Continental Pools services commercial and residential pools with a staff of over 50 people throughout the mid-​Atlantic with offices in Savage, MD, Chantilly, VA, Newport News, VA and Boston, MA. We hire and train approximately 1,400 seasonal employees. Continental Pools provides swimming pool management, maintenance and construction services.

* Commercial Management– we provide a turn-​key service with all aspects of the pool operation including hiring, training and paying the lifeguard staff for apartments, condos, HOA’s, country clubs, hotels, motels and fitness centers.

* Commercial Maintenance Service– delivering periodic visits from a cleaning service, which also provides the necessary routine maintenance of the pumps, filters and chemical expertise.

* Commercial Renovation and Repairs– giving clients the masonry, plumbing, concrete, and electrical repairs and upgrades to keep in-​ground pools in the best possible shape to meet code requirements or simply to modernize. This includes replastering, coping, tile, whitecoat, filters, pumps, safety covers and more. We can reshape, replumb and renovate any facility, even if it’s on the roof.

* Residential Maintenance Service– delivering periodic visits from a cleaning service, which also provides the necessary routine maintenance of the pumps, filters and chemical expertise. We also provide the repairs and improvements to these privately owned pools.

History

Established in 1987.

Continental Pools was originally founded as a residential service company. When market changes presented the opportunity to provide lifeguard management, the owners actively pursued this service offering. They felt that there was a need for a more responsible lifeguard service that was held to a higher standard of safety than the competition. This has become the company’s primary endeavor, with safe lifeguard operations as the core value. The company also provides service and improvements to both commercial and residential accounts. Continental Pools has evolved to a sizable swimming pool management company that’s financially stable, has a long history of top performance, has staffing depth, keeps multiple experts in-​house and boasts significant legal and insurance resources. One of the things that they are most proud of is the list of long time employees and clients, some of which are approaching twenty years with the company.
