I came here to celebrate and was pretty disappointed. I ordered the enchilada suiza and the portion came shockingly small for its price. The meal itself wasn’t terrible but the rice was definitely not fresh, the whole one scoop anyway. The waiter was very polite and helpful but I won’t be returning for another try.

Maya(formerly Casa Maya) has gone rapidly downhill. Food is very mediocre. Last evening, we ordered takeout. When I returned home 25 minutes later, I found they had not included the guacamole and chips we had ordered. In addition, the order of chicken fajitas was tiny(see pic below) — maybe a third of the size it had been when my daughter previously ordered it. When I called, the manager got very defensive, saying they focused on «portion control». This was not portion control; it was an error, which they refused to acknowledge. We had previously ordered similar and gotten normal sized portions. The manager ultimately agreed to credit cost of the guacamole(but it still has not shown on my credit card), but refused to address the fajitas. Don’t waste your time or money here. There are much better options.

The service was outstanding and the Mariachi was great. He sang per our requests several songs and was enthusiastic about it. That being said, the food itself is overpriced and terrible. The average main menu item is $ 20 to $ 25. I ordered the Shrimp Chimichangas and I got two fried tortillas with melted cheese and 2 shrimps in each. It tasted like I made it at home in a microwave using all prepackaged ingredients. My sister got something that was literally a piece of steak with a side of melted cheese and shredded green peppers. Gross. We ordered margaritas and it was very watered down. At $ 12 a piece it should really be better. I’ve paid less for better(and more food) at food carts and restaurants in the hood. I will not be returning here.

No atmosphere, service okay and a bit loud so those are my reasons for three stars. The food is very good though even on busy nights. The Cadillac margarita on the rocks is perfect and nice and salty and cold. The salsa is very good and fresh. Love the steak quesadillas and the chicken mole. The rice is not greasy and good compliment to the beans and whatever entrée you choose.

Worst Mexican food I’ve had in my life. Appetizer was so awful I cut my loss right there. Clueless bartender collected my unfinished drink to top it off. No ambiance, bad food, bad service — what’s not to hate?

This place is not that great. Ordered a combo chicken three tacos with rice and beans and they charge me $ 15.95. Those tacos portions were small as hell, chicken wasn’t that warm and it was type greasy. I wasn’t full at all. I could have went to Taco bell and got my money worth and still paid less than 10 dollars. This place is the shit! Don’t come here…

Chips were cold and greasy. Slow service. Menu written so small you can’t read it at night. Drinks slow to come out. Husband got his drink I didn’t get mine. My order was wrong. Food is bland Like cafeteria food. Don’t come here.

While traversing the whimsical town of Scarsdale we discovered the restaurant. We dined on plentiful amounts of marinara sauce and meat sauce. The waiter reminded us that the Tamilas were«meh ok.» While wearing a run while you can look he accepted our orders. The chicken looked great and tasted like it had been served while being processed at the cleaners next door. All seriousness, the food needs some work. Service was good.

This place is awful. The service is cursory and they offer nothing other than the bare minimum for a full service restaurant. The real tragedy here is the food, which is bad for an American palate and an abomination for a Mexican palate. This food was so bad that it extends beyond the realm of jokes, they have a real problem with food quality here. If they decide to actually start trying they might have a chance but what they served me was awful!

Sadly the place has done downhill. Won’t be going here any more. The food is sub-par and not worth the effort to drive there or the money.

Chicken Fajitas were good. My friend loved her strawberry Margarita. Food was good. Typical Mexican food. There’s outsdoor seating with a view of the parking lot. I would return for this area this is a nice place.

First impressions are crucial, right? I walked in and was not greeted, but stared down by the hostess — waiting for me to say something first. I don’t remember the exact conversation prior to when she looked at me like I had six heads when I said we wanted to sit outside. She looked at my mother and I and said«you want to sit outside!!!» And I was taken aback and responded«like were crazy?». Terrible first impression. However– our waiter was friendly and pleasant(could have paid a bit more attention to us, filling water, more napkins etc) Food portions are perfect, not too filling. Could be more fresh though — overall basic experience.

Have been coming here for years, I mean years, to the Happy Hour, meeting my girlfriend after work. Great Bar menu and drinks at a great price. Well today, my girlfriend orders her usual drink and receives it. Arrives a new bartender and he gives her a hard time about her drink, stating its not a Happy Hour drink, which she has been getting for years and he could care less, stating he’s the manager and that’s the way it is. Well he needs to go to Manager school and learn some customer service skills. Manager’s don’t receive tips right? Well I hope he learns that he will lose customers with his unprofessionalism.

Went in for a late Sunday lunch. Place is clean and staff is very very attentive. I had the Acapulco Shrimps which were good– especially the tostones! Drinks were not all that– seemed water down. I thought it was a little pricey overall for just ok food. Will be back only if im in the area.

I ordered the traditional beef taco and burrito and it came with rice and beans. This was definitely not Mexican food. The beef was corned beef from a can with no seasoning whatsoever. Disgusting in my mind and just because I had a bite they wouldn’t change the order. Service thumbs down, food thumbs down and overpriced, so all together save your money and time. Unfortunately I cannot put zero stars.

Honestly, this place is nothing special. I’ve been here a few times and I always leave with the thought that I’ve had better Mexican food at other places. You start with a(big) bowl of tortilla chips and salsa — a staple at any Mexican restaurant but these are lukewarm/cold(in other words right out of a bag). It would be nice if they made their own chips, or at least warmed them before serving. Their guacamole is pretty good, though I will say they make it on the chunkier side. I don’t mind extra chunky guac but others may like it smoother. Their main dishes are just okay; they’re tasty but not the best I’ve had. It’s hard to describe specifics, if I had to I would say my chimichanga was greasy and my burrito was kinda small and falling apart. They put shredded cheese on the refried beans but it’s all congealed by the time it gets to the table. The food overall is underwhelming. The atmosphere is okay, it’s a small dining room with touches of Mexican décor throughout, but for me it looks kind of makeshift. I feel like it can easily be converted to another type of restaurant with a quick change in wall decorations. Service is okay, though I will say the wait staff is a little cold. Overall, it’s easy and convenient if you’re in the area or as a last resort — just know it’s not the best Mexican out there.

I’ve been here numerous times with my girlfriend. While the food here will not blow you away, its definitely a nice experience. The crab guacamole is a must try, even if the crab is canned. The soda is occasionally flat but that’s to be expected from a place that makes delicious house margaritas and pina coladas. For anyone on a budget, they have excellent dinner specials Sunday through Thursday as well as a mariachi Friday through Sunday, in case you want your special someone serenaded(and you can’t sing).

Had a very nice dinner, my first. The space and food aren’t fancy. But there’s good value here. Portions are generous and everything was delicious. Service was also reasonably attentive. As soon as we sat down, we were given a nice, big basket of free tortilla chips with a thick, mild salsa. The guacamole was also very good. And the nachos appetizer is huge — loaded with cheese, refried beans(but no guac). Three of us ate all of it but it could easily been shared by four or five people. For main courses, the chicken and beef chimichanga was huge, big enough for two. There’s also a selection of more than half a dozen vegetarian main dishes. The spinach burrito was draped in a layer of melted cheese. And for a lower calorie selection, I had the primavera burrito with a mix of cooked vegetables — they were beautifully seasoned and delicious. The tortillas were all really fresh. The white sangria was lovely. For dessert, the tres leches cake wasn’t super-drenched and not overly sweet either. We also liked the crepes, which were filled with a caramel sauce and served with ice cream — eat it hot because as the caramel cools, it hardens the crepes pretty fast. Yes, I would definitely go back. Good for a crowd or a quiet dinner for two.

This place used to be my go to after work happy hour spot. The owner, Gregorio and his staff are extremely friendly, I could go there solo and feel welcome. The ambience is nice, warm and welcoming. For food, I generally get the nachos with ground chorizo, and add their crazy hot, hot sauce… oh sooo good!!! If you sit at the bar during HH, they give you complimentary cheese quesadillas which are good and cheesy, but I tend to stay away from the freebies so I can leave room for their nachos. I’m tempted to try other things on their menu, but can’t steer away from the nachos… geez! I’ve been reading that they’ve had liquor licensing issues, so hopefully that problem has been resolved so they can continue to get their HH crowd through the door. AMBIENCE — 4 FOOD — 5(Nachos and margaritas) SERVICE — 4
