Joyful Horse and Pet Sitting

I got an email from Chiara months ago. She said that she’s going to move back to her country, so her business is closed here… So I have to come to Unilocal again and find another sitter. It’s so sad… I’ve been relying on her for almost a year, and suddenly I have to start all over, not sure if I could ever find a good sitter as her.
I have a Persian cat and an Exotic Shorthair cat. They are both high maintenance cats that need people to wipe their eyes and brush their fur daily. Chiara is a very professional cat sitter. Before I leave for vacations, I usually leave her a piece of paper describing all the things she should do. And when I come back home a week later, my kitties are healthy and clean as always! If by any chance you come back to US and open up your business again, please let me know…

I second Jen C. in saying that I wish I could give Chiara more than five stars. She is that good.
We moved to Scotts Valley from Massachusetts in July 2013 and we have two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, both now five years old, both of whom, were for a time, on medication.
I looked at a number of dog sitters in the area and settled on Chiara as she is so professional, clearly knows what she is doing and is passionate about her job.
At our first meeting, she was the only person who had a comprehensive checklist of questions to ask, including emergency contacts other than ourselves, the answers to which she keeps on file.
We have worked with her since late September 2013. My husband and I hate leaving the dogs but we know that in Chiara’s hands they are safe and sound and will be as well cared for as if we were there ourselves. She even brushes their teeth every night — something I do myself but never thought I’d find a sitter who would too!
Chiara walks our dogs on a semi-​regular basis and does overnights when we go away for a weekend. The house is spotless on our return and the doggies have clearly been well cared for and much loved in our absence.
Couldn’t ask for anything better!

I have known Chiara for a couple years now, and not only is she a great person, but she does exceptional work. I bought my husband tickets to a concert and only after realized that we would be unable to take care of our horses that night! It is extremely important to me to have someone reliable and trustworthy so, I called Chiara and set up a walk through (feeding 30 horses is not a simple matter!). She understood all my complicated directions about who gets what and how much. We were so happy to be able to have an evening off without worrying about the care of our horses! We will be calling her the next time we need help!

We first hired Chiara as a pet sitter in November of 2008 and since then we have used her services every few months. Each time we return from a trip, we are so pleased with the cleanliness of the house, the happiness of our pets, and with the attention to detail with which the tasks were done.
I am SO particular about how I need things done with our cats, bird, and house, and Chiara totally tolerates my requests without a single complaint. We have her come two times a day while we are gone. She knows how important our «children» are to us.
We have four cats, one African Grey parrot, and we just adopted a new doggie. Two of the cats take medication, but Chiara takes care of this brilliantly.
In the first three years of living in Scotts Valley, I had a real difficult time finding a pet sitter I felt comfortable with, but having Chiara in charge of our pets and home while we are gone makes going away tolerable. My husband and I highly recommend her as a pet sitter. I am so glad we found her. I wish I could give her more than 5 stars.
