History

Established in 2001.

This business started in 2001 in Carmel — Monterey, CA as a photography business. When expanding to Florida, the owner designed the property to resemble her CA origins. She never intended to open a café’. The property was by appointment only for 4 years. When she finally opened it up to visitors, she was blessed to discover 1500+ visitors so appreciated her tranquil space, they petitioned her in a guest book to open a café’ where they could stay a while. She gutted her tiny garage, imported a darling cottage from England and turned it into wonderland. She later added seating inside her gallery and brought the garden inside too. To date, the café’ has hosted over 475 bridal and baby showers, 6 weddings, etc… The longer version of this story is on the back of the menu for guests to enjoy. It really all started back in Silicon Valley, when the owner left a six figure job and spent 8 months in prayer. The rest is history as they say! She says, «To God Be all the Glory!»

Meet the Business Owner

Kathryn K.

Business Owner

Kathryn Kittinger has been touted as «One of America’s Premier Children’s Photographers.» She attributes her eye for detail — her gift for vision as the «Grace of God». She never dreampt she would be a photographer nor every open a café. That long story is on the menu, but it all started with her departure from a lucrative job in Silicon Valley, CA in 2000, followed by 8 months of prayer. The café’ is a labor of love. The same obsessive attention to detail she gave to her photo clients over the years is now extended beyond the lens for guests to enjoy. She considers it a labor of love. Never ever boring, and always a thrill to give guests a little heaven on earth!
