History

Established in 1991.

Sarasota Management & Leasing began in 1991 as a rental division for a large real estate company and branched off separately in 1993. Broker R Scott, Corbridge, MPM, RMP joined the National Association of Residential Property Managers in 2000 and is the only property manager in the Sarasota area to be awarded the advance professional designation of Master Property Manager and Residential Management Professional.

Scott Corbridge started Sarasota Management & Leasing in 1991. In 2008 – 2009 served on the national Board of Directors for the National Association of Residential Property Managers and currently sits on the Board for the local Sarasota/​Bradenton chapter. He holds the professional designation Master Property Manager MPM; one of only 2 property managers in Sarasota to hold this designation.

ONLINE APPLICATION — BEWARE. We just moved to Sarasota and enlisted the help of SML. Found our home we wanted to rent, filled out our application ONLINE paid our $ 45 processing fee. Then learned (via email notification) the house was not available to rent or was taken off the market. They are refunding my payment but beware the online status may not be updated. I suggest calling to confirm if a house is still available before executing a contract or paying a fee.

Used this company for over a year until we found out they were handing keys out to prospective tenants and letting them look at properties unescorted.
We assumed a property management company professional would meet prospects at the home unlock the door and show the home. Not so for Sarasota Management and leasing. Any one who called their office asking about a home would be handed a key and told to go look at it and bring it back. Just didn’t seem Kosher to me.
