Pappagallo’s Pizza

Jury is still out. I’ve ordered twice the pizza and stromboli are great. However I ordered the chicken tenders with Buffalo sauce once and got plain wings.
I’ll order again to see if this was a one time miss.

We used Pappagallo’s to cater a dinner party for 20. The food was amazing, and portions were abundant. We ordered the baked ziti with meat, added a side of meatballs (they were delicious) and a 2ft Italian sub. The meal included a salad and plenty of garlic bread. Rave reviews from all who attended our dinner. Thanks Dave and staff for the excellent job. We’ll definitely use you again for our next catering need.

Superrrrr good pizza. The crust is always perfect and the sauce is always the right amount and same great taste. My dad loves their spaghetti and meatballs and their calzones. Friendly atmosphere and great service

Decent little beachfront pizza joint.
We popped in today for a quick bite for lunch.
The Italian nightmare sandwich was really tasty… As was the pepperoni pizza (great crust).
Friendly and attentive server (Willie). We would definitely pop in again if in the area.

Thanks to the Unilocal community I found this place and was not disappointed.
The pizza was very well done. The crust was cooked perfectly and was the perfect thickness IMO. The sauce used on the pizza was also very good, just enough flavor that did over power the fresh ingredients that really made it great.
Alcohol: beer and wine.
Service: Very friendly and fast
They are almost finished with an outdoor patio that will make for perfect ocean front seating.
Prices are very reasonable, will come back and try more options and update.

Best pizza I’ve ever had! Staff is super friendly as well, and the owner is top of the line! Great customer service and food! I would definitely recommend.

I ordered two chicken parm dinners and a two liter of Sprite to be delivered last night. The chicken was cooked to the consistency of shoe leather and the accompanying spaghetti had no sauce. Just over $ 28, not including tip. Never, ever again. I’m giving one star only because Unilocal is making me!

If I could give no stars I would. I went today to try out pappagallos, I walked in was not greeted proceeded to the carryout order counter to place an order and was completely ignored. I had 3 servers walk past me multiple times and not even acknowledge me. Just before deciding to leave someone came out of the back and said were about to close (6:30 pm on a Saturday with the door stating 10pm is closing time) did you want to put something in real quick? Customer service was HORRIBLE, and I Will NOT BE BACK. On a second note being so disgusted with the service at pappagallos lead me back to Unilocal where I found a true gem! So thanks for your lackluster service pappagallos I maybe would have never found Petrillos without it.

Excellent Italian food, blew away my expectations. Many items made in house including the bread. Definitely a step above most Italian places. We’ve driven by it many times like most and never stopped. Our new goto Italian for beachside.

We continue to enjoy this excellent local Italian restaurant. Food is always freshly prepared and from time to time they offer new specialties. They also have meals for the health conscious just ask most are not on the menu. The bread is all fresh baked and makes any meal. Once again the Mahi sandwich (, Homey). Is do good.
Pizza is good and I prefer thin crust once again just ask if that’s what you like.

Best pizza I have had in Florida since moving here last year. We also ordered the tree hugger calzone. Fresh and delicious! We will definitely be back

Awesome! What a find. This place has been here forever and I always wanted to try it. We had the habenero bacon cheese sticks *homemade* they were amazing! We both tried the spicy sausage pasta, sausage was spectacular, wonderful flavors and perfectly seasoned it had just enough heat, marinara was some of the best I’ve ever had. Our server Willy was so pleasant, attentive and very genuine. So glad we stopped in and we will be back for sure!

2^nd update (30 days later) — just ordered and received the replacement garlic pizza and it is absolutely delicious! Have updated my star rating to five based on this delicious pizza and the excellent customer service.
Update: Within hours of my review, the owner contacted me personally with an apology and offered a credit for the pizza that was delivered wrong. That type of customer service is rare and very much appreciated. Based on that alone, I have changed my rating from 3 to 4 stars and will definitely frequent his establishment (or get delivery anyway) again. Thank you for doing what you can to make my experience better.
Recently ordered a garlic pizza, garlic rolls and cheesy bread for delivery. Delivery time was quoted at 30 minutes and the pizza arrived in about 40 minutes so I was quite pleased considering I had read several reviews about slow delivery. Unfortunately, the pizza that arrived was not what I had ordered. When I called to inquire, the young man on the phone apologized and offered to bring me a new order but I didn’t have time for that, he wasn’t willing to offer a future credit or anything like that. Just an apology which I guess was better than nothing. The food that I received was just okay. Large pizza is 14″ so a little on the small side and taste was nothing to rave about. Garlic rolls were okay, nothing very special and cheesy bread was hard and too crunchy. Would not order again. I may order from this restaurant again so that I can try the garlic pizza I actually ordered but since everything else was just kind of passable, I may just pass on ordering again.

Pizza was delicious! The cheese sticks are the bomb! I would recommend this place! Excellent food!

We had an amazing meal at Pappagallos tonight! Attentive wait staff, great food, and very inexpensive! We are moving to the area and will be making this our preferred Italian restaurant.

I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs were under seasoned. Quite a bit. It was all pretty bland. Sorry. Otherwise I really like this place. The strombolis are really good.

Tried Pappagallo’s for the first time two weeks ago. Went with an office group and called ahead the orders before we left. We arrived, were seated immediately (they weren’t busy), drink orders taken and delivered quickly, and our food was served within about 10 minutes of arrival. After our meal we were given complimentary brownies which were AMAZING and quite a surprise. I ordered the pepperoni and mushroom individual pizza which I thoroughly enjoyed. I especially appreciated that you could taste each component of the pizza, it tasted fresh and wasn’t overpowered by any other ingredient. Also, the pizza dough did not taste sweet like some chain pizza places… another plus in my book. Just like in Italy (I previously lived in Europe for several years and frequented Italy a number of times), their pizza is simple and delicious. Don’t be fooled by the over indulging, bulky, calorie loaded pizza from name brand chains… this pizza is much more authentic. The service was fast and friendly too! This is definitely my new «go to» place when I want pizza.

I have had a lot of terrible pizza in Florida and have been tirelessly looking for something that didn’t taste doughy and cheap. I have finally found it here.
Walked in and was greeted by the staff and immediately sat in a booth. The place quickly filled up and the waitresses were very polite and courteous despite being so busy. They offered complementary bread roll which were delicious while we waited for our pizza to be cooked. Once out it was delicious, everything from the dough used, to the sauce, and even the cheese. Me and my dad ordered the Deluxe and I must say all the ingredients were fresh, from the olives to the onions and even the mushrooms and green peppers.
The outside of this place doesn’t look like your standard pizza place but it is the best I’ve had in the 3 years I’ve lived in Florida. Absolutely worth it!!!

I will start with the review of the buffalo chicken pizza we ordered. AMAZING! We asked for garlic on it as well and it was nice to see actual garlic chunks and not a powder. The crust was awesome as well. I would definitely recommend it. We also received 2 HUGE garlic rolls that came with our order which was also amazing. Food ¹⁰⁄₁₀
The service was good to start, very welcoming in a seat yourself enviorment. However our waitress was VERY inattentive. Paying more attention to her friends sitting behind us than the fact that we were sitting 5 – 7 minutes without a beverage. I am a stickler for good service and this just threw us off completly. Service could use some work. Service ⁵⁄₁₀.
