Better smoked pork than any BBQ joint on Habersham and they definitely ain’t blowin’ smoke ;) Can’t beat the prices, either. Irresistible smoked pork butt for sammiches, Brunswick stew, or just eat it! It’s freakin’ good! I love you, R&W!

Very small grocery but also personable, friendly staff. Also, interesting people watching, food oddities and convenient.

Jones Red and White Food store is the place to be for grocery shopping. Ahh, there’s so much history at this place. It’s family owned and passed down from generation to generation. People come here not just for grocery shopping, but the remarkable history, since the 1980s Jones has offered quality food and it’s ideal location situated in the middle of Ardsley park area. Ardsley park well known for the historic area of Savannah, Georgia. I come here regularly to check out the wide selection of fresh produce, discounted and weekly ads. Here you have a bbq station with a variety of smoked ribs, butts, and roasted chicken. Have I mention the bbq pulled pork sandwich? Their sandwich is savory, juicy, sweet, nector honey, shredded pulled pork. Yes, people come here just for that, but wait… they also offer decent prices. This place accepts EBT for cook food too. They have a private parking lot and street parking. This place is the main focal center of bustling business surrounding it.

I’m definitely a fan of this place! They have something for everyone from high end to low end. Experience: I called to see what their hours were on the Fourth of July. The friendly man on the phone said that they were open until 9:00 and that«we’ll be waiting for you.» It was sweet and very indicative of their personal service. When I got there one of the owners was working produce and his son(I think its his son according to a news article I read about the place) was on the floor too. I was sort of shocked by that on a holiday. BBQ: It is great! The prices are reasonable and there didn’t seem to be any fat on the pork. My husband didn’t really like the greens, he said there was just something off. The baked beans have ton of meat in them and they are nearly a meal in themselves. Produce: The prices were pretty reasonable and fresh. I appreciated their deals, including super competitive about price. Price: I am very impressed for an independent market like this. Their prices are very competitive. Drawbacks: I wish they had a deli or some sort of fresh prepared station. But they would have to sacrifice on something else. Also, they only sell energy drinks by the single. This doesn’t take up a huge ton of shelf space and I wish they had them in packs. Also, a better selection of high end ice cream, like Talenti or similar would be appreciated. I like supporting local places like this, and hope the community can help them compete with Whole Foods. I assume they will. I’ll keep going here for my staples, visiting Wal Mart for things that are more shelf stable, and hitting Whole Foods for their BREAD when they open. I love that about them. I do hope that Red and White will keep their produce standards high, I hate paying Whole Foods prices for produce! Plus… they double bagged my things so that I could carry it with confidence on my bike.

It’s ok if you live in the area and need to grab something quick but not a store I would use as a regular grocery store. Selection is limited, but prices are fair.
