Christopher Academy, The Montessori School, offers an exceptional learning environment, tailored to the individual child for preschool children from age ²¹⁄₂ to Grade One, driven by the community.

History

Established in 1986.

Our campus is located on a spacious four acre campus in Scotch Plains. Established in 1960 as Active Acres a traditional preschool school, it combined a secluded country setting with the amenities of a booming suburban community. To respond to the growing reputation of its program, Christopher Academy expanded into the Active Acres campus in 1986. Christopher Academy grew to offer an unparalleled Montessori experience to the Scotch Plains area. The Scotch Plains location now serves 75 children from 2 through 7 years of age.
