I refuse to shop in Scotts Valley, and go out of my way to drive around Scotts Valley. Police have nothing to do but give speeding tickets. There are other problems in this town, for example a BIG teen alcohol problem. Why not address that? or the homeless and bums that are becoming more and more common. Why not patrol neighborhoods? Why bottom feed on main road and ticket hardworking citizens and commuters?

I was just taking a break from work and walking my dog and saw one of the SV cruisers heading out to respond to another call.
My thoughts and worries about my ‘tough job’ went out the window. These guys have a job that is far ‘tougher’ than anything I’ve ever done. And they do it day in and day out.
Anytime I have ever had any dealings with the Scotts Valley Police they have been very polite and professional. And yes… I’ve gotten a ticket before… and had a car accident in town so I know. I know some of these folks personally and they are great people.
P. S. I only gave them 4 stars because I never give anything 5 stars…
Keep on doing the great job you do. And I will offer up a ‘Thanks’ from all of us out here in the public…
