Jade Spoon is some of the best Chinese take out you will find. The quality is definitely better than most places, for instance, all white meat in the chicken dishes. The spare ribs and general tsao’s chicken are dream worthy. The one downside is that there are no pork egg rolls or fried rice, which is strange because there are pork ribs on the menu, so there is no pork aversion. With that said, I suggest the vegetable fried rice, they use fresh vegetables and it comes together nicely.

Delicious food, large portions. Unique options too, not like your typical Chinese carry out. Couldn’t ask for more. Our go to place for Chinese carry out.

This little restaurant has surprisingly good food. It’s in a small step mall and is easy to miss. It is primarily a take out place, but dining in was fine. The service is fast, friendly and the place is very clean. First time there, but I’d be happy to return.

This place is excellent. Ingredients are fresh. Preparation is solid. Portions are large. Prices are low. Family and I ordered four items and liked each of them. Hard to find good restaurants in the suburbs, but this is a keeper.

Food is excellent! Every thing I have gotten is delicious! The items I always get are the boneless ribs which are the best around the beef and broccoli, the beef is so tender and broccoli is just perfect. The sesame chicken is also very good. And the steamed dumplings could be a meal in it self love them. Staff is friendly too and I have food allergies and they always take care in preparation. I know they deliver but I always go pick it up and it’s always ready when I arrive. They are worth the drive.

By far the best Chinese food I’ve ever had; and yes, I’ve eaten a lot of Chinese food in and outside of NYC. Ate dinner here for the first time this past evening and I will definitely be going back. In fact, it is going to be the only Chinese food I buy from now on. It’s clean, white meat, fresh chicken make the sesame chicken filling but absent of that gross fast food feeling after. The entrees are more than worth the price, and the dinner specials are a great deal for a lighter plate. I strongly recommend this restaurant!

Super clean, fresh ingredients, cooked to perfection, family run, focus on quality, taste and cleanliness — What else can you ask for in a Chinese/Asian restaurant? The owners are Malaysians and they know their dishes inside out, I have lived in MY and Singapore and can tell the difference between a good Chinese restaurant and a bad one and this is clearly is one of the best in and around Scarsdale. It’s a no-brainer!

You’ll notice when you enter that this is not your typical Chinese take out. It’s better, the ingredients are excellent and the dishes very tasty. Prices are 10−20% higher but you get what you pay for. The only negatives are that they are very busy during prime time and there is only a single door making for frequent cold drafts during the winter.

I tried this place twice. Two positives, they deliver and it looks clean. That’s where it ends. I want to like the food. I want it to even be average ‘bad’ chinese take out, but unfortunately it is not. The spicy food was bland and gummy. The chicken tasted weird. We will continue our quest for Chinese in White Plains. I was a big fan of Little Kitchen in Mamaroneck, but I dont think they deliver. I may just have to make the 10 minute drive next time I have a craving for Chinese takeout.

The Asian food here has changed the way I look at take out. My friends and I come up from the Bronx and Yonkers all the time because the take out is way better and cooked much healthier than any other local Chinese places. They have more than Chinese, so it’s been good having a variety of options to try/order from. The owners are always really hospitable and it’s clear they have very loyal customers.

Staff was super friendly and the food was not overly greesy/oily…Tasted fresh and I opted for delivery. A bit pricey for take out though.

This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend and what a nice surprise. Delivery was prompt, the food hot and delicious. We ordered a couple of times before we actually went there and that was an even nicer surprise. You order at the counter like a typical, strip mall Chinese restaurant but then they ask you to sit at one of the 3 tables in order to serve you ala white tablecloth Chinese restaurant. So good.

Really good take out but be prepared to wait and wait on weekend nights; eggplant was outstanding and spicy green beans also treat.

Gave them another shot & pleasantly surprised with their general tso’s lunch special. It’s a little too sweet and not spicy despite the 1 or 2 red chili peppers in there… but solid white meat with not too much batter. Plus they give a very generous portion of chicken. Gotta get your veggies elsewhere. :)

I recently moved to scarsdale and I like Chinese food from time to time. I’m not crazy about it but there are times when I crave it, and you gotta satisfy that craving when it comes. I ordered a scallion pancake(on the recommendation from others from Unilocal), a lunch special order of grilled chicken wings with vegetable fried rice, and a Hong Kong style fries tofu for $ 16.74.(The lunch special came with soup but I didn’t want it. Didn’t want to waste it if I wasn’t eating it) Ordering was super easy and nice as they told me the price after I ordered. They said half an hour for delivery but I got it in 20 minutes. Already a +1. When I got the order I love that the receipt says exactly what price they charged and how they got to my final total, so I know I’m they’re not adding some random amount without me knowing.(Trust me it’s happened before I never know what they’re charging me for but it’s not the menu price) +1 What I loved about this restaurant is that it’s definitely more traditional than others and doesn’t rely on lots of oil/grease with msg for flavoring. The scallion pancakes were good but not as good as everyone was saying. They’re a bit soggy and not crunchy enough as a whole, but the taste is good and it was still yummy overall. They need to be eaten with the sky sauce unlike others that don’t need it. The vegetable fried rice and chicken came in a container that had separate compartments for the rice and chicken. UNBELIEVABLYBEAUTIFUL. +100 And they both tasted delicious, not too salty and the chicken tasted like barbecued chicken. They gave a generous helping too!(6 large pieces of chicken!) +2 The tofu was just alright, definitely fresh which is always good and the tofu was really silky inside. +1 All in all, the food was great and the packaging was genius. The lunch special is really worth your money $ 6.95 as it comes with soup, your choice of rice and a variety of main dishes. It’s nice to have such a great Chinese restaurant nearby and I’ll definitely go again!

I saw all of these 5 star reviews and wondered if they were warranted. I agree 100%. We stopped here for lunch on a trip to NJ and saw sixteen different $ 6.75 lunch specials on the menu, so that’s where we went. A hot and sour soup, a wonton soup, a chicken and pineapple, and a Malaysian Sambal with shrimp. I order hot and sour soup a lot. Sometimes its thin and watery. Sometimes its really strong. Sometimes it has almost no veggies except some limp and lonely bean sprouts. This soup was wonderful –delicious flavorful broth with plenty of varied and flavorful veggies and bits of meat. When I ordered the Sambal, the server got kind of serious and asked me if I ever ordered it before. She said its kind of spicy and strongly flavored with shrimp paste and some people don’t like it. I’m pretty daring so I said full steam ahead, but I was so impressed at the customer service she showed by checking with me. Truth is I never had Sambal sauce before. It was fine– a nice mix of salty and spicy. I did some Wiki research and found out it’s «typically made from a variety of chili peppers and secondary ingredients such as shrimp paste, fish sauce, garlic, ginger, shallot, scallion, sugar, lime juice, and vinegars». So your $ 6.75 gets you this for lunch — a great bowl of soup, a very generous portion of an entrée, and a good scoop of rice –brown, white, chicken fried, or vegetable fried. The dining room is very nice, the service is spot on, the value is excellent. If I lived in the area, I’d be here a lot. Five stars? Yes indeed.
