I drive by this diner many times on my way to Baraboo. I decided to stop by one day. The staff was friendly, it’s an old school diner. The décor was a little strange– a lot of antiques, doilies and then a mounted fish. The menu was extensive. The food I ordered was very good! Many locals were there when I visited the waitress knew most of them by first name. I must have looked like a tourist because the waitress asked me if I wanted coffee to go as I was finishing up my meal and getting ready to go. I thought that was nice.

The breakfast here is to die for. I had French toast and it was great! Hash browns were nicely seasoned. Service was friendly and efficient.

This place doesn’t even deserve one star. So nasty. I’ve eaten here a total of 3 times, all three times, the food and service was awful! First time I went, I got sick afterwards, second and third times I went was because other family members wanted to go, why, I don’t know. I got French toast with bacon, the French toast literally tasted like cardboard with syrup on it. And it was so obvious the overpriced bacon was the nasty shit that is already precooked. I’ll stick with the eagle inn where they serve REAL food. Not to mention how rude the trashy staff is. Will never eat here again.
