Huge portions and delicious food! If they have totchos on a special, get them! So good! Can’t wait to come back!

Went there last night 6÷10÷16. Apparently summer does start until July 4^th so they did NOT have any craft beers. Regular beer selection was limited and only 2 beers on tap. Please was empty. Our table of 7 accounted for half the people in the dining room. Above being said, food was delicious. Spare ribs appetizer had a nice, sweet Korean BBQ sauce and the hush puppies were crusty on the outside but nice and moist on the inside. All the guys liked their burgers and my crab cake sandwich was all crab but they forgot the sauce. Waitress was very pleasant.

Great food. Nice calm atmosphere that differs from the hustle and bustle of the boardwalk. Attentive, helpful and nice waiting staff. Would visit again.

We were pleasantly surprised at how yummy this place was. The BBQ combo platter WA well received by one of our friends. A good selection of BBQ without being glutinous! I had salad which was fresh and filling.

i wish this place had more publicity; it’s so underrated! i discovered it on Unilocal while browsing for good bbq around lavallette, and was not disappointed in the slightest. from the unique appetizers to the chop shop burger, i’m completely obsessed.

Closed more than an hour early because it was a «slow evening». If this is the case then change the hours listed.

This place is by far the best place in seaside the food and service is amazing are very reasonably priced hands down best dinner I’ve had this whole vacation will def come back again the wings fell off the bone and the garlic mashed potatoes are amazing

Favorite BBQ joint at the shore hands down. Brings this Carolina boy back home. I’ve had almost everything on the menu and the specials are always interesting and delicious! Beer game is on point.

Skip the boardwalk restaurants where the wait is 1.5 hrs and walk a couple of blocks to eat here instead. It was nice and quite away from the crowds around 7:30 on a Saturday night. Waited for about 10 mins for a table with a large group. 13 of us but we got split up.
After reading reviews I suggested we try the corn fritters. We also ordered buffalo wings and clams for starters. Everything was delicious. Corn fritters were whole kernels in a batter and fried, lightly sweet and delicious. Came with mustard for dipping. The clam broth had lots of flavor I would suggest asking for extra bread for dipping. Buffalo wings were good but for my liking a touch too salty. Almost tasted like 50% BBQ and 50% buffalo sauce.
I went with the brunch burger that came with American cheese, bacon, a fried egg and smashed fries. The burger was cooked perfectly medium rare. It was thick and juicy, paired with a fried egg with a runny yolk = very messy but worth it for its deliciousness. Fries on the burger was a little unnecessary because you get fries on the side. I’ve had a lot of burgers in my life and this was one of the best I’ve had. Burger was $ 13.
I was at a table with 8 people we got 4 apps, 6 pitchers of beer and entrees (all burgers and sandwiches) with tax and tip came to $ 30 a person. The prices are reasonable here, yeah $ 13 for a burger may seem a little steep, but it was great. Our waitress was very friendly and we all left stuffed.

This should not be listed as a gastropub, this is nothing more than a diner that severs some BBQ. Had Brisket sandwich it was all fat, Don’t know how it get’s a 4 star rating. Maybe cause people are hung over and enjoy their breakfast.

Great place for barbecue at the jersey shore. Went on a Sunday night so the crowds were low. Food took a little longer to prepare than normal… But was well worth it! And provided enough food for leftovers the next day for lunch.

The food was delicious! Down here for a week’s vacation. Unilocal pulled through with a great choice here! First off the salads are all freshly prepared– I mean I could tell that the dressings are fresh as welll. I had the Chop Salad with lemon vinegarett, with blueberries, candied pecans, Gorgonzola cheese — absolutely delicious! Just the right amount of dressing. Then the barbecue sampler was great too — their baked beans (their own recipe — was outstanding!) fresh crunchy coleslaw (not sitting around in a plastic container). My husband had the Cesar salad and the sampler as well. Only downside was the meal took longer than normal to arrive to our table. Kitchen problem not the waitstaff. Our server was attentive and friendly. Took a picture of my meal and texted it to my brother-​in-​law. I believe he’ll be going here this week as well.

Great BBQ, atmosphere, and staff! The burgers and sandwiches are delicious, not to mention the pig candy! You HAVE to try it! The Hershey Pub is right next door with cold beers on tap and a great selection of craft beers.

Wow, very impressed.
Had the free breakfast that came along with staying at the Hershey hotel. Didn’t expect much but the basic American Breakfast was great. Just as simple as a great piece of toast non-​greasy home fries and perfectly cooked eggs with a great cup a coffee and I was impressed and needed to back for dinner.
Hung out at the bar which had a top notch beer selection, great Bartender (Melissa, I believe her name was, who was great at conversation while taking care of everybody) and friendly locals who bought us a shot!
So then we had dinner, from the Bun to the veggie side my Jalapano Burger was fantastic !
Cooked perfect, great surprising flavors and I felt great afterwards (always a mark of decent ingredients).
I live in Boston and we got some great food up here to choose from, but I really this place was in my neighborhood.

Ok first, service was horrid. Extremely nice waitress just super slow! Food… I had the Cuban sandwich and my boyfriend had the wings. Both are incredibly dry… It has potential to be really good but they need to make it juicy or have it soak in some kind of sauce. I would like to see them do well so please understand the constructive criticism. Hope the owner reads this!

Since we eat at the Chop Shop often, we decided to have them cater a party for us on the premises. I was blown away. Keith prepared a fantastic menu for our 70 guests and the wait staff was on point. It was delicious and everyone was very accommodating. I still have friends and family telling me how much they enjoyed the food. Couldn’t be happier! And now that I’m writing this review I am suddenly ravenous for some Chop Shop. Awesome!

I have to make this quick, not much battery time left. We sat outside, we enjoyed friendly prompt service, we really liked our meals! Perfect place for us, not expensive, and to watch the fireworks. Could be a little cleaner inside, but I just found an outdoor outlet to charge my phone. Ok, 5 stars now to help boost their rating.

We stopped in yesterday after looking for a place we haven’t yet been to in the area. How can we go wrong with BBQ? You really can’t. This place had some great food. Attached to a hotel, it’s right on one of the main drags. Easily accessable with parking on the side.
When we walked in, we noticed it had more of a diner feel to it than a BBQ joint. No matter, if the food is good who really cares? We also noticed that there was 1 waitress/​hostess/​cashier. On a Monday afternoon, I realize it’s not that busy, but this will come into play in a bit.
We sat down and looked at the drinks menu (Yes they have alcohol). The girl working came over to take our drink orders, I $h*& you not, I asked for 6 different beers on the menu and they were all out. I finally found a can of Liney Shandy that was actually in stock.
We ordered the corn fritters to start. They were absolutely delicious. A bit hot (temp wise), but I couldn’t stop. We polished them off and were ready for our amazing burgers. I got the Chop Burger, which is a burger made from brisket, short rib and I think pork, whatever it’s insanely good. The burger is topped with bbq sauce, pulled pork and candied bacon. It was cooked to perfection and huge. My fiancée had the Brunch Burger, same meat patty with regular bacon, a sunny side up egg and french fries smashed onto the burger. We loved the meal.
Now, here was the bit of a problem. Besides not having most of the beers on menu in stock, as well it not being terribly busy, the service could have been much better. I mean the girl was nice and all, but she was alone, besides the cook. There were 3 tables. A large group of young twenty somethings, us and two older women. The girl got wrapped up in conversation with the younger table, neglecting the others. She forgot to get us some condiments, because of being preoccupied. Maybe just one more dining room person, would have really helped.

Very simple and clean. Great food. Traditional items then food kicked up a notch such as PB & J Burger. And pig candy! Tori was personable, attentive and friendly, a true pleasure!
