In my first ever visit with Dr. Rapal and team, I felt very comfortable and welcome as soon as I walked in the door. The team has a perfect balance between professional and energetic attitude. They go above and beyond for their customers. They’re not just experts on teeth. They get to know you as a person and make you feel cared for.
The environment of the office is quiet and relaxing and you can tell as people come and go that they leave happy and satisfied. If you are someone who worries about going to the dentist because of fear of being judged or fear of the dentist all together, this place is worth a chance. They treat every customer as if they are a close family friend. I felt valued and important just as you should as a customer. My expectations were exceeded and I look forward to my next appointment.

I was so scared of going to the dentist, I haven’t gone in two years. How embarrassing! She made me so comfortable as did her staff. I knew exactly what was going to happen, how much it was going to cost and believe it or not, I’m excited to go back. Highly recommend them.

I had my first visit here last week, and it was amazing! It’s a very nice, calming atmosphere. The ladies at the front desk are very sweet and helpful. My hygienist was Kim and she was great — super thorough and gentle. She explained everything before she did it which was nice for me so I could mentally prepare myself. (I hate flossing and I hadn’t been to the dentist in a really long time so my gums and teeth weren’t in the best shape ever). She really drove it home that I need to floss and even showed me a short video on proper flossing technique. I’m excited about improving my dental health and visiting the ladies at Dr. Rapal’s office again soon!

I just had work done on my tooth. I was very pleased with Dr. Rapal. Before the procedure she explains everything to you of what she will be doing. Then when she is doing the procedure she keeps your informed of what is happening. She asks to see if you OK. If your feeling anything. Then once the procedure is done she gives you about what the next step is. I was very pleased with her work and will continue to go back to her. I will be referring her to my friends and family. The front office staff is also very pleasant and informing you of insurance and treatment plan.

The only person I trust with my teeth. She is meticulous and honest. Just what you want in a dentist. I got a full set of upper veneers and I have never had such positive feedback on anything ever. She spent a lot of time ensuring everything went smoothly and that I left satisfied. Office staff and assistants are wonderful as well. Highly recommend her to everyone!

I’ve just recently returned to Dr. Kiran Rapal’s practice as a patient after a few years with another provider due to a change in my employment insurance. I started out originally with Dr. Suzanne Hamilton, who Dr. Rapal was a partner with. So, I’ve been a client for 10yrs+.
I came back because Dr. Rapal is very professional and her office staff is always very courteous and nice. As far as her dental work, Dr. Rapal’s work is meticulous and even after a couple years, I had NO problems. From scheduling the appt. for the exam and cleaning was quick to make and with ease to getting situated at her very nice and clean office. I am glad I came back and brought my family with me. My 12yr old had an exam and cleaning and we both left smiling. Both Hygienists did a great job! All I can say is I will not make the mistake again of leaving her practice because I was not happy at all with where I was at before. It’s hard to find quality dentists and staff who truly care and with an office environment that is professional and very welcoming.
Im not to sure about other’s peoples problems or issues posted before, but I found that with proper communications about billing, expectations and treatment, that things go well and have for me. Again, I have been with Dr. Rapal’s office well over 10yrs and have not experienced any difficulty other than my change in insurance plans which caused me to change providers. Anyway, I am retired and back for good and my family and I look forward to a nice relationship with our dentist and her staff! PS: My teeth are STILL PEARLY WHITE from 6yrs ago from a whitening kit that Dr. Rapal treated me with! My dental implant and all the filings she did are still strong and good! I Highly recommend Dr. Rapal!

Things seemed like they went downhill after the few good experiences I had. When I wasn’t worked on by Dr. Rapal, one of her other dentists claimed I had some soft spots in the back of my molars that needed to be drilled out, they drilled them and didn’t find anything. Great, unnecessary dental work: P I found that they were always pushing me to get whitening there but outside the office I regularly get comments on how beautiful and white my teeth are; seemed like they were pushing that when I don’t need it either. It is for these reasons that I have moved on to what I feel is a better and more conservative dentist.

I’ve been seeing Dr Rapal for over 6 years, off and on. She has always treated me very professionally and with a warmth that shows she genuinely cares about the whole person. She is very conscientious and meticulous in her work, which I greatly appreciate as I want all my dental work to be performed perfectly with no need for «corrections».
Her office assistants are very helpful and the dental hygienists that have helped me have been very patient and gentle. Definitely a plus!

The same review as before for the quality of work, which is always excellent.
However, they really need to warn me before charging me for extra services NOT covered by my insurance. It’s gone on for way too long now.

Note: I didn’t actually get any work done by Dr Rapal, only came in for a consultation. So this review is only based on that one experience.
I was referred to Dr. Rapal by a specialist. I didn’t actually have any work done, but came in for a consultation. She was very helpful, thorough and honest, even disagreeing with the work suggested by the specialist. I appreciated her honesty, thoroughness and empathy. Definitely one of the friendliest dentists I’ve ever met. She even followed up with a very kind letter in the mail. If she wasn’t so far away, I’d love to make her my regular dentist since the Saratoga staff and facilities are also so nice.

Perfect competent performance: However, BE WARNED! This dental office GROSSLY UNDERESTIMATES the cost of dental work and ASSUMES full insurance coverage in giving you the estimate which in reality, NEVER OCCURS.
Their paperwork is also imprecise and unapologetic, two things you DO NOT want from any medical practitioner.

Let’s get 1 thing straight: I have bad, bad teeth. No fluoride as a child + genetically crappy teeth = nightmare dental work all my life.
I’ve had multiple dentists in Denver, Rochester, NY, Bristol, TN, Honolulu, HI & Houston, TX; Dr. Rapal is WAY better than any other dentist I’ve been to anywhere.
She is efficient, listens to my quirky requests for dental procedures and really accommodates my needs. I’ve never had any difficulty getting a same-​day appointment (even when I’ve called after 2PM!), nor have I ever had any issues with the dental work I’ve had done there.
Dr. Rapal and her staff really go the extra mile!
Oh — and the ‘spa-​like’ experience with the music, scented neck warmer and outdoor views don’t hurt one bit!

I started going to this office of Dentistry 22 years ago when Dr Harley Bragg was the Dentist. He is a fine man and a very good Dentist. I used to work a few blocks away. Lori Fell who was the Hygienist introduced me to Dr. Bragg. Lori was a client at our Bank, she told me how professional and caring their team was, and how patient care and success were paramount to Dr. Bragg and the team. So I met the team and Dr. Bragg, Lori was right, thanks Lori. I received excellent care, education and professionalism at the office. Then Dr. Bragg announced he was retiring, I was very concerned, after all we built up such a level of trust for many years, what was I to do? . The office was turned over to a wonderful person Dr. Suzanne Hamilton, Dr. Hamilton assured me the level of patient care and professionalism would continue and would be at the top of their list. I thought about it and decided to stay and give it a try. I’m glad I did Dr. Hamilton was great !, she was a very good Dentist and genuinely cared about her clients and staff. Dr. Hamilton moved the office and staff to a new location a few miles down the road and Created her vision of what she wanted to have as her Practice, A caring Professional Staff, a Spa like environment with a friendly and relaxing waiting room for patients, very professional and cordial receptionist area. Then everyone was shocked, Dr. Hamilton suddenly and sadly passed away It really broke every ones heart. Family Staff, Friends & Clients alike. Myself and probably everyone else was now wondering what to do. It was up in the air on who would take over. After a short period of time it was announced Dr. Rapal would take over the practice. Dr. Rapal pledged to everyone that nothing would change at the office, Dr. Hamilton’s Dream of having a High Quality Affordable & Professional Dental team with a wonderful Spa like experience would continue and Dr. Rapal would add some of her own elegant touches to continue the concept. As far as I’m concerned Dr. Rapal has kept her promise. She is a wonderful and caring Dentist, Thank you Dr. Rapal, Dr Hamilton would be proud … The staff is very good and my Hygienist Mandy is terrific. I know this is a bit long, but I have a lot of history and emotion with this Very fine Group of professional’s and wanted to share it, I was their yesterday. They really care !!!, I retired several years ago and Travel from Half Moon Bay to continue my relationship with Dr. Rapal and the Team, Go team !!!, also many thanks to Lori Fell who so wisely steered me to Dr. Bragg many years ago and for all your encouraging advice … thank you again … A grateful Client Fred DiFrisco

Our whole family goes to this office. Kids started at 3 years of age and they continually have had an excellent experience. They are older and now look forward to the dentist and exams. They have told their friends at school and other kids have also gone to this practice. They are very friendly and all around a great experience.

Dr. Rapal is an exceptional dentist. I wanted a healthy, «hollywood» smile (a complete restoration), and the results were outstanding. Not only is she excellent as a Dentist, but she is very honest and ethical. I’m so thrilled with the work and recommend her highly.

I just had another visit with Dr. Rapal for a crown preparation and was so pleased with her work once again. She is professional, courteous and very compassionate as to your feelings and comfort. I have had several dentists in the past years and I will have to say that Dr. Rapal is the best of them all. Dr. Rapal has a very organized dental office and all of her staff is very well trained and knowledgeable in their field. She has 2 offices for your convenience one in Sunnyvale off Lawrence Expressway and one on Saratoga Ave and 85. She works occasional Saturdays to try an meet everyone’s needs as well as a few evenings a week. If you need any dental work done you need to call Dr. Rapal.

The worst business practices and customer service I have ever experienced! I wish that a ZERO star option were available to use just for the review of this office.
Be warned: this dental office grossly underestimates the cost of dental work. Their paperwork is also imprecise and unapologetic, two things you do not want from any medical practitioner.
When the office made a mistake on my bill, I of course refused to pay the disputed amount. Instead of trying to negotiate or settle the account, the dental office sent the matter to a collection agency. Because of their actions, my credit score has dropped significantly: almost 125 points, from excellent to bad. You can imagine, in this economy, how devastating this is. Negligence and irresponsibility demonstrated by businesses like this dental office impact a person’s ability to refinance or borrow money from bank institutions. I am someone who always pays legitimate debts on time and I maintain an excellent credit history. I simply cannot believe the audacity of this dental practice. They abuse the system and show no remorse in tarnishing a customer’s credit record because of a mistake that they, the office, made.
Dr. Rapal’s office quoted me an estimate of out-​of-​pocket expenses for almost a thousand dollars. I paid 100% of the estimate before the work was completed. I only started questioning them when they started asking me for nearly double the original estimate in addition to what I have already paid. In the beginning, I was baffled but offered to split the difference 50/​50, that is, I would cover half of the amount they said I owe in addition to what they quoted, and they would cover the other half. They said no; they never bothered to negotiate or speak with me. Instead, they immediately turned it over to collections.
The office didn’t even have the professional etiquette, courtesy or conscientiousness to try to find out the reason why there was a huge discrepancy. It was only when I matched the insurance statement against their statement that I realized their major mistake: an estimation of 80% coverage by the insurance instead of 50%. Not only that, the billing codes did not match up! The employees of this dental practice still have yet to admit their mistake. Somehow, they still insist that they are not liable for making the wrong estimate. It makes me wonder why they even bother collecting our insurance cards and calling our dental insurance to verify our dental coverage.
Another terrible mistake this office made was submitting my daughter’s name instead of mine to the collection agency at the beginning of the process. We had to go through another unnecessary and tedious task to remove her name and correct her credit record. Did the office realize that a major error was made? No. Did we ever receive an apology from the office? No.
I will continue to fight for fairness and justice in this case. In the meantime, please be warned about this dental practice. As other people recommend, it is always good to have a second opinion for any dental work. As several people have pointed out, note that the good five star reviews were for the previous dentists (Dr. Yerondopoulos and Dr. Borrelli). This practice was purchased around 2009 by Dr. Rapal.

Dr Rapal took over for my dentist, Todd Yerondopoulis, after his wife got sick. I loved Dr. Yerondopoulis. He was patient, calm, and listened to his patients. I was driving over a ½ hour to continue seeing that dentist. After he left, Kiran Rapal took over the practice. She brought in an entirely new team of hygenists who were really rough with my mouth, not very friendly, and didn’t do a very good job cleaning my teeth. Dr. Rapal was not very personable either. I saw her a few times and then realized I needed to find a new dentist. I wouldn’t go back and wouldn’t recommend this dentist.

Please notice the dates of the other reviews. When Dr. Hamilton was alive her practice was 5+ stars. We all sadly lost her unexpectedly recently.
My husband and I have been clients for many years. Unfortunately they cannot keep up the class and service that her business used to offer.
We will not be returning.
