Lisa and her crew are AMAZING. They give my dog unconditional love and close attention. He comes home from doggy day care happy and exhausted. Happy tails offers exceptional service and they go above and beyond to offer fantastic customer care and service.

I’ve been sending my dog to Happy Tails for a few months now and both my dog and myself couldn’t be happier! They are really flexible with my last minute requests and just recently, I used the dog grooming service that they offer. My dog came home super clean, nails cut, ears cleaned and with a cute little bandanna on. As a busy working mom, this service is so helpful to me and gives me peace of mind that my dog is getting exercise on the days when I can’t get it done myself.

the worst place ever my dogs was left in the hot van for hours because of all the pick ups which is ridiculous over three hours and the guy was rough with them. really go follow the van and watch how they treat your dog. Their company is. Not happy it is ripp off — or dog abusers

Our three year old pup had a wonderful one-​month long stay at Happy Tails where she was well taken care of by Lisa and her team. We had never left Tika for more than two nights anywhere and were very nervous leaving her for this long, but we had nothing to worry about. After the first day or two, Tika had made many friends and spent the entire month romping around like at a summer camp. On the weekends, Lisa even took Tika for long walks at nearby Henry Cowell State Park. Lisa has over an acre of fully enclosed, shaded hillside for the dogs to run around on and get fully exhausted by the end of the day. While there maybe twenty dogs staying for the day, Lisa only has a few «boarders» overnight (maybe around 5), so we always felt like our dog’s needs were exceptionally well tended to. Its such a relief knowing that if we ever have to be gone and can’t bring our furry companion we have such a wonderful, caring, and fun place to bring her. Except for at night when the boarders sleep in crates, this is a completely cage-​free facility, which means that dogs must be well-​behaved. We felt confident that Lisa carefully selected each dog to make sure that each dog would be safe and happy. Lisa really knows her stuff, and I know Tika would be thrilled to return.

We have been using Happy Tails Pet Sitting for over 2 years and both Keiko and Suki love Camp Happy Tails. On camp days both of them sit waiting for the shuttle to get to our house. We know the shuttle is near when they start to bark and run from our balcony to the front door and back repeatedly. The driver always greets them with a smile and friendliness. They are individually walked to the shuttle and leashed in for the ride to camp. At the end of the day the shuttle drops them off and the driver gives us a report card about their activities at camp and who they socialized with. Additionally, both dogs tell us what they did during the day, which is pretty comical.
One of the things we liked about the camp prior to visiting is all dogs at this camp are caught up on their shots and are either neutered or spayed. When we first visited the facility we learned it has a large fenced in area for the dogs to run around and play, with plenty of shade and a couple of pool areas with a waterfall for when it gets hot. Our dogs were taken down and introduced to the dogs at camp that day to verify their socialization skills; then we were told Happy Tails would accept us as clients.
On the weekends when we need a pet sitting service this is the first (and only) place we think of. Lisa and Larry are always happy to know the girls will need to stay with them over the weekend and have always arranged a convenient way for us to drop off (via the shuttle) and pick up when we get home.
We highly recommend this company, we believe their serves are fair and reason cost wise.

Pepper ann loves going to camp at Camp Happy Tails. We love that the school bus comes in the morning picks her up and brings her home in the afternoon. We get a report card on how her day was. She loves everyone there who takes wonderful care of her. Lisa and her crew are wonderful. my dog Norton and i have nothing but good things to say about the crew at Happy Tails. i’ve been working 12-​hour shifts in palo alto; when i worked swing shift, Kina would come in the evenings and take Norton for his walk. when i switched to day shift, we reluctantly said good-​bye to Kina (except on the occasional weekend). now we have Nancy, who is every bit as wonderful as Kina. there have been a few others who have walked Norton (everybody needs a vacation, after all), and all have been reliable. they’re also flexible, accommodating last minute changes in my schedule easily. i’m very pleased with their service!

We always had good luck with Happy Tails in-​home pet sitting. We’ve used them for just an overnight trip and for a two week trip. While not cheap, it was better than kenneling the animals. They got to stay at home in a familiar environment with each other. We have two cats and one dog and all seemed happy and well cared for after returning from vacations. There was one time when there was a new pet sitter that was more of a cat person and the dog did not like her when she came for the pet-​sit visit. The owner came and did the visit herself to remedy the situation. Thanks for 3 years of reliable service! We’d still be using you if we had not moved away.

We’ve been taking our dog to Camp Happy Tails for about a year and a half and could not be more pleased with the service they provide our dog, Shiloh. They are they dependable, very knowledgeable about dog behavior and dog psychology and have always been responsive to our questions, providing us with a better understanding of our dog. They’ve always been able to accommodate our needs, even if we have some last minute changes. We feel comfortable knowing that our dog is getting what he needs in an safe environment.
Most of all, Shiloh clearly LOVES it there. Every morning he seems to look at me like «Are we going to Happy Tails today?» No matter the context, Shiloh’s ears will perk up at the mention of the words «Happy Tails.» He gets so excited about going that it’s taken over a year for him to learn to just sit quietly in the car while we drive up the road and to lay down and wait quietly while Maria gets him out of the car. And he’s still working on it.
My only complaint? I wish I could hang out there with the dogs all day myself!
(Regarding the reviewer that was concerned about the van ride, Happy Tails has more than one van that is traveling around town at any given time… and yes, the timing of pickup or drop off may not always be exact… but the important thing to us is: they will pick up and drop off! Taxi service for my dog?! Show me a childcare center that will do that.)

Lisa and her crew have taken care of our dog Kobe for 8 or 9 years. They are wonderful! They opened up a «recreation area» for the dogs — Camp Happy Tails and he just loves his time there. When I used to pick him up — I swear he was never ready to leave.
We never have to worry when we have to be away — they take such great care of him — so much so I don’t think he even misses us when we are gone

When I first used Camp Happy Tails, I was happy with their services. They took care of my dog while I was out of town.
Then I found out from my neighbors that my puppy barked all night when he was alone, and they left notes about being concerned. Camp Happy Tails didnt relay any information about my neighbors being concerned for him. When I asked about the notes my neighbors left, the owner and the woman who was supposed to be watching my dog had no idea what I was talking about.
After that, I used their Camp services. I got report cards telling me how my dog was at camp, and who he played with, which i liked.
Then the notes stopped being so consistent. and when I would ask that my dog get a bath, it didnt indicate it on the report card (if i got one at all). When I asked if he had gotten a bath, I got a ‘we’re not groomers, so its not a fancy bath’ lecture. My concern wasnt about the quality of the bath, but the fact that I couldnt even tell, and the report card should have indicated he had gotten a bath at all!
I was assured that my dog was picked up promptly in the mornings (especially since the dogs were loaded up in the vans at about 2pm to go home), but then I started seeing that van driving around Ben Lomond and Boulder Creek at like 11 in the afternoon!
If the van is still picking up dogs at 11 in the morning, and getting loaded up for home at 2pm, then how was my dog getting ANY play time?!
I tested it once, and stayed home to see when my dog was picked up. 10:30! Another time, 11:00!
The biggest issue I had was when my dog was ‘forgotten’ and never got picked up while I was at work. He was at home in his crate for TEN hours. I was so upset, when I called to find out what happened, there was no apologetic tone simply, «oh, looks like we forgot.» That sealed the deal for me.
They could be amazing, but there are so many things that need to be fixed.
