A greasy spoon joint and a guilty pleasure of mine. I probably only eat here once a year in order to brace myself for the the potential 2000+ calorie meal I’m about to consume. The fries are genuine(with the skins on) and greasy – so greasy that the brown bag turns clear in about 10 minutes or less. For the rare occasion that I eat fries, I might as well go all the way; and these fries don’t disappoint. I have eaten the chicken pita or pulled pork; the combo meals are more than enough to satisfy my appetite, and I usually end up with leftovers. Really, you could feed two people with these meals.

great Vienna dogs, great price and great fresh cut fries! Only thing missing were the poppy seeds and celery salt! for best bang, get the combos or meals with fries and the fries are enough to share!

Frankly Yours is a decent sized neighborhood fast food joint located off of Irving Park Road in Schaumburg. There is a quite a bit more seating on the inside than most places of a similar nature and they have a fairly diverse menu with burgers, hot dogs, italian beef and even serve beer. In visiting Frankly Yours I decided to go for the hot dog. The hot dog I received came on a regular non-poppy seed bun. The pickle was thicker than the hot dog itself and was the dominant flavor here. The tomato was served chopped up rather than in slices and some bits of it were soggy and white. The application of mustard, onions and relish was fine. There was no sign of celery salt on this dog that I could detect. The sausage itself was a skinless frank and was heated up well enough. The final problem is the haphazard way the dog was assembled required me to put all the toppings on in such a way to actually pick it up and eat it. Overall this was a very sloppy hot dog and I’d recommend avoiding it. While not terrible tasting, it was a bit more like eating a giant pickle on a bun than eating a hot dog as the pickle flavor dominated this particular dog. Two stars, not among the worst I’ve ever had, but well below average.

Much like Frankly Yours West(are they sister restaurants? It would be odd if they weren’t), the hot dogs are very okay. The fresh cut fries, on the other hand, are crunchy salty greasy perfect and should be the reason you come because they give you an ungodly amount, enough to push this from lunch to dinner amounts of calories. They also serve beer because they do. I wouldn’t encourage people to come here over Portillo’s — the best option for hot dogs in Schaumburg — except that those fries keep calling me back.

It’s an original, what ca be better? Perfect amount of grease on the fries, and if you add cheese the grease just melts away. Chicago-style hot among the BESTINTHEWORLD!!! When in Chicago, make Frankly Yours a stop.

I tried the lunch special half Greek chicken plate the other day and was sorely disappointed. I arrived at peak lunch time(noon) but the chicken tasted like yesterdays dried up old chicken. I swear the chicken must’ve been sitting under the heat lamp for at least a good 4 hours or more. Don’t bother eating the rice either. Just awful. Downgrading to 3 stars because there is no reason the Greek chicken should be that horrible at a place like this.

Just ate part of a Char-broiled angus cheese burger and it was greasy, fatty, not angus(I know angus) and full of gristle. After eating about ½ of it I actually became sick. I’ve given these folks two times to get it right. They use to be good years back but since they changed ownership their quality has gone down hill. Again, I’m actually sick to my stomach. Their quality of meat SUCKS. Word to the wise.

Stop here if you can but don’t go out of your way. Joe Pescci seemed to be minding the counter and he was confident in his lack of service. The guy flipping dogs and burgers had no qualms grabbing your entrée’ bare handed and the prices were a bit escalated but it was worth it. I’d hit this place again if I was around because it was a genuine dive and pretended to be nothing more than a solid hot dog/beef stand. I might have caught it on a good day but the fries tasted great… like they actually changed and filtered the oil often! Give it a shot.

Frankly Yours is one of the most stellar grease spoons//hot dog joints of Schaumburg. With a menu of Chicago-style hot dogs, burgers, gyros, chicken, Italian beef sandwiches and fresh cut fries, how could you possibly go wrong?!? You can’t. Everything I have tried, I’ve been more than pleased with. Well, with the exception of the calorie count. But — hey, it comes with the price of ordering some grease! The food is outstanding for what it is! Again, this isn’t going to be a gourmet, Michelin rated dining experience. The service is pretty fast, and always friendly. I’ve yet to be disappointed. Getting fat and sloppy isn’t a regular dining experience for me, but when a gyro, beef or hot dog calls my name, Frankly Yours always hits the spot!

When I lived in Schamburg, Frankly Yours was right across from our apartment complex and it was the perfect quick stop! Really good food and nice and cheap. I wish there were more places like this around!

For a burger/dog joint, this is the best I have been to in a while. A great menu and a very nice staff. Very clean and bright. I will drive out of my way to go here again and again!

I have only tried a hot dog and fries here. Like others have said hot dog average… But the fresh cut fries are very good and they give you a lot of them. Next time I will have to try something else.

Being that we use to live down the block from this place, we figured it was time to try it out. When we got there, we noticed there was a guy outside smoking. We just passed by as if he was another person just standing outside having a cigarette. We walk inside, and the atmosphere is like a culver’s. Fast food but still restaurant style. All of a sudden, the guy outside smoking walked up and started to take our order! Weird, yet disgusting.(I just hope he washed his hands before he tried to help us) The place was empty as we found a seat. There was only 2 other guys sitting at a far table from us. The food wasn’t great… I had a gyro and the meat was so salty! I’m not a big fan of salty food(I sure hope others aren’t either). My daughter had a hotdog I believe and it was really simple.(I could have just grilled that at home — simple) We only went there one time, but of course the boyfriend came back another time. It’s not a place that we would remember to go back.

Service is world class especially for a restaurant of this caliber. Plus, you can more than feed a family of four here for under $ 20 bucks! The food tastes great, especially their chicken. Although this is a fast food joint, much of their items have a home made taste and«feel» to them. Highly recommended! Two thumbs up!

I was not impressed at all… my burger tasted funny and my fries were a cold, greasy mess. I’ve only been one time(back in September) and have not nor will not go back.
