Got what seemed like a good deal through Groupon. When making the appointment, I offered to give directions to my house but was told it wouldn’t be necessary. 30 minutes after the cleaner was due, I called and was told«something happened.» I asked why they didn’t contact me and was told they couldn’t locate my house. I reiterated that I’d offered to give directions. The person I spoke to was apologetic and assured me that we could reschedule sometime«tomorrow, Saturday, or first thing Monday morning. «She never called back. I have asked Groupon to refund my money. Avoid this company, even if they manage to stay in business.

This service was horrible. We got a groupon for these cleaners. First appointment was cancelled because of a sick cleaner, then the second appointment was delayed 90-min due to a flat tire, but then they were two and a half hours late again, with ZERO communication that there would be further delay. What are the odds that for both of our appointments, we have both of these«out of our control» events happen? Feels like they are making it up as we go. Totally ruined our day, because we have to adjust our schedules to keep the kids and dog out if their hair. Owners have made ZERO effort to make things right.

oh, Magic Touch, please reach out and touch me! i was going to buy a groupon for their service, but opted to buy it directly from owner, Margarito, because he allowed on the phone that his profit is higher without paying out Groupon. that’s fair and honest and no problem, right? i was told on the phone he has tons of accolades for the service. sure, send ‘em over. communication with the company is sketchy and far more miss than hit — i think one of every four or five emails i’ve sent has been responded to. and the calling is a little interesting — clearly not a business line, just Margarito on his couch. that’s fine, i’m an entrepreneur, too. but let’s fake it, shall we? his women came and one was a powerhouse and one appeared lost. gal A, and i tried desperately for her name, so please forgive my lack of it now, was a sheer ball of cleaning thunder — things were upended, knick knacks were moved, all was right with the world. the cohort cleaner, inexplicably, made no move on the most obvious of messes. as an example, she diligently motored through the bathroom floor, but why you wouldn’t then do the mirror is a little confusing. all floor, no tub or shower, nor any surrounds. in the bedroom she windexed a couple of wood surfaces, but only where there were no knick knacks in her way — very odd — just one type of cleaner on every surface, and the surface only counts if it has nothing on it. i digress, first world problems, so i’ll shut the hell up, but i will say the gals were an hour late. probably not problematic in most cases — in mine it backed up to guests arriving. either way a simple«sorry we’re late» would have sufficed, but no acknowledgement was made. interestingly, though, they were VERY punctual about the time to leave, 10 minutes early, in fact. this is all a little more interesting by my having tried to reach Margarito for some recompense or thoughts. note, too, Magic Touch operates under its own tax code. i thought i was around 7% downtown, but their rate is $ 18 per $ 159. perhaps running one’s own business comes with rewriting all the laws :). i hated to publish something inflammatory, but i guess it’s where were at, given Margarito is utterly unresponsive. i’ve sent the owner multiple emails over several days, to which he’s not responded. bottom line: i’d hire elsewhere if i were you.
