Bruce A Davey, DDS

Went here for the first time and did a cleaning. No issue with the cleaning. they took x-​rays and told me that they would inspect them and get back to me on the results. It has been about 10 days and I haven’t had a call back or any contact with the results from the x-​rays so I am not impressed with that.

I’ve been a patient of Bruce Davey since I was a teenager. He is the man! In my early twenties I wasn’t happy with the proportions of my two front teeth… Felt they appeared too large and square. Bruce knew exactly what small changes needed to be made. He filed them oh so subtly to round the edges which better complimented my smile. I get compliments all the time on my smile/​teeth and refer them to Dr. Davey!
Also, I can’t write this review without mentioning Gail. She is the BEST dental hygienist! Thank you Gail for doing great work on my teeth year after year.

Our family started visiting this office when Dr. Kudler had the practice in the early 80s. When Dr. Kudler retired, Dr. Davie took over the practice, and the transition was seamless. My wife and I have had a variety of work done, from fillings to crowns, all carefully and skillfully performed with good lasting results. Our children, too, were well cared for, and the preventative care and lessons resulted in relatively little in the way of cavities and fillings. When the teen years came along, we were given solid recommendations for orthodontists, whose work also turned out well. Like Dr. Davey, the office staff, including Carol and Terri, and the new lady (forget her name – sorry), have always been cordial on the phone or on site, and they have been patient and helpful in scheduling appointments whether routine or urgent. Gail has been our hygienist all these years, and she has always performed her tasks cheerfully and efficiently. It’s also enjoyable talking with her and gazing at her excellent photographs on the walls. There is a new dentist helping out Dr. Davey. My wife and I have each seen her once and have been well satisfied with her work, too.

Dr. Davey is a GREAT dentist – the best I’ve ever had in California. He’s a kind, caring, skilled, honest human being.
He’s there when you need him, his prices are incredibly fair, and while nobody likes going to the dentist, I never dislike going to see Dr. Davey because I always know he’ll take good care of me!
His staff is also friendly and professional – Carol’s always so nice!
This weekend I had a toothache. I called – and he answered – not a machine or a service, him. He said he’d get me in on Monday, and he did.
I went in, we talked and laughed, he gave me an x-​ray and told me that it looked like I needed a root canal, not a diagnosis he’d give lightly. He recommended a dental surgeon he said was great, and charged me so little I was surprised – but grateful.
I recommend him to my friends, and I recommend him to you.

I started seeing Dr. Davey in the early 80s. He has been MY dentist ever since. I lived in Europe for 5 years and New York for 5 years but always flew back to the Bay Area to see Dr. Davey. I have tried other dentists, but none could compare. I now live in Sacramento but still drive the 110 miles to see Dr. Davey every six months. A Dentist with no pain and almost no discomfort! My daughter, who also flies home from Europe for her annual visit to Dr Davey has been seeing him for 25 years. I’m not sure what I will do when he retires.
Not only is he great, but everyone in the office is terrific as well.
Additionally the office is a photographic art gallery with some amazing originals by Gayle, one of the hygienists, who has been there longer than Dr. Davey.

Bruce is a wonderful human being and an amazing dentist. My husband has always hated the dentist and I dare say that it was almost enjoyable. He let me stay in the room and gave him medication prior to help him through it. They are really delightful and I really enjoy my visits.

We were on vacation when my husband’s tooth started to go bad. As we boarded the Sausalito ferry, he decided he couldn’t stand it anymore. I consulted Unilocal,found Dr. Davey, and called the office from the boat. The wonderful Carol fit him in within an hour to see Dr. Davey. The folks in the office couldn’t have been nicer, and Dr. Davey thoroughly checked my husband out, determined that some antibiotics would probably reduce the symptoms til we got home (they did!), and sent us on our way after charging us an extremely reasonable fee.
It would not be exaggerating to say that this experience strengthened my faith in people. If I was local, I’d be a patient. ‘Nuff said.

Dr. Davey is the best dentist I’ve ever had — hands down. I picked him randomly by walking the streets of Caledonia (I liked his waiting lounge — so I figured I’d try him out). This random decision definitely paid off.
I’ve been now going to him for over five years and referred over five of my friends to him (one friend also never had a dentist he could go to and thought Dr. Davey was awesome as well). His dental hygienists (Gail and Mary Beth) are also great and his reception staff is always warm, personable, and fun.

I’ve been going to Dr. Davey for 10 years and never been disappointed. The dental work is top quality. I’ve had some demanding root canals, fillings, crowns, wisdom teeth pulled and never even so much as needed an aspirin when I got home. Dr. Davey always gets it right the first time.
The office staff are very nice, very professional and really on top of things. They’re all really friendly and make you feel welcome. And I always find Dr. Davey’s conversation even during proceedures very entertaining. Prices are reasonable and everyone is very honest. I highly recommend this dentist practice.

Dr. Davey really helped me in a pinch. I just needed someone to look at my mouth before I saw my regular dentist in Southern California. He not only got me an appointment that worked for my crazy work schedule, he was patient and explained everything he was seeing. Then, he took the time to talk to my dad, an orthodontist on the phone. He is a wonderful professional and I would recommend him to anyone.

I have been seeing Bruce Davey on a regular basis for over 10 years and would highly recommend him. He has done a tremendous job in fixing me up over the years (I don’t have the best teeth :(
Moreover, he is honest and a nice guy to boot, as are his staff!

I’ve been seeing this dentist for 15 years. He is truly, amazing. He is personable, thorough, and not overpriced. I’ve referred friends to him and they have all had great experiences with him. His staff is so pleasant to work with, and he’s had the same team with him since I first started going to him. That says a lot — no turnover is a great sign that he is treating his employees as good as his patients!
