Advanced Fertility Care

I’m going to try and write this review to the best of my ability without letting my emotions get the best of me. I started seeing dr Z in early 2015. I have been trying to conceive for over 8 years, all I have ever wanted in life was to become a mother. I did some online research and hoped that I can come across a doctor that was highly recommended by others. he was one of the few names with a really good reputation. I went ahead and set up a consultation which cost me $ 300. the consultation lasted about 30 minutes and he quickly went through the procedures they had to offer, he suggested we move forward with IUI first and then if that fails we would move forward to IVF and he pulled out the payment packets. he proceeded to tell me that there was no doubt in his mind I would be pregnant by that August 2015.
We moved forward with starting the tests. First we did an ultrasound and then we did the hsg test and blood work. Everything came back normal for me and my partner. he said I had what is called «unexplained infertility». We moved forward with IUI, failed. 2^nd IUI, failed. At this point with tests and two failed IUIs, we were about $ 5,000 in. Me and my partner decided to wait and save up for IVF. We didn’t want to waste our money on another iui. we figured it wasn’t going to work for us. it took us about four months to save for IVF to pay it in full and in cash, our insurance covered nothing.
He put me on birth control, the month of IVF I went in for an ultrasound, when he discovered I had polyps in my uterus. We went ahead and scheduled surgery which would cost me almost $ 1,800. The day of the surgery I arrived, they had me fill out paperwork and pay for the procedure up front and in advance. I go back into the room, a he puts me under with anesthesia and wakes me back up not even 5 minutes later. As I’m sitting there dizzy from the anesthesia I can just hear him talking to my partner. Telling him that there was complications, he briefly discussed with my partner what had went wrong. He told me that he couldn’t talk to me because I was under the influence and I wouldn’t understand. He went ahead and called me the next day and proceeded to tell me that the surgery had to be cancelled because of complications. I asked him what the complications were and he said that HE poked my uterus and started to bleed so he couldn’t see what he was doing. He mentioned it had to be terminated and that my uterus would have to heal and two weeks later I can come back and redo the surgery. I agreed. Little did I know that having to come back and do the surgery that he messed up I had to pay the almost $ 1,800 AGAIN. Before I could even schedule a second surgery I received a bill for almost $ 700 for the anesthesia. I received a phone call to schedule for my surgery but never to ask how I was doing, how I was feeling or anything else other than to get me in their office to proceed with another surgery.
Now, I understand the policy and what I signed. What I’m going through is very sensitive and special. Ive given this doctor over $ 10,000 already and I feel the respect isn’t there. I’m not treated as a woman who wants a child, he’s treating me like a cash machine. Not once when I was ever in his office did he make me feel like a true patient. He didn’t come off as wanting to build a relationship with me. He would talk quickly, he would talk as I’d I knew his lingo, but I didn’t. I would always seem to leave with more questions than answers.
I decided not to move forward with dr. z. I asked myself how I could let this man whose hand isn’t even gentle enough to properly inject the medication into my uterus, transfer an embryo. I couldn’t get myself to pay him over $ 18,000 to try.
Congratulations to all the women who have successfully conceived with this doctor. He does have some amazing reviews, unfortunately my experience was different.

We have used Dr Larsen at Advanced Fertility Care on two occasions. The staff are wonderful and the level of care from Dr Larsen and Dr Zoneraich is far superior than other experiences that we’ve had when doing fertility treatment before. It is a very personal practice where attention is given to you as the patient from the Drs at all visits. Would recommend them any day.

We’ve been on our infertility journey since 2009. Advanced Fertility Care is the 4^th fertility Drs office we went to. We LOVE them! I will never go anywhere else. They are the whole package. In our early experiences with other offices, we found the hands off approach frustrating. We saw Drs at consultations but all treatments and ultrasounds were done by nurse practitioners. Decisions were frequently made by nurse practitioners. We thought this was normal care — it’s not! I have never been seen by a nurse practitioner at Advanced Fertility Care. In fact I don’t even think they have one. You will always be seen by Dr Larsen or Dr Zoneraich unless you are only there for a blood draw. Also at other offices we spent hours in the waiting room. Anyone who has had fertility care knows you have to go to a LOT of appointments. I’ve seen Dr Larsen for over 3 years now and I have never waited longer than 10 minutes in the waiting room. In fact I rarely have time to pull up Facebook on my phone before they are calling me back. Talk about REFRESHING! Dr Larsen and Dr Zoneraich listen. They spend time with you. You can tell they care about you and you are given individualized care. Their staff is incredible. They are on the ball and have never made a mistake with my care. They are polite and sensitive and truly perfection. They are the reason we have our beautiful daughter and now another one on the way. We wish we had found them sooner. Thank you Dr Larsen, Dr Zoneraich and your staff for being a wonderful breath of fresh air in the fertility world.

We cannot say enough about AFC. We started our infertility journey at another practice and had a horrible experience. After starting with AFC, everything changed. Dr. Larsen took time to listen and was truly aware of our needs and feelings. We cannot thank him enough. We have a beautiful son and are over the moon.

I’ve waited quite awhile to write my review, but since I just recommended this office to a friend, I figured it was time. We are currently 18 weeks pregnant with our IUI baby!
I’ve never had a male doctor before, and due to having to do the steps by a schedule, I got the pleasure of working with both Dr Z and Dr Larsen. I loved them both. I wish they could be my OB for this entire pregnancy.
Everyone at all the offices (we went to all 3) is so nice. They remembered us, and were very welcoming. The longest we ever had to wait was probably 20 minutes. Considering I now wait over an hour to see my regular OB, I miss this office dearly. Each office is clean, decorated nicely, and they have the most up to date technology.
We were walked through each step thoroughly, and I appreciated that we weren’t just a number. Everyone took the time to make sure we understood what was going on and that we didn’t have any questions before leaving. The first test I did, I had read horrible things about on the internet. Due to the radiation, my husband could not come back into the room with me during the test. I was bawling when Dr. Z and his nurse came in. They calmed me down and assured me it wasn’t anything like I’d heard. I figured they were just trying to get me through this, but when the test was done, and I realized they had actually told the truth, it restored my faith in doctors. He made me as comfortable as possible and the testing was a breeze. Both doctors always remembered us, and asked us about other things going on in our lives. I like having some kind of a relationship with someone who is helping us with such an intimate part of our lives.
We ended up going the IUI route and got lucky on our very first try. I cannot thank the entire team enough for being with us on this journey and helping us get to where we want to be. If we decide we would like to add to our family again, I won’t hesitate to come back!

I first met with Dr. Z back in 2007 after several years of TTC. Can I just say how amazing he is?! From the very beginning, he was open, honest, and friendly. We were diagnosed with MFI and his recommendation was for an IVF/​ICSI cycle. That was completely out of pocket for us so we took a year, saved up the $$, and came back in 2008. Ran all of the tests again, same results so we proceeded with our IVF cycle. Throughout the entire cycle, Dr. Z and his staff were always available to us for any questions and communicated clearly on what was going on at each stage. In May 2009, we welcome our daughter to our family. The following year, we got our surprise BFP and welcomed our son to our family. Every year, we go to the Resolve events and every time, Dr. Z remembers us. I have recommended him to several friends as well — some who have had success like us and some who haven’t but we all agree, he is the BEST!

We arrived to this office after a bad experience somewhere else and I have to say that it was a complete change! I love this office! The doctors are amazing, the staff is friendly. They helped us to fulfill the dream of having a baby. Now we have a healthy 1yr old little girl. Totally recommend them.

Dr. Zoneraich and Dr. Larson are both amazing! They walk you through every step of the way during the fertility process with compassion and understanding. I knew from the moment I met them and their staff that my husband and I had made the right choice. I wish there was a 10 star rating because I can’t even describe how grateful I am to them for helping us to create our little miracle. I will thank him and God every day for the rest of my life for our beautiful baby. No words can describe the amount of happiness they have given us with our baby and will absolutely be going back to them when its time to try for our second little miracle. I would recommend them to anyone in need for fertility assistance hands down. They really are simply the best!

The staff at AFC is amazing. The personal attention given is really unbelievable. My husband and I had a rough road, and I was referred to Dr. Zoneraich by my OBGYN. We became pregnant through IUI but unfortunately had an ectopic pregnancy. It was honestly the most devastating experience we had endured. After removing the tube, we realized our chances were even more slim and decided to go with IVF. It is such an emotional, expensive, and difficult decision to make… but I honestly felt like the level of compassion and concern by Dr. Z and his staff was exceptional. I am a control freak so I had a million questions. They would answer my emails within an hour typically, and always helped me no matter how crazy my questions were (Hormones can make you crazy during this process!) We had difficult decisions to make throughout the entire process (cancer scare, limited eggs, etc), and Dr. Z was completely engaged and involved in helping us with those concerns, and gave us true advice even when it may not have been what we wanted to hear at that point! We did our first IVF treatment, and on Christmas Eve the entire staff called us on speaker phone to let us know that our pregnancy test came back positive. It was so sweet! Our daughter was born August 25^th perfectly healthy and a true blessing.
I know it may seem that a positive review comes from a successful pregnancy and healthy baby– but I will say that even if I did not have the happy ending, I could have walked away from this 100 percent knowing that Dr Zoneraich, Dr Larsen, and the entire staff at AFC did everything they could in their power to help us. The attention to details, personalized care, and heartfelt dedication to their cause truly makes them the best in the business. They are my angels and I am grateful for the care of AFC every single day!

Where do I even start? The staff at Advanced Fertility was amazing and I never would have gotten to where I am today without them. Let me start from the beginning… I first went to them about 2 years ago. I had already stared my treatments at a different clinic where I had spent tons of time and tons of money. After a «failed» cycle I took a few weeks off and called my clinic to get stated on my next cycle only to find out my doctor, whom I enjoyed working with, had left the practice and I would need to start all over with a different doctor. I was devastated and so upset with my clinic. But that’s an entire different story… We decided that we needed to find a new clinic. I called Advanced Fertility and they got me in right away. My first appointment was with Dr. Larson who sat both of us down and spent a good hour and half educating us on all my records that they had received from my old clinic. I left there with so much hope. I just knew somehow this clinic was going to help me get pregnant.
Next I met Kristen who sat down and answered every questions we had about the finance not to mention was so incredibly sweet and helpful to me. Again I left a meeting feeling like I had picked a clinic that was going to help me every step of the way. Following this meeting I met Bethany, Jen, Stephanie and Sherry (my embryologist) and all the other ladies that along with Kristen and Dr. Larson would make up my support group for the next year. I did have the chance to work with Dr. Z a few times and he was wonderful as well. They answered every question, they replied to every panic email they were all much more then just a fertilely clinic they became a part of my family!
I recommend this clinic for every family out there that is looking for answers and looking to finally bring home there «take home baby». I have a very long and exciting road ahead of me but for now what I want to say is thank you to the entire staff at Advanced Fertility for all your love and care!

Our experience here was terrible on many levels. I felt dissatisfied on many occasions during my time there, but I didn’t realize what I was truly missing until I began treatment with a different and wonderful doctor. My list of complaints is varied, so I will limit this review to my primary concerns.
1. Dr. Z. offered to unplug a problematic tube via anesthesia and scalpel, but my new doc opened it within a routine HSG exam that was painless and took literally seconds.
2. My new doc informed us that the medications I was prescribed were not appropriate for me and somewhat archaic. We had issues with follicle growth and a medication I was prescribed is known to inhibit growth
3. We opted for an IVF cycle with AFC, which went terribly wrong. The worst part was that we were never told it was going wrong until our post IVF consultation. That’s like having your mechanic wait until after your car accidident to tell you he knows your brakes don’t work properly. Dr. Z was getting my blood test results while another doctor was doing all of my ultrasounds, and apparently the two doctors were not communicating their findings to each other. During each ultrasound, I was told how wonderfully things were progressing and how I had an amazing number of follicles. However, my blood work was clearly indicating that those follicles would never grow. I absolutely would have stopped the cycle and started over with a medical protocol that had a chance to work if I had known. I spent my life savings on an office that DID NOT take good care of me.
We ended up with only one embryo which did not survive. I just finished an IVF cycle with another doctor in Tempe and we have 15 embryos. That’s a 1500% improvement. If you are looking for a doctor PLEASE shop around! It’s is an important and highly emotional time when you deserve the very best treatment possible. In my opinion, you won’t get the best treatment with AFC.

I have waited a long time to put a review for this place out. It is not a subject a lot of people talk about and it isnt easy to talk about especially letting the world know about your personal problems. But here it goes…
I cannot give this place less than 5 stars. If it wasn’t for Dr Zoneriach and his staff, I would not have this beautiful baby. I thank him every day. I have no words that can express my gratitude. I think he is the best fertility doctor in the valley.
His office is located in Scottsdale. It is very easy to call and make an appointment. The first one may be booked out a few weeks, but be patient. They are very organized and get your labs and diagnostic tests done efficiently. You meet with the Dr for about 30 minutes and go over your history. He then makes a plan for you and tells you what you need to.
It is stressful being in the situation where you need to go to this type of Doctors office, and they make the process a little less stressful for you. If you need this type of service, please check him out. Even if you do not choose him, make sure you check fertility rates online and compare the doctors. I did not know about these statistics and spent waay more money than I needed to.

It’s hard for me to put myself out there like this, but the incredible blessings they give to others is unparalleled to any I know. For some, the services might be considered expensive if it’s coming out of pocket, but I feel that the price is more than appropriate considering the level of care and attention to their patients. I’ve been through an infertility journey for more than 5 years and finally we are pregnant. My care has been in the best hands and we have so much gratitude for Zoneraich and his staff.

I’ve been waiting awhile to write this review… I contemplated whether I wanted to share the fact that I went to a fertility specialist with more than close friends and family, but I think it’s only fair to share how wonderful Dr Zoneraich and his staff are. I know that many people struggle with infertility, and once you go down that road, there are many directions you can go in.
From the moment I met Dr Z, I knew I was in good hands. I went in initially for some tests, and I was pleased by his bedside manner. From there, I had several additional tests and a couple of consultations, and each visit, I left completely satisfied with the professionalism of the AFC staff. Specifically, Molly and Jen were incredible to work with — they were friendly as can be and made me feel comfortable. I could never ask too many questions and everyone was thorough with explanations of procedures, etc… each step of the way. Not to mention, I did my research, and Advanced Fertility Care has the highest success rates with IVF around!
We planned on proceeding with IVF, but miraculously, we didn’t need to do that… we got pregnant naturally! I give some credit to Dr Z and his staff for this nonetheless. I cannot recommend this office enough. If you’re thinking of seeing a fertility specialist, look no further. Go see Dr Z and tell him I say hello!

I have been receiving treatment for PCOS and infertility by Dr Zoneraich now for several months. He started out by looking at my previous testing and then recommended we do a «diagnostic» cycle which was pretty pricey as his lab is not in network with my insurance but once the lab work was done I did submit receipts and get reimbursed from my ins co. He diagnosed our fertility issues then suggested IUI he did not push for the more expensive IVF which I felt was very honest of him. We are about to do our second IUI in 2 days. Our first round of IUI we had 2 inseminations done. One Dr Zoneraich did personally the other was completed by one of his staff. I don’t know who is doing this next one but I feel confident in his staff. Overall I’d say he’s a good dr I have not had any problems with his office and his staff (Molly, Michelle etc.) have all been great to us. Billing has not been an issue. Also, Michelle has dealt with the insurance on our behalf so we don’t have to.
