This shop has the best paint department available, powered by veteran painters as well as a top-​of-​the-​line Nova Verta spray booth. If you want to get your car fixed then you can go to any shop, but if you want your car to look as good as it did the day you bought it then take it to pro touch. The owner, Karl, is a former mechanical engineer and is as sharp as they come; he personally oversees all operations and is not afraid to help his employees. Very accommodating shop and very friendly staff, they have worked on both my compact BMW and my father’s large, dually F-​350.

I was recently side-​swiped on 17 and had to get most of the right side of my car fixed. Decided on to take my vehicle here since it was close to home and am happy I did. Front office was easy to work with and got through all the paperwork in an efficient and professional manner. The work done is great and car feels like new again. I know dates are always a moving target in a business like this and was very happy that they finished ahead of schedule. Bonus is Hertz is right there, so getting a rental taken care of was easy as well. Would recommend.

They have been punctual, professional, and always communicate with me and friends. I feel they also get a bum rap from other reviewers. they’ve gone out of their way to provide good service!

I took my car here for body repairs a few years ago. Their prices were a little higher than another shop, but since the insurance was covering minus the deductible it didn’t matter to me at the time. (After all, sometimes you get what you pay for, and higher price could mean better work.)
Car was repaired on time. Front office was kind and courteous. They connected with my insurance company making it really easy for me.
I needed a rental car, and it was all arranged. Someone met me at the shop and drove me to the rental car office. When I picked up my car, again the rental car I was driving was coordinated so that it was easy. I didn’t need to arrange a ride from the rental car back to Professional Touch.

I have been doing business with Professional Touch for a few years and have referred business to them as well. I have been working with Shane and Helene as well as Karl on occasion. They have been punctual, professional, and always communicate with us! We dislike how Unilocal filters reviews and it seems unfair to give this locally run business only two stars (as of this date that is the «average».)
We have done business with Professional Touch dozens (over 80) different occasions in the last two years. We are happy to continue doing business with them!

I took my car here a few years ago after a minor collision because I believe in supporting local business and I live right down the street, they have great commercial and seem to walk the talk. I recently took my car in for service and the dealer asked me when was my car in an accident, not a question you would like to hear as they clearly noticed something. One thing they pointed out is the insulation between the motor and the hood was not installed properly and was hanging down almost touching my engine. They showed how the wrong size was ordered and it was never installed properly, they also showed how a piece of my grill was loose and some bad paint work. I don’t open my hood so I trusted the work would be done to my car’s specs. I will never recommend this body shop, please look elsewhere and save yourself a headache.

They did a great job fixing my Hyundai and I have never seen it more clean upon return.

I hit a deer going about 60mph in a brand new Audi that I had just bought less than 6 months before. The repair people were friendly and helpful, and they did an excellent job repairing the car. It still looks new. I was very happy with the repair, and they kept me informed as to when it would be finished. They also took my rental car back for me and helped me load my stuff into the car when I left. Carl was the one who did the final walk-​around with me. I’d recommend them, but I hope I don’t have to go back!

I’ve been taking my cars here for the last 15 years. I use to recommend this place with flying colors, however, now I can just say TAKE YOUR BUSINESS SOMEWHERE ELSE unless you are ok with being mislead, talked down to, yelled at, and don’t care if your car is fixed when you go to pick it up.
I had my mom take her car here for some body work. We dealt with Peter who apparently takes in the vehicles and is responsible for project managing the work. When Peter went out to the vehicle with us, we noticed he didn’t have anything to write with nor did he have a camera with him. We asked him if he needed to write anything down, he frankly answered that his mind was a ‘steal trap’. Before leaving we had to sign off on work that needed to be done. We were hesitant because he asked us to sign a blank paper. Anywhere else I would have left. However, I’ve had several cars worked on here and thought maybe this guy is new so didn’t want to make him look bad. Peter was suppose to email us a work order, but when that wasn’t received I called the office. Long story short he couldn’t recall us or the work that was suppose to be done. I mentioned that this was why we asked if he needed to write anything down. Well, Peter didn’t like that remark and he started yelling at me insisting his mind was a steal trap and that it was our fault the repairs were going to take so long because we didn’t bring parts with us. huh? Isn’t this an auto body place? Not to mention we had told him several times that if he couldn’t do the work to let us know and that we would take the car to the dealer instead because we wanted the parts to be right.
Fast forward 3 weeks. We were told the car was ready to be picked up. When we arrived the person at the front wanted us to sign off on the paperwork without looking it over and the car was no where in viewable site. We started asking questions about the paperwork and the guy started to squirm a little. However, I just thought this was another ‘new’ person because I hadn’t seen him there before either. I paid the insurance deductible so he could get the car.
We of course wanted to look at the work— and thank goodness we did because they had missed a whole section of the car that they had said they had painted! The car wasn’t ready at all.
We had to leave the car for another 5 days! I don’t know what happened to this place but I won’t be going back.
** And a note for the guy who said Professional Touch claims that people writing bad Unilocal were just trying to work the system… I highly doubt that. And Unilocal reviews get filtered by Unilocal for various reasons…

Hi Karl:
Clearly you don’t have your facts straight.
As you know service levels can change.
I did receive your letter last week and was going to reach out to you after the holiday, however now that you’ve posted your response it’s clear that you have not researched the incident.
1. I was there when the car was dropped off by the tow truck.
2. I was there when the vehicle was inspected.
3. Your guy never used a pen/​pencil or paper when I was there — again Peter has a ‘steal trap’ memory.
4. I NEVER instructed your personnel not to touch the car for repair. I NEVER told them the police was going to come to your shop. Again, a great example of how taking notes would have done a world of good in this case.
5. Regarding ‘perception’… ugh… this was an actual POOR experience with your shop not something I dreamed up.
6. I had a couple of different phone calls with Peter but clearly he was too busy yelling at me over the phone to write anything down. I also spoke to your office assistant and my insurance company even called your office because we were so concerned over the lack of communication from your shop.
7.Complete LIE that you never got any feedback from us, I NEVER got the revised quote from your office.
8. When I went in to get the vehicle the work hadn’t been completed! What are you talking about ‘once you learned about the front bumper being loss related you took care of it??? It was on the initial quote.
9.What do you mean by my own omission I didn’t read the quotes? Clearly you didn’t read my complaint — Clearly I read what I did get, how else was I to know to call your shop to get a revised quote?
10. I’m sorry you think your poor customer service and lack of professionalism is my fault. Good to know for when I’m telling people to go somewhere else.

this review is for their Hertz affiliate who is attached to the shop.
I first went here to see if they did glass repair, but I was recommended to Action Auto. I ended up coming back here for a Hertz car rental… 38 bucks for a day including their insurance (I only need to pay for 1 glass repair today thank you). The guy was super friendly… I got a POS Nissan but that was better than no car at all.
Open early and close around 5:30 on week days

Have banged my mazda up a couple times and was referred to «Professional Touch» by AAA both times. Never really had a problem. Repairs were done well and Hertz has a rental outlet there on the property. Was in and out with my rental car in a half hour. No complaints.

I have done business here and been very satisfied. Owner Karl told me that Unilocal removed several positive reviews he got. Why? The negatives remain and Karl told me that those customers wanted him to «cheat» the system somehow and he refused. We’ll see if this stays up!

We took our Mercedes here after somebody vandalized it. They did a great job with the repairs and after they were done you couldn’t tell there was ever any damage. I had none of the customer service issues as mentioned by other reviewers. Overall, I thought they did a great job!

I stopped by here a while back to get an estimate on some damage to the trunk of my car. I had read the positive reviews on Unilocal and expected to have a good experience.
When I drove up I was really surprised by how tiny this place is. The shop is so small that I immediately had reservations about having them repair my car. I spoke with Karl and he was rude from the start. After being there for only a couple of minutes I decided to go elsewhere. Why would I pay to have some rude guy from a tiny little trailer shop give me attitude?
I ended up bring my car to a shop in Santa Cruz and I couldn’t be happier that I did. Professional Touch is definitely not touching my car.

I joined Unilocal just to write this review. I work for a company and many people « Unilocal» us. The site is very helpful in some ways, but from time to time you get people writing reviews who just want to complain. (usually these people expect the impossible and you could never make happy.) I am not that person. I had a terrific experience at The Professional Touch.
My car was rear ended about a month ago and needed a pretty good amount of work. My insurance company actually recommended The Professional Touch as being a reputable company. I was treated professionally from the moment I arrived and always received proper communication during the entire time my car was in the shop. When my car was delivered, it looked perfect and had been professionally cleaned inside and out. I couldn’t be happier.

I hit a deer and ended up doing far more damage than I had originally thought. Roger and Karl took good care of me, and did an excellent job. You cannot even tell there had been any damage at all! The paint blends perfectly, everything is properly aligned, and it looks beautiful! The work was completed on time, without any hassles. They have a rental car office on-​site, which makes it very convenient.
I hope you never need this kind of work done, but if you do, I highly recommend them.

I brought my 2004 MIni there 2 years ago when it got crunched 2 years ago on Scotts Valley Blvd, and have NO complaints, only compliments for Professional Touch! Not only are they awesome on customer service and keeping the customer informed about their vehicle, they do fantastic work! (Hazel can keep the magazines) The paint was matched to the factory paint and there was no sign of the accident at all, PLUS I got my little blue Mini back on schedule (after a slight delay which was caused by Mini, OH and I was able to pick up the rental car right there. I have a new Mini now, which was rear ended in Scotts Valley last week — so, I will definitely be bringing it back to Karl and the guys and gals at P. T!!!
