Baymonte Christian School is an independent, interdenominational Christian school serving preschool though eighth grade students. The school’s curriculum integrates a Christian world view while challenging and preparing our students for high school and beyond. We emphasize a culture of compassion through student participation in local and international service projects. Extra-curricular activities include music, athletics and clubs. Baymonte is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and the Association of Christian Schools International. In 2003 Baymonte was awarded the National Blue Ribbon School Award from the United States Department of Education.
History
Established in 1968.
Baymonte Christian School was founded in 1968 through of the vision of Glennon Culwell, Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Scotts Valley. Pastor Culwell recruited David Wallace, the founder of Valley Christian Schools in San Jose, to implement his vision and develop a new independent Christian school ministry, benefiting Santa Cruz County students.
