Sayrebrook Veterinary Hospital

I brought our Yorkie to Sayrebrook for a few visits while we were living up there last year. I had no incidents with them. The vets seemed a little arrogant to me but they treated him with no issues that I could complain about. You need to see for yourself if you like the place.
They did keep us waiting but not too long.

Me and my boyfriend were recommended by a friend to bring our cat Lucy to get checked out. She ended up being very sick and doctor and nurses were beyond patient with her. We ended up having to put her to sleep but the doctor was very honest and caring. The entire staff was absolutely amazing. As sad as we are we want to thank u guys for helping us thru such a difficult time.

overpriced. My cat went here — they asked me how she was feeling; 2 minutes later the appointment was over and I was charged 50 $ for a recheck. absurd. only positive is the vet techs are friendly. Dr. Chiosi is the worst part. Obnoxious, ignorant, rude, and always ‘in surgery’ or ‘on the phone’ when you need to speak with him — anytime of the day. Despicable doctor with poor communication skills. I had to switch hospitals just to find out what was really going on with my cat. He didn’t know what he was doing; just continued to call me in for 50 $ rechecks. It was a huge waste of time and money going here. Please go somewhere else if you can.

I was recommended to this place by my friend who has 5 dogs and her grandma brings her two cats.
Its farther then i would want but when i was looking for place to get my puppy neutered i just didnt want to bring it to any place.
My puppy was kept over night, her scar was clean and healed in no time.
Only thing is that the receptionist appear to be tad bit bitter (:, but everyone has bad days

I took my dog here (for the first time) indicating that I needed a certificate so my dog could be clear to fly in an airplane. They KNEW he did not have any records there and rather than ask for his records from his previous vet (apparently my copies don’t count) BEFORE our appointment, they decided they needed them when we got to our appointment. The alternative to get the certificate — rather than having them faxed over — was to conveniently have him revaccinated aka over vaccinate him at their facility. NO SERVICES WERE PERFORMED — no certificate given, but I was charged $ 48!!! For an oversight on their part. So if you want to be OVER CHARGED and UNDER SERVICED — IF you get any service at all, by all means visit this place. The building is nice and big — you know why??? Because they screw-​over pet owners. Thanks for nothing.
Bottom line: find another vet

Try other vets in the area.

I have two special needs cats who are 8 years old and I would not trust any other doctors to take care of them than Dr. Birmingham and Dr. Bill at Sayrebrook Veterinary Hospital.
Dr. Birmingham is the most caring, gentle, detail oriented vet I have ever met. My cat, Lola, had long term diarrhea issues (6+ months) when I finally took her to see Dr. B. Of course, there was a lot of testing involved to diagnose the issue, but Dr. B made sure to only do what was necessary. Most of the discussions happened over the phone, so I did not have to come in for too many follow up visits. After a lot of inconclusive results, Dr. B personally wrote out a timeline and consulted with an internal specialist and brainstormed different and innovative solutions. Finally, a special medication regimen was given to Lola and her stomach issues cleared up within a few weeks. I had spent months and months with other vets who were just wasting my money.
Dr. Bill performed a dental procedure on my other cat, Eve, just a few days ago and I cannot say enough wonderful things about the experience. Eve had some horrible issues with her mouth and needed 13 extractions. She had an awful abcess and several other issues. Dr. Bill called me once before starting to extractions to explain what he had to do. When I picked Eve up in the evening, he was so wonderful to bring me in and show me all of the x rays he did to point out why he needed to operate the way he did. Everything was very detailed and made perfect sense. The main goal was to make Eve comfortable. I felt confident taking Eve home that day that she received the best possible care. To my surprise, I even received a follow up phone call today making sure Eve was doing OK.
If you go to Sayrebrook, request to see Dr. Birmingham or Dr. Bill. I don’t believe Dr. Bill is there full-​time — only for special instances like a dental procedure.
Trust me, you will receive the best care with Dr. Birmingham or Dr. Bill.

Friendly staff and wonderful vets. If you love your pets, this is the place to go. They offer boarding too at reasonable prices.
