Greulich’s

I planned to sue this company unfortunately I had to leave the state to assist my sister with a issue of cancer but I’m back and I still have a few months to sue. In June my car would not start so I had it towed to this shop because we were referring customers to them at a store I was managing so I thought they were reliable.
They told me it was the coil and should take a few days. The following week it wasn’t the coil but the CPU, week after that the module on the coil. after a Month of me struggling to find transportation they said it was done. turned out to be what they thought at first. however they didn’t mind charging me for the month of exploratory work. In addition they replaced one spark plug and one injector.
Keep in mind I own a car from 1999 not 2019. I went to pick up the car to find my car outside, windows down, unlocked, and dirty. A necklace and cellphone used for emergency calls was missing… they knew I was coming and when I asked for the keys they had to search for them. I was charged almost $ 800 for $ 350 job that took one month. In addition my stereo needed a code, they said call the dealer. I needed the code off the top of the stereo, they said bring it in they would get it for me. I was looking at my engine and something wasn’t right (I keep my car in almost new condition since I bought it at 37 000 miles)
I saw the wiring harness cover was missing, and when I brought it up they told me it was so decayed they removed it. I asked them why didn’t tell me about it or offer to replace it, I received no answer. To their benefit, Adam did apologize.
I contacted contacted the Vice President of the company and also spoke with the shop manager. After speaking with the new manager he was very apologetic and said he would take the information to the vice president for a decision of what to do. Several emails later with the Vice President I received an email explaining how unfortunate my situation was and they would be happy to give me a couple free oil changes for my trouble. I know I could have went in screaming and threatening but that’s not me and why can a business do the right thing? Just because I stayed calm throughout this ridiculous process does not allow them to dismiss me. I am now consulting a attorney for my options.

These guys were fantastic. My car didn’t pass emissions when I was right down the street at the MVD center. I gave them a quick call and spoke with Mike. He said it was likely just a fuse problem. I brought it by and they swapped it out in less than ten minutes — for free. Brought it back over to the MVD and my car passed without any hiccups. Very surprised by their customer service and would highly recommend them!

Car was towed in dead. They replaced the alternator and battery. They were very professional and provided me with a ride to and from work. Repair was done quickly and got me back on the road later that same day.

these guys are AMAZEballs … Adam is super courteous and always makes mee feel welcome at the shop which is totally important since you can spend extended periods of time there on occasion waiting for your 4 wheeled baby back. I recently moved to Tempe HOWEVER i still make my way back to this location & this shop because Jeffery always does a great job on my car and I have a pretty great time while I’m waiting– more so than any other shop I’ve been stuck at twirling my thumbs in a corner by myself for an hr+. this is FAMILY owned and seriously who doesn’t love that?!? these guys do quality work at awesome prices! they have saved my ass on more than 1 occasion and they work with mee on the price which means the world to a gal like mee. thanks guys! keep up the good work!

I had only an oil change and tire rotation and no repairs so this is a review for the oil change. They were prompt, friendly and quick, I was in and out in one hour with both services. I have a newer car (2011) so I wasn’t expecting any major repairs just minor things. I felt like I was in good hands.

Team (especially Adam) is great to work with and listens to what sort of service I’m asking for… no more, no less. Pricing/​cost has been better than dealer where we bought the car. Even though they don’t provide free of cost rental cars if the repairs are going to take too long, they will shuttle you back and forth to home if you don’t live to far away. Will use again.

I have been going to this location for about a year now and have had a variety of services done on my car. Needless to say I have been dissatisfied with the quality of work and level of professionalism. I figured I would give them a second and third chance but I was wrong. I had some work done on my car and brought it back because the parts were under warranty and the manager basically told me to go elsewhere. I’m highly disappointed and will no longer continue to give them any business. Don’t bother taking your car here because you will be disappointed too.

took me in on short notice (that was great) after that, not so much.
had work done, i was specific about the job being done and when i got the car back, the specific concern was not done properly. i didnt even bother going back in i was pissed. i called them after a week to bring it to their attention, i was asked to bring it back so they could make it right. HA! took them forever to get to the car as i patiently waited. finally got the car looked at after an hour, and the mechanic came back to say that the reason i was having the problem i was having was because of another part going bad. now, im very car savy and i dont ever tell these people this, but ya know what, you really shouldnt try to make smart people look dumb, you never know how much they know. i said fine, let me get out of here. took the car to dealer to have them double check the part and IT WAS FINE! absolutely nothing wrong with a part i know i replaced 5 years ago. they went on to point out other things they felt were wrong or not necessary on the car and how i should replace them. blah blah blah. i let them talk their talk knowing perfectly well that ive had this car for 7 years and it has never ever been an issue, and has performed exactly the way it is supposed to. in short, IM NOT GOING BACK! a $ 60 simple job that was all the sudden a $ 1400 job. someone needed money.

Won’t be back. Had an 11am appt. and its now 12:30 and my cat STILL isn’t done. Why make an appt.??

This place is a ripoff. Way too much money for the half assed work they do and they prance around acting like they know what they’re doing. Unless you have more money than brains, take it somewhere else.

I, like I’m sure many of you, so loathe going to an unknown mechanic.
This is actually my 2^nd time to Greulich’s. I can’t vouch for the other locations but I will this one. The 1^st time I came here they replaced a bolt on my wheel that Discount Tire had messed up at no charge, they also did a free balance and wheel alignment for me! Talk about making an impression on 1^st visit.
So today I returned, this time for an oil change and to check out my AC, which hasn’t been blasting cold air per se right off that bat… So I went to their website and they have lots of coupons all in PDF. (Hint-​Print the whole thing out if you go and need multiple services, they are cool about it.)
So I tell them I need an oil change and to also check the AC. Now mind you this is like a dealership so you aren’t in and out. Plan on being there an hour. If you want fast and furious, look elsewhere. I had the time so hence why I went and I trust these guys. I’ve had many of Jiff Lube type places screw up my car so no thanks.
Anyway, with synthetic my bill (after a very nice discount, see below) came to about $ 55. Back in Georgia at a fast lube place I was paying $ 80. They come out and tell you what’s up straight and matter of fact. I’ve seen shady people at auto places and I assure you, these guys are on the up and up.
They did say I likely needed Freon and a system recharge. Which I agreed it probably did but nonetheless, I’m not dying right now, it’s not that bad. No pressure, they said ok, cool. Just letting you know. It’s like a doctor saying, «hey, you have the onset of this, that, whatever we can deal with it now or whatever, you are getting by, up to you…» type attitude. I like that approach.
Anyway, this review is way longer than I thought it would be but I’d definitely take your car there if you want high quality service.
For you golf fans, they have a putting green outside and they provide good putters and golf balls! TV with DirecTV inside, bottled water and coffee and magazines while you wait.

They are super expensive, No I mean ULTRA EXPENSIVE.
They’ll find an entire pecking list of things, that they’ll suggest, you let them repair or service.
I wouldn’t go anywhere near this location, or any of their other multiple locations.

I had a very poor experience here. My car was over heating and had to get it towed in to the nearest repair shop. I dealt with Cliff and explained to him of the problems and concern. They charged me over a thousand dollars to replace a radiator thermostat and hoses. They over charged me about an hour and a half on labor and failed to fix the problem. Then stating i blew a head gasket. I then towed my car out to another shop. MILE AUTO REPAIR in Tempe and they found that they didn’t properly bleed the cooling system. I will never go to Greulichs again. They don’t know what they are doing over there.

Mediocre job. Got my Porsche 911 repaired there, service was «OK» car needed a simple front bumper fix no structural work– They ordered a new OEM front bumper for my car, and installed the 3M clear bra on it (my old damaged front bumper also had 3M clear bra)
Upon receiving the car, i noticed after a couple of days that the bumper color did not match correct, its silver (ofcourse not an easy color to match) I’m a reasonable guy & i understand that brand new paint on plastic will not look the exact same as older paint on metal… but there is a clear difference very noticeable to anyone, the color on the bumper is a shade lighter than the rest of the car.
I went to the shop, spoke with the manager & he tried to convince me its because of the 3M clear bra, i had the bra on my damaged bumper & there was no difference in color, 3M is clear– doesn’t reflect, sun, ect & even if so the color should not be that noticable.
I went to 2 other shops which confirmed the color could have been matched much better, called Greulichs, emailed their customer service & gave them many chances to take care of this issue, but got no help, so have no other choice but to post online.
In conclusion if your a car guy & care alot about your car, specially if your an enthusiast do not get your car fixed there, job is mediocre, i’m not driving a pinto, i’m driving a porsche which i worked very hard to buy & maintain.

Great service, fast and friendly. They were honest with me as far as what needed to be fixed immediately and what could wait. I haven’t had a problem since, thanks Greulich’s!
