is eexperienced in domestic and asian vehicles.

We also have a general mechanic here until 7:00 Pm monday thru friday

for oil and filter service, tire repair, and brake service.

I wish they sold this station back to the private owners.
The new people they’ve hired, especially these kids that work the night shift have no respect and no class.
They smoke and puff their cigarette smoke from outside and bring it in the store. While I’m in there looking to buy something.

The receipt paper rarely filled and does not come out. And now today the keypad didn’t work. done worse service station ever!!!

This is the first time I’ve had work done by the newer mechanic that runs the garage now. Albert saved me when my battery went dead. He stopped everything he was doing and replaced it on the spot. I brought my car back for some work that needed to be done. Very professional, timely and got the job done. I was very pleased, and I will be back.

Went in for a smog check. Slow. Mechanics with dirty hands and clothes all over the inside of my newly cleaned car. Left a dirty rag on the driver’s seat! Expensive.

Great, honest mechanics! Although I was disappointed at first that the mechanics I knew were no longer there when the new owners took over, I am much, much happier to have my vehicles worked on with the new manager, Kevin. He is very personable and professional, and does a great job of explaining exactly what is going on with your vehicle.
There are often classic cars being worked on there so I was comfortable having Kevin and Albert make the repairs to our 1977 Thunderbird. They’ve also worked on our Ford Ranger with no problems.
They are located right off the Granite Creek exit of Hwy 17. As the last available repair shop as you leave the Sants Cruz /​Scotts Valley area heading over Highway 17 towards Los Gatos and San Jose, they’re perfectly located for emergency repairs. There’s even a hotel in walking distance if needed.

Other smog stations were too busy so I took a chance at dropping in here to see if a test could be run while I waited: i.e., right away, not after two hours of waiting. Kevin took care of some paper work and got right on it. Sadly, one of the EGR tests failed in spite of his efforts to help it work. That Jeep went back to the seller. Two weeks later I showed up unannounced with another Jeep and, again, Kevin was there to quickly smog it while I waited. Turns out he teaches other mechanics how it’s done right.

Clean station. Great selection of refreshments and light snacks for the road. Smog center with a $ 5 off check in bonus if you need to be smog checked. Maybe drive out from the east bay, do a smog check and roll back home to DMV and see a nice little town of Scotts Valley all in the same day!

I really appreciate honesty when it comes to car repairs. I went here years ago and remember having great service and that they actually saved me money. I just moved back in the area and once again, friendly service, reasonable pricing and same day service. (Oil change and new head light.) Much cheaper than going to the dealer.

While the location is nice, the staff and facilities are lacking greatly. First off, the bathrooms are disgusting. While they looked semi decent on the surface, the overpowering stench of old urine was gag-​worthy (women’s facilities). The entire bathroom needs to be gutted and re-​tiled to get the urine out of the grout!
As for the staff, the young girl is sweet and makes eye contact. The guy named Mike is efficient and good. This night guy has done waaaaaay too many drugs and is not on the same plane of consciousness as the rest of us. Lastly, there is a guy who occasionally works during the day that refuses to wear shoes! I mean, just socks! Can you imagine how dirty they get. Totally disgusting. I wonder if the health department or OSHA know about him…

Recently had my tire blow out on Highway 17… ugh…
This place came to my rescue. Replaced my tire without having to pay inflated prices and the service was excellent. The tire I received was the same brand and cheaper than what I purchased them for at America’s Tire Co.
