This place is out of business but their website is still up and they are running a LivingSocial special. Fail.

Stopped in here on Saturday night. And to be honest, the only reason I stopped in here was because I’d gotten a drink coupon at their table at Bacon Fest earlier in the day. But I’m glad I did. I’ll admit that I don’t love the name Feather & Freight, but I do love what the new owners of this place have done with the location(which was previously Live Wire and J.J. Cagney’s, two places that I spent a fair amount of time in over the years). The new décor is nice and they’ve added a good drink menu(I had one with rye whiskey, lemonade and basil, and it was delicious). And the employees couldn’t have been more polite. The location is a bit out of the way, which likely worked against previous bars that set up shop in this space as well, but Feather & Freight has the makings of a really great bar.

Fun, no frills place with plenty of room to enjoy your drink. Repurposed trash cans for giant beer pong, some shuffleboard, a few indoor swings and live music are all excellent ingredients for a good time. Very chill live music played through the night while we enjoyed our friendly competition with our drinks. Bartender was friendly and a great conversationalist; great qualities!

Giant beer pong, pool tables, lots of space. We ended a pub crawl here & had some great cold beers!
