Our specialty is hand made custom designed picture frames including modern and historic hand carved and gilded frames that are totally customizable as to finish style and even carving details. A fine frame should enhance artwork while protecting the art from damage from the environment. We provide some of the most original frames available in the Southwest.

Fine art custom frame makers since 1978, we are a family owned picture framing business located in Scottsdale’s fine arts district. Our professionalism and expertise have made us the custom framer of choice for Arizona’s most discriminating collectors of fine art. We serve artists, museums, collectors, interior designers and corporations with high quality craftsmanship and materials, as well as an emphasis on the proper preservation of artwork. We have earned many accreditation’s and are members of Fine Arts Care and Treatment Standards Guild, PPFA, and the Society of Gliders.

History

Established in 1978.

We began our business as a do-​it-​yourself picture frame store in South Scottsdale. As our client’s needs changed, our focus evolved away from the craft aspect into the preservation of higher quality artworks. By the early 1980’s we changed our business model. We have moved the business 4 times, finally finding our perfect location in 1995. We purchased a free standing building right in the heart of the downtown Scottsdale fine arts district. We are within a few blocks of some of the most modern and trendsetting art galleries in the Southwest. We offer a selection of the finest custom picture frames anywhere. We show over 6000 different frame styles, which coupled with our matting and glazing options provide our clients with millions of different possibilities. Our job is to make the design process as easy as possible, by helping to limit the choices to the best looks which fit into our client’s budget. Our experience makes this process fun.

I have been involved in the art and framing industry since 1975, first as a sales rep and for the last 32 years as an owner of Framers Workshop, a Scottsdale fine art picture framing studio located in Scottsdale’s downtown arts district.

My expertise is in designing better framing treatments which highlight and enhance your artwork while strictly adhering to conservation and preservation principles. I have been fortunate to surround myself with passionate individuals who care about our customer’s needs as much as I do.
