My burger was fine, and the service is polite. However, each of the whiskey drinks we ordered was billed at a dollar more than listed on the menu. We challenged it, of course, and received the explanation that since we ordered our drinks on the rocks, they needed to charge us more, since they had to pour more for our drinks?! This was not mentioned anywhere on the menu, and I have never experienced this at any other bar. The price you pay should be the price on the menu! We paid it anyway, but I am seriously pissed — how can this be legal? And even if it is legal, it is not decent.

Had nice quick dinner on Sunday. Went w family and shared our food, so we all tried each othersDelicious burger w all the fixings(blue cheese, bacon etc), tasty tuna wrap and flatbread salad(it’s more like a salad w ham and cheese in a grilled wrap). Big portions, reasonable prices. I also substituted my chips that normally come w burger for salad w no up-charge! It was really good food overall

My family and I were referred to this hotel by the westin concierge with the pretense that it was better for kids. Prior to going I checked westin website and menu there. Kids menu, pizza burgers. When we went it was a cocktail lounge. Menu minimal with burger and sandwich with bag of chips. No children’s menu or boosters. I cannot believe concierge was so off and out of touch with his hotel. Out server had to check to see if the W staff could make 2 hot dogs. They came about 15. Min after the adult meals. No chips. Luckily they are supplied by the bar staff for all entrees. I give 2 stars as our waitress was calling to kitchen asking where are the kids meals without our asking. Would love to see if more formal restaurant aqua had menu similar to online menu or was it a farce as well

This place is an atrocity. My first meal here was a «shrimp caesar salad.» This was some lettuce topped with(canned?) micro-shrimp, and I paid north of $ 15 at the end for the privilege. The second, and final, attempt was a «pulled pork wrap,» which I ended up taking to go because it took too long and I had to get to a conference session. This was a sickly-sweet mutilation of pig that dripped with an unrecognizable, vaguely cheesy pink sauce. I threw it away after a couple of bites and decided that there had to be a better way. Run! Run for your lives!

Love this place– great atmosphere and service, a little pricey but well worth it! On colder nights sit outside by the fire…

I hate this bar! I usually love hotel bars, especially at the Westin. Unfortunately, this bar makes me sad. The décor is bad — which I can normally ignore but the service is the absolute worst!!! The bourbon selection is good but what about those of us who don’t drink bourbon? Since it’s a hotel bar you would expect a larger variety. So being good sports, we ordered the chocolate pretzel and a blood orange truffle with two Julep drinks. The Julep was awful. I’ll stick to the Louisiana version. The pretzel was OK but the truffle was microscopic. My advice?(For what it’s worth.). Drink elsewhere across the river and ride the water taxi back to the hotel for sleeping.

Bourbon+Chocolate=Happy Husband Happy Husband=Happy Wife When we heard this lounge has over 115 bourbons, plus a case of local chocolates… well, it was a no-brainer that we would be spending time here. Although we almost couldn’t! Busy Friday night(this lounge is in the Westin which is across from the Convention Center), we came back to the hotel around 10:00 only to discover the lounge was packed! There was NO where to land… especially disconcerting when several tables were taken up by families with children. Seriously folks? Even the kids looked like they knew they shouldn’t be in there! Sadly we went back to our room… bourbon & chocolate lounge denied! At this point, we were thinking, why the heck would you have such a small lounge for a convention center resort? Fast forward to Saturday night and we practically had the place to ourselves. Which meant we had an awesome Bartender Gal practically to ourselves, giving exemplary service. Husband could happily get his Bourbon on, and he did it justice!(We have the bar receipt to attest to it… not that they were outrageously priced, but because he tried a «few»(cough cough). He literally had a book-full of bourbons to choose from, and only one that he requested couldn’t be found. Meanwhile, I was happy with a couple glasses of decent chardonnay at a decent price. We also tried two of the chocolates that are in a glass case near the bar. We tried an orange one and a slightly spicy one. The latter was the favorite. They were very small and okay, but nothing thrilling, especially for the price(near $ 3 each). By now we had made friends at the comfortable bar. We also realized food would probably be wise to soak up some of the alcohol, so we ordered Calamari which came on a bed of spinach. It was a giant bowl that we didn’t put too much of a dent in. Tasted good, but was pretty rich and oily. Overall, this is a great lounge/bar that is especially wonderful if you have a Bourbon lover in your midst!
