We Specialize in No-Stitch Cataract Surgery & Femtosecond laser surgery.
This technology allows the Doctor to use a very short wavelength laser to make the needed incisions. This technique is safer, more precise, and shortens the surgery time. Dr. Dennis is one of the few ophthalmologists certified for femtosecond laser surgery in the State of Arizona!
History
Established in 1972.
William Robert Kilpatrick, MD founded Scottsdale Eye Physicians & Surgeons, PC in 1972. He practiced ophthalmology in Arizona until he retired in 1992. WRJK’s spirit lived on through his sons, who continue their father’s tradition of serving local and international patients. His eldest son, William R. Kilpatrick, MD joined the practice in 1977 and retired March 2015. His youngest son, Dennis L. Kilpatrick, MD joined Scottsdale Eye Physicians & Surgeons in 1985 after completing his residency at the University of Texas Southwestern, in Dallas. Candria Meharry, OD joined the practice February 2015. Dr. Meharry completed her Doctorate of Optometry at Southern California College of Optometry in 2010 and has practiced in Las Vegas, New York, and Scottsdale. Dr. Kilpatrick and Dr. Meharry work together as a team to provide our patients with premium eye care.

Business Owner
Dr. Dennis Kilpatrick graduated from the University of Arizona in Tucson. He interned at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas and completed his residency at the University of Texas Southwestern, also in Dallas. He is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, American Academy of Ophthalmology, Phoenix Ophthalmologic Society, and Arizona Ophthalmologic Society. Dr. Dennis joined Scottsdale Eye Physicians & Surgeons in 1985. He practices general ophthalmology and non-stitch cataract surgery. Through Dr. Dennis, Scottsdale Eye Physicians & Surgeons is one of only a handful of practices performing both femtosecond laser surgery for cataracts and OptiPlus, which allows instant assessments of the patient’s vision during cataract surgery.
