I’m an accidental conoisseur of bingo. My parents took me a lot growing up, so I know the game and what to expect, but I don’t actually enjoy playing because I never. freaking. win. Still, a friend invited me to the Palace and I had to check it out. I mean, a PALACEOFBINGO? Pros: High payouts. Quirky games like layer cake and postage stamp keep things interesting, but can be confusing if you’re not familiar. Dabbers available to buy from vending machines if you don’t have your own. Cons: Shabby and depressing interior. And exterior. Nothing palatial about it, but there are tables and chairs and lights, so that should be enough. There is a smoking area(but a non-smoking area, too, so there’s that) Supply machine on the non-smoking side out of order when I visited. Fellow players(on the non-smoking side, anyway) are friendly and no one shushes you or gives you a death stare if you chat like at other bingos I’ve attended. Workers are nice too.
