History

Established in 1968.

The store started in 1968 when the Aerodrome Night Club was in existence. Many popular bands played at the Aerodrome, including Led Zeppelin, Janis Joplin, Vanilla Fudge and many more. The original owners of Drome Sound worked at the Aerodrome and came up with the idea of starting a music store next to the night club. Drome Sound is a full line music store with a great variety of musical instruments, sound equipment, software, and a knowledgeable staff.

Business Owner

I started working part time at Drome Sound while I was in college. Eventually the job turned into a full time position as manager. I enjoy working with all aspects of music, along with all the great customers I have met over the years. When the original owners retired I took over the store in 2004.
