Received a Paul & Shark coat as a gift. The material fell apart and the company said «too bad.» It was an expensive gift for a company to not stand behind their product. Very disappointed and recommend you buy somewhere else.

I have been buying Paul and Shark since the early 90s and have over20 sweaters. I have cared for them all easily.
I bought a $ 300 sweater in NYC store abpout 2 years ago.
I washed it according to the directions and it came out with a bunch of holes and could not be worn. The directions said washable and I have washed many of my other sweaters without problems.
The store manager, Glenn, in NYC said to send it back so I then spend $ 10. to send it back.
They said it could be rewoven but at my expense.
This is pretty shabby treatment for someone who has spent $ 6000 – 7000 on their products.
So I not only lost a fairly new sweater, I had to pay to send it back.
Very bad treatment for a long term customer.
I will not buy from them again.

Had a bad experience with them.
I acquired a shirt and tie from them at the Sausalito Caledonia Street Fair Silent Auction. The items appeared to have been donated by the store, so even though the shirt was larger than my size, I assumed I could take it over to the store and exchange it for the same shirt in a smaller size.
Upon going over to the store and requesting that the exchange be made, the store manager was quite indignant and flatly refused to make the exchange. She indicated that they did not donate it (there goes their extra credit for supporting local events) and demanded to know who had donated it (I’m guessing because they didn’t want their shirts being donated!)
All I can say is that I have a very expensive shirt for someone who is an XL and the manager of Paul & Shark has really proven that they are not a business that is community friendly.
I’m sure they will be happy to take your money, but beware if you expect a reasonable discourse outside of that.
