I had my wisdom teeth removed here. It started badly. They couldn’t run my card, and they took a patient who had a later appointment then me first, so I had to wait for an over an hour before the procedure. I got all four wisdom teeth out, but they gave me an ice bonnet that only covered one cheek. I was told I could call (24 hours a day) if I had any questions. Later in the day I threw up, and because my aftercare instructions said (in regard to the day of the operation), «do not rinse/​do not spit.» I was distraught as there was vomit on my still fresh wound and I had no idea how to clean it off. When I called, the woman rudely told me she couldn’t tell me anything, and that she would have the doctor call me later. This was upsetting as I thought this was a relatively simple question, and I was told that I could call if I had any questions. The doctor didn’t call me back for fifteen minutes. He told me to just use salt water to clean it, an answer it seems a receptionist could have given me. I didn’t do that initially because it says specifically not to rinse with saltwater the first day. He acted like I was stupid for not having rinsed with saltwater in the first place. I was also still bleeding a lot, and the doctor condescendingly told me it was because I placed the gauze incorrectly. He gave me very specific instructions for how to place the gauze, which I appreciated; but, by how he described it, whoever put on the initial gauze after the operation placed it incorrectly. No one had explained to me how to correctly place the gauze until then. The doctor acted like I was still bleeding out of my own stupidity. So overall the experience was unpleasant; however I didn’t have any complications and my mouth is fine now, which I am grateful for.

Update: My mouth guard is nearly worn out (after less than 6 months). I have called on several occasions to ask that Dr. Massey replace the guard or refund my money. I did not receive a return call. So, I went in person to show them the guard. They refused to make a new one or to refund my money. I was told that because I missed my 3^rd appointment (to check the fit) that they cant help me. They did say they could make me a new, thicker, guard for about the same amount I just spent ($ 800 from insurance and $ 300 out of pocket). Despite knowing that I am unhappy with the guard they have made no effort to make it right. I have heard of similar issues with 2 other patients. I recommend you go somewhere else and perhaps file a complaint with the board of dentistry. It has been a major pain.
