History

Established in 1998.

Founder, Robert Zohn is a retired TV Broadcast senior engineer and worked on the development of HDTV. Robert Zohn holds several utility patents.

Since 1994 Value Electronics hosts the well respected Flat Panel HDTV Shootout evaluation event. The annual event has brought more than 250,000 a/​v enthusiasts the facts about who makes the best display each year.

Value Electronics is factory direct authorized dealers for most major audio and video brands and control systems. Value Electronics also sells LED lighting, AMerican made carpets and home furnishings.

Business Owner

Before starting VE Robert Zohn was a well respected TV Broadcast systems engineer and held the position of senior executive for Hitachi’s TV Broadcast Special Products Group position for 14 years. Robert Zohn was a presenter at NAB (National Association of Broadcasters) and IBC (International Broadcast Convention).

Robert Zohn sat on the panel of five top experts at CES and has been a speaker at Nine Lives, among other venues.

For the past seven years VE has developed and sponsors the highly respected Flat Panel HDTV Shoot-​out Event.

In 1997, VE was a Beta tester for Hughes’ first one-​way high-​speed Internet satellite system. Then again in 1998, VE was selected as the Beta tester for the first two-​way satellite broadband system. Hughes and DIRECTV used VE to help develop and Beta test the first HD set-​top-​box, the E86.

Since then VE has been selected as Beta testers for DIRECTV’s first HD DVR w/​Tivo, the HR10−250, and VE has been chosen to test and evaluate many a/​v products
