Interesting experience at the newly remodeled Strack & Vantil. ON January 3, 2016 I purchased three fried chicken breasts at the Delli Department. When my wife and I were eating, she thought she bit into a chicken bone, but low and behold it was a nail with a portion broken off. The next day, I went to the store and the Assistant Manager, Mr. Bonner(Sp.?) came to meet with me. I said do you wnat the good news or the bad news and he said whichever I wanted. I told him the good news was that my wife did nto swallow or damage a tooth or get a cut, but that the bad news was that the nail was cooked in one of the chicken breasts. I gave him the nail. He said he did not know how this could happen and oofered to give me 3 chicken breasts($ 5.97 value), but I was on my way out of town and my wife was having a party. He said they would give me 3 breasts another time, but he did not bother to take my name or any other information. He did not give me acrd and seemed happy just to get me out of the store. I have taught human resources and guest services courses and his handlingm of this matter was less than appropiate. I would have at least thought he would say that he would investigate the mattter, instruct and train his staff and make sure something like this would not happen again. This was not a good experience.

Remodel looks nice and the fresh options are good, but all the prices are jacked up to pay for the remodel. Makes me very sad. The meat at strack’s also isn’t the greatest quality.

Wonderful store. It’s absolutely beautiful and the selection is great. HOWEVER, how do you have 4 lanes open(including the express lane) on a Sunday??? I’m posting this review as I wait in a line of 8 people because I know I’ll have a ton of time. Your cashier had to get a price check on an item and I’ve never witnessed a person move more slow. Absolutely ridiculous considering I’m here to buy 2 pumpkins. I’ve physically been in this line for 12 minutes and there are still two people ahead of me…

They’ve done a great job in stepping up their game with the remodel. Also, I can’t seem to ever fully grocery shop because their sushi and wings are soooooo good. A must try!!! I always end up buying dinner there as opposed to buying groceries to make dinner. Their organic section is a lot better than what it used to be too. Can’t say I’ve looked at their organic meat section lately, though… Just have to make it past the ready made food section.

The best grocery store around. The staff is friendly and helpful. The store is very clean and shelves are well stocked. The prices are excellent. We love the Daily Specials! Fresh meals to go. The variety is amazing. Pulled pork, chicken, salads, side dishes, full salad bar, fresh made to order pasta…

Update on my review: wow oh wow! The remodel reminds me of Marianos in IL! Tons of organic and gluten free choices now! Vegetarian stuff as well! They have this awesome pasta area, pizza bar, BBQ spot and sandwich area where you could, should you choose, have lunch or dinner right there!!! They have a salad bar as well. Want them to grill your steak or chicken? Yup, they do that too! The chef does a fantastic job! My hubby and I have taken advantage of that a few times now. We have had him grill it up and got some mashed potatoes and ate food right in the café. Cheese lover? They have a ton! Beer lover? Tons of that too! They also have fresh squeezed OJ, lemonade and carrot juice! Loving it! Not to mention an albanese area with chocolate!!!

Wow the remodel of this was genius. Love love what they now have to offer. The hummus and salad bars are great. Even better are the meals to go. Just had their fresh pasta last night. Yummy. There are just so many more items to choose from. Great store. I stop here now more often than the competitor

In a land where people still ask, «paper or plastic?» And your grocery buggy is pushed to your vehicle and unloaded… how rare, how warm of a memory that grocery shopping is a wholistic experience. The prices aren’t bad and the selection/variety of merchandise is on par with most other grocery chains.

We recently had the chicken dinner catering package, and were thoroughly impressed. This is my first experience having an event catered, so I will admit that I have nothing to which this can be compared, but right down to the serving spoons bundled together, everything was perfect. The food was tasty, better than wedding food. My order was ready a few minutes before expected, and the staff was helpful and friendly. I will definitely consider Stracks catering packages for future events.
