I needed a really strange shower door seal that required some research and help with the prospect of making about a 2.00 sale … Needless to say other shops in town were less than helpful … At this shop not only did she take the time to help me … She gave me the seal for free and was extremely friendly and courteous… Thanks !

Excellent job on my custom glass shower. Polite and professional. Refreshing to deal with a local family business. I plan on hiring them for any glass needs!

I ordered a sheet of glass that needed to be tempered from a woman at A Strouse & Son and she told me it would take 4 days to get and that she would phone me when it arrived and she had my business office phone number. After 10 days I had not heard from the glass company and I phoned and asked about my order. The young lady said that she had called and left a message. As my business uses AT&T’s centrex voice mail service we do not lose voicemail messages and she did not leave one for me. It was difficult to talk with her as she has a small child that was crying and as close to the phone as she was. I drove down to Seaside from Prunedale and when I arrived I was greeted by two dogs with one of them barking loudly at me. She eventually put the dog in a back room. I told her I had not gotten a message and she said that she had left to go out of town and had phoned everyone on the list. Evidently I was not on that list. She offered no apology. I paid for the glass and then she said it was in the shop so we went out to look for my piece of glass. The special order glass was blocked by a water hose cart and her baby car seat and baby stroller but eventually we got to the tempered glass sheets where upon she found my sheet behind several ½ thick sheets of glass and told me that she could not move them nor allow me to move them to get to my piece of glass. She simply«you will have to come back», and never included the word«sorry» which does not appear to be in her vocabulary. I told this young woman that glass was glass and a company stays in business by providing customer service. She then said«I have been in business for 36 years» which seemed odd considering that she was not even 36 years of age. She said the owner was her father which explained why she had not been fired with her terrible attitude and surly manner. I have bought a couple hundred thousand dollars in glass and installation service in my career in the SF bay area and worked with a dozen glass companies and never dealt with anyone like this woman, not even close. She clearly resents being at the shop and takes it out on customers without hesitation.
