering back and forth with «Boss», we settled on 400 and the pink slip for the the vehicle which was essentially totaled.
He knew he didn’t have a foot to stand on-​since I told him I would be filing a police report for the stolen items that HE LEFT OFF THE HIGHWAY! He had to take my offer.
But a lot of wasted time for me.
This place is right out of Dukes of Hazzard — crooked character for crooked character.
What a joke!

Locked keys in the car. Called Matteson because of their close location. Quick, direct, efficient and no attitude when I requested him to confirm my location. He arrived in less than 15 minutes, opened car immediately, handed me my keys, filled out paperwork, paid and on my way. Professional, kind, reliable and just one of those rare, good men in the world. Matteson’s now on speed dial.

Team M&B Towing. recently my alter ego «procrastination» reared its ugly head and my pride and joy, my baby «Hooptina» was impounded. I had the option of paying a $ 125 to sheriffs dept. for earlier release, however I couldn’t even begin to dream of doing that since they just called for me to be towed. so I opted to let my girl sit for 30 days. (I totally. acknowledge my fault in the tow) When the time came for me to pick up my pride, I was a ball of nerves to hear the final bill after 30 days. The owner was more than fair and had all the paperwork I needed when going to d.m.v and I can honestly say, I never would have gotten my car back if not for their assistance. It couldn’t possibly be easy listening to customers pissed off day after day even when most are dead wrong… Costly mistake I made, and thanking God, these guys made my mistake a little more easy to handle…

Just got off the phone with the receptionist. Our car was totaled and she was helpful in letting us know how we should expect to the process with the insurance company would unfold. She was kind, sympathetic, and patient.

I was involved in an accident in Big Sur at sunset. It took Tommy about an hour to get there after he was notified, but when he arrived, had my vehicle on his flatbed very quickly, and gave my father and I a ride up to the Monterey area. During the ride northbound on Hwy 1, Tommy was completely profesisonal and courteous to us. He’s one of the best drivers I’ve ever seen. He gave us a pretty accurate estimate of the total cost which was:
$ 180/​hour @2 hours + $ 55/​day stowage = $ 415
My insurance paid for the tow, so the price didn’t matter in my circumstance. Tommy was even nice enough to drive us to a nearby hotel after dropping off the wrecked car. The next morning they helped us load the vehicle onto a trailer at no cost. I read the other reviews before writing this one and have to say that my experience with Matteson and Beers Towing was 100% professional, courteous, and more than wiling to help my father and I.

Excellent service. Less than 20minute wait, driver called me right away to confirm my location. It was my second attempt at using a tow service, the first company wouldn’t even try because he said it would be too hard to fit his truck in the space available to hook up my car. As I understood, we can’t really pick the places our cars decide to take a dump on us, now can we? The driver from Matteson and Beers handled my situation like a pro, and without even a hint of making me feel like I’d inconvenienced him. So very grateful. Would absolutely recommend their services to friends!

total uncaring– go eff yourself attitude from dispatch. she didn’t even turn down the volume on the TV before answering the phone, let alone turn it Off!
if the city hadn’t authorized these evil people to tow my car — I could’ve loved living my whole life w/​out dealing with that b%^++#.
and before you get mad i seem to be simply angry cuz my car got towed… No.
I’m angriest that the woman had the balls to ask me «WHAT DO U WANT ME TO DO ABOUT IT!!!». and she wasn’t asking. it is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE to treat someone who is FORCED to give u money with a «f@&$ off» attitude

i almost forgot she laughed at me when i asked how much it was going to be because it had been towed in the last hour and she «didn’t have the ticket in front of her»
she said it as if she has zero idea how much towing fees are. laughing at your customers, even if they are customers INVOLUNTARILY is NEVER a good idea! NEVER!
